T&T Supermarket

Ordering a cake is a full on adventure! I’ve came twice in 2 days without being able to find someone to help out. I guess a different bakery will get my $$$

The hot food counter was gross. The S&S pork was super crazy sweet and the porkfried rice may have been yesterday's. I am never eating selfserve again.

Check your receipt before you leave to verify you are not being overcharged on items! If you are, go to the front counter to get a refund. I have noticed it seems to be a problem with this location and I am not certain they correct the price even after I draw it to their attention. For example, if something is posted as 1.99/lb, you multiply that by 2.20 to get the price per kg. So on your receipts it should show as 4.38/kg. I noticed I was overcharged on mangos, rambutan, pandan glutinous dessert, cherry tomatoes etc. If it is a "Manager Special", check your receipts! It is most likely it is not programmed into their system. It is so common that I am starting to think it is part of their business process. They are hoping you don't check your receipts.

They have everything I wish I found this place sooner but now that Im here. Im so happy to say I go at least once a week

Cashier has become better than before, but we have to pay for parking. They don't reimburse full amount.

Favorite Asian supermarket. Plenty of food and yummy stuff.
Go by you will enjoy it if you like asian food.

I am very happy with this place having just about everything I would like to have as well as other things that I have never had a chance to view new things that I have never had before as well as being fresh and clean I would advise you to do your shopping here

This downtown T&T is closer to where I live, so I come here once or twice a week. This supermarket sells mostly Asian products. The quality and prices are good, but sometimes the origin of the produce is confusing. The cabbage has a sign that says "product of China, product of Canada". Last week, I bought a bag of cooked scallops and on the packaging, it said, Japanese scallops, but it also said harvested in Japan and processed in China, how is this possible? I was confused. Today, I bought two buns from the hot food section. It's still warm, but half of it was hard as a rock. I called them and they suggested that I steam it again, but I think the bun must have been there for a long time, so long that the bottom had dried out. One of the staff, Joanna, offered me a refund. I'm glad they turned the situation around. I will continue to shop here.

As a young female, i experienced hate, been gaslighted by a Chinese security man today. I feel so uncomfortable and unsafe to shop at this store! And i will never come again! The security guy is so not respectful to young female. I highly recommend people not to visit this store, and be careful if u shop alone!

This is the worst supermarket ever - it's totally dedicated to weird Chinese stuff and there is little or nothing for the western shopper - and there is also an all around bad feeling to the place.

As one of the supermarkets that has been tested during these trying times. We must applaud the freshness and quality of the produce imports.

I love T&T Supermarket my go too. Best seafood fresh clean vibrant veg. Pleasant staff very helpful. Tons of variety! I will always shop at a T&T. ️

T&T decided to close early and has stuck with these reduced hours coming out of the pandemic. It is no longer convenient when all of the other asian grocery store chains open later, more expensive than competitors for regular priced items, and does not take American Express. Would shop here again if these three items are remedied; Hoping this review will start some changes.

Fresh vegetables and food items. I come here for the convenience. There are certainly other stores in this area that offer cheaper prices but if you're looking for a one-stop-shop grocery shopping experience for Asian food items, this is it.

For all of your Asian cuisine needs this place has everything. The hot and ready foods section is smaller than other locations.

This was my first time shopping at this location and WOW did they leave such a horrible impression. Today a gentleman who was obviously under the influence, tried leaving with groceries with out paying. One employee was trying to stop him from leaving while the other one from behind him was pushing him and hitting him with objects. At this point the gentleman was yelling and in a aggressive state. As a person who works with the vulnerable population how this was handled was unethical. Not only was it wrong but it also put staff and customers in a unsafe situation that someone could’ve been hurt. Instead of de-escalating the situation and calling the cops the employee (Sunny) decided to continue to push and hit him with a shopping basket while one is trying to stop him. I intervened and asked the employee Sunny to stop because he was just making matters worse. Not only did they not listen but the gentleman at this point got aggressive that he was willing to hurt an employee/customer. This location needs some serious training on how to de-escalate and approach these kind of situation because it was a total mess that someone could’ve been hurt. What the gentleman did was obviously not correct but a couple groceries is not worth someone getting hurt.

Underground parking with many other shops nearby. Busy store with lots inside. I shop here last on my places to visit.

Today I bought some steamed chicken buns.
Theses are bad, looks like minced chicken ball inside ate 2 got a stomach pain that evening.

You know how I feel about T&T. I just wish there wasn't so many people like myself shopping for the best produce selections and Asian variety when I go during these covid times.

Large selection of Oriental cuisine and great frozen foods section. Best part are the aquariums with live lobster, king crabs, and electric eels.
I always over spend when there!

I love T&T supermarket. I usually come here for my cravings (Chinese foods). Sure enough, hungry with no cash on me, I decided to check out what they have in the deli section and saw the young lady making tianjian pancake. I decided to get one and it is yummy. $3.99 - can’t go wrong.

T&T Supermarket Chinatown.very clean and organized. The shelf stockers were hustling to keep displays full and orderly. Cashier and bagging assistant were very courteous and helpful.

