Went for walk on was fine as expected but on the way back it was very awkward with a bike. I had to chain it up to a pipe in the car deck for the trip. Then when we were getting off I had to go through the were the cars did. Fairly in thought out and I would like to at least see a bike rack
Has some great food stands, some gift shops, and a Starbucks coffee shop inside the pit stop area. The price for the ferry to Victoria is just a bite over $100 for two adults and a vehicle. The ferries run on every couple hours. It takes only an hour and a half to get to Victoria island from the Tsawwassen terminal.
Having to deal with BC Ferries is a necessary downside to living on Vancouver Island. If you have to travel back and forth to the mainland, Tsawwassen Ferry terminal is a good choice. It seems well-organized, with sufficient washroom facilities, outdoor playground, dog areas. There is Tsawwassen Quay Marketplace which has a fairly wide selection of food options and shopping opportunities while you wait for your ferry.
Really helpful staff, nice 'market' area for food and drink. First time on BC Ferries.enjoyed experience. And prices are cheap compared to other ferry companies
Ferry was on time coming back tomorrow the island. There are a number of stores and food vendors on site where you can arrive hungry and get something decent to eat. It is an extension of the BC highway system so although I give a good review, I use the ferry because I have to.
Always booked a reservations ahead for your ferry tickets. And when you do, please come at least an hour. This terminal can be busy especially in the summer time.
It is cruel and inhumane to make a person wait for seven hours to board a ferry, because they do not have a reservation. Priority is given to BC Ferries trucks that move cargo, this terminal looks more like a cargo terminal than a terminal for people
It was my first time on a Ferry. I had no idea about the terms of online foot passenger tickets. I missed the first Ferry and I assumed I should purchase another one since I could not cancel or re-schedule the first one. I wish the agent at Ferry Terminal would tell me so that I could still use the first ticket reference number to take the next Ferry available and had time to cancel and refund the second one. Besides, I wish they would clean the area better. The windows are dirty.
Drive like an F1 driver through the streets and freeways of the lower mainland. Brave the traffic and you will arrive here. Get here at least an hour before sailing, or you'll be hoooed. By your snacks somewhere else, or pay for the $5 pop. Otherwise beautiful location.
Can someone please explain to me why I have to pay for a whole extra day for a couple extra hours? I arrive at 2: 30 on a friday and long term park till 5: 30pm Sunday and have to pay for a whole day until Monday at 2: 30pm. Theft.
A must experience, beautiful ferry ride, buffet is pretty good food, go to Victoria and Nanaimo, visit Mystic beach, Sooke potholes, Parksville, Juan de fuca trail, some of the best spots also Tofino.
Amazing ferry’s! I have taken bc ferry’s my entire life, and the staff are always kind, the food is amazing, the view is incredible, great seating for the price tag, I have never had to wait over a hour at the terminal, and the gift shop provides very riveting selection, such as amulets, candy, hats/clothing wear, beautiful journal coverings, and overall great experience! If I could give this 10 stars, I would!
Its good and handy way to travel around is bc ferries and its economic in prices. Thier is parking and bus connections too. Washrooms, lounge areas and food areas.
An efficient ferry terminal. Easy to get to via the 620 bus from Bridgeport Sky Train station - a 35-minute journey. Self-serve ticket machines were available as were two customer service representatives.
Lots of parking available in this parking lot! It definitely can be a bit on the expensive side, but it is so close to the departure and arrival building. It's easy to buy a parking ticket and head on your way. Nothing bad to say!