This tnt is a little older than the rest, so its smaller, messier, and more crowded. But the manager (Renee) is a friend, and shes also a good manager, so I come to visit her often, and try and buy more from this tnt. 3 stars for this location, 4th star for my friend.

I was at TnT on Xmas Eve, and they were the only grocery store open late that night. Needless to say, it was paaacked!
That aside.shopping for a western style turkey dinner at an Asian grocer was.challenging. To say the least.
My fault for hard core Xmas procrastination!
Anyway.
Only one of the many (prob about 6) staff that I approached for help spoke English.well, not to any service oriented capacity. That fact, alongside the last minute Xmas madness was extremely frustrating! I eventually did find most of what I was looking for.after numerous circuits around the store. That said. The prices for most items seemed quite reasonable, including the produce, which was fresh. I believe T&T is owned by Safeway, but the stock is predominantly Asian. I was unfamiliar with a lot of the products, and most of the labels were not in English or French, so I often had no idea what they were, nor how to use them.
I would probably return to TnT, preferably with a friend who is more familiar with the merchandise.

Can't really find a real complaint about this place. It can get a little crazy busy but you can't fault a large grocery store downtown for that. The selection is huge and it's reasonably priced- more expensive than little mom and pop store in China town but less expensive and larger selection than any major Canadian chain (e.g. Save On). What brings this from a 4 to a 5 is the to-go section where you can get some seriously good deals. $3.00 for 2 BBQ pork buns? Come onnnnn thats excellent value

Lotsa Korean choices.it's busy, not typically Canadian.fun place to check out.buy kimchi.aLLKinda hot sauces, noodles.dried mushrooms looked really good!

Good selection of Asian and South East Asian ingredients, best of all, their live fish aquarium gives a good selection at reasonable prices

Nice big grocery store for some chinese ingredients. I have found some other T&T franchises have more variety.but all in all, good price and lots of snacks

Excellent seafood and produce department. Like all t&ts, this place can be overwhelmingly busy at certain times. Would like to see some improvements in the deli; more frequent cleaning of utensils and bigger sneeze guard on the self serve hot food. Paper towels by the self serve seafood tank would be nice too.

I love shopping here, the fresh food, IS always fresh. The prices are fair. I do however wish they had signs that were easier to understand for the white folk around here. Great fresh BBQ pork and pork belly!

I visited their cooked food section.
Very very Thin plastic containers was placed on large area of hot heated plate top.of 300 degree.this will melted plastic, and will be stuck in our guts.as cancer.

I spoke to manager, today.she say she will change the food trays to aluminum.safer.no melting plastic in guts.she was nice

Always seems to be busy, overcrowded and disorganized. Amazing selection of products from around the world. Hot food to go and dim sum also available.

Great selection of Chinese products. Vegetable selection is always fresh. Had a better selection in the Chinese dim sum which made going there for a dim sum breakfast was a treat. They now package most items for take out instead of in store dining. Prices are comparative with competition. Street parking is sometimes difficult. Worth a visit.

I like this supermarket because it provides a lot of food that I could in other general supermarket. But, I found that the items T&T Supermarket in Marine Drive is much more various than T&T in Chinatown.

Watched a drunk/drugged out guy eat from the self-serve food with his bare hands. At one point he grabbed a drum stick, took a bite, and put it back. Security watched and did nothing. Can only imagine how often this happens given the area.

Great place for all Asian food and beauty supplies. If you're looking for something less common from a certain country though, you may have to go to a more specific market.

I just shopped at this store today and their seafood department manager gave me the worst customer service ever in this world. I tried to buy a discounted pancake (2 for $7), but they only had one left. Their seafood department manager told me that I could choose to buy one for $5 or not buy it. I explained to him that usually I've been allowed to buy the last one for the discounted price and he kept telling me not to buy it or buy it for $5 because they only had one in stock. Having lost my patience with him I told him that I wanted to talk to the customer service manager. Once we went to the customer service counter, the service staff told him to just give the customer the discount. This amazing seafood department manager just ran away without any explanation. I will never go to this location anymore.

Great variety of products, fresh seafood, but the workers are not too welcoming nor kind as in most of Canadian shops. (I know this is Asian, but as is installed in Canada, you expect the same welcoming smiles and costumer focus) I asked about the variety of cookies and a lady who works there just told me to read the labels, not a good answer for a confused costumer

As usual, great selection of asian food, plus access to Superstore brands. This store has improved significantly over the years, now cleaner, friendlier, and brighter.

Usually go there to pick up some ingredients when I am cooking Japanese. The non-asian foods are grossly over priced. Not a fan of as soon as you walk in the door on the left hand side there is the tanks with fish floating upside down? Have seen live frogs being sold there in the past. Along with fish heads. But as I always say the most delicious part is the eyes.

Extremely convenient Asian supermarket to address all of your grocery needs. I usually come here to grab some fresh seafood, snacks, fruits and vegetables since the price is not too expensive. They have a large variety of everything and they even offer baked buns and soup noodles if you’re looking for an inexpensive meal.for Employees are nice and helpful as well!
