The movers showed up exactly when they said they would. Polite and knowledgeable. Worked very hard, and carefully. Waited until the suite was completely empty and on the truck before they took a 1/2hr coffee break. Unloaded into the new place, and again, finished it all without slowing down. Terrific Move, and I thank you.

I seriously recommend you steer clear of this moving company. I booked a small (1 bedroom) move on September 1 2023 with two movers, and paid the mandatory deposit. Approximately one hour before they expected to arrive, they tried to CANCEL the move. The reason? Well the gentleman on the phone called me to let me know that they had a 3 man crew they were sending, rather than the two, with a significantly higher cost. I asked if we could just stay with the 2 man crew that I had originally booked and paid the deposit for, because it was a very small move and I only had a few items. The man on the phone replied “well then we are cancelling your move”. Of course this was enormously stressful, as legally I had to be out of my condo in 3 hours. It’s both disrespectful and degrading for a company to take advantage of their customers in this way.
I did notify their team of my experience on September 2nd via their automated customer follow up survey. I only received an automated reply saying that their team would reach out within two business days. However, I never got a response from them. To be honest, I am not surprised because my impression of this moving company is that they lack compassion and do not value their customers. Choose any other company, you do not need the additional stress and panic when you are moving.

Good experience overall. Two young men provided were on time, professional, and got the job done quickly. Can't ask for more than this. Will use Two Small Men again in the future.

Update: they sent an email after they saw my review and I went into more detail about my disappointing experience. No response. Please save yourself the hassle
I was disappointed with the attitude of one of the movers. I submitted an estimate and spoke to 2 people on 2 occasions to give them an idea of the volume of things in my apartment prior to them coming to pack and move. On the day of the move one of the guys complained there is a lot of stuff for a one bedroom apartment. He also complained about this to the building manager behind my back. I found these comments very unprofessional and rude. A one bedroom apartment and 3 guys took more than 6 hours (packing and loading only) They also dented the wall in my apartment and damaged a plant they just left on the floor and people were stepping on it. As I’m unpacking I’m finding broken glasses in the boxes and live plants wrapped and sealed in a box! Move with packing for 1 br cost 3k and they have the nerve to ask for a tip on their machine. Unprofessional and inefficient.

We used Two Small Men with Big Hearts for a move across BC in the winter months. We couldn't be happier with everything they did for us. The team worked in a professional manner taking care with our belongings and the properties, and the price for their service was very reasonable. They took a huge load of worry away from a stressful time of moving. We highly recommend them to anyone!

My two small men were very friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions. One had advice about antique furniture. I moved out of a townhouse with lots of stairs, and they worked very hard! Thanks!

So far, the worst mover we have ever used. And we have moved a lot.
Hired them on the recommendation of Big Steel Box. They were hired to pack our place, and load the contents into BSB containers. They quoted higher than a couple of other movers, but sold us on the professionalism of their packers and moving crews.
First: they present as a local mover, with a North Van number, but they send their trucks from Richmond, so you pay for their drive time. That added around $500 right off the top.
3 guys came to pack. Only 1 had any idea of how to pack, and 1 was clearly on his first pack ever. He had no clue. They packed multiple boxes with glass and fragile items just loosely packed without any paper/padding at all. I only caught that when I heard a box go clinking and clacking down the stairs and asked him to open the box. Everything was just rolling around, and it was mostly glass/ceramic stuff. A number of boxes had to be pulled from the container and repacked (which they charged for). Unfortunately we didn't find all of them.
They packed the first container so badly that the one guy had to spend nearly an hour removing the contents and then repacking it (which they charged for). They still managed to pack a lot of items in loosely and without any padding, or thought to surfaces. Metal on wood, metal stools on top of a freezer, fragile stuff wedged into spaces and getting crushed/scratched/dented.
Over $3-4K worth of things damaged or broken when the containers were unloaded (we hired a better mover for that - Edgemont Moving was vastly better, and cheaper). We found picture frames jammed together with nothing between them so frames were scratched, glass broken etc. Overall compensation? $170.00.
Cannot recommend them little enough, especially if you are using a container or other storage. They clearly do not care if they aren't driving it and unloading themselves right away, because there is no accountability then. All told they cost us about $4500 for the packing, and did little but waste money and cause damage. Go elsewhere.

Our movers, Robert and Sajan, were awesome! Friendly, courteous, careful and timely. Got our move done efficiently and therefore, more cost effective. Great experience!

Two Small Men sent a large truck to move the contents of two storage lockers. We estimated that this would take about 8 hours to pack, travel and re-pack on the other end. It took just over 5 hours - including the travel time! The crew of 3 men were so amazing! Friendly, professional, quick and very helpful. Thank you, I am very happy and I will recommend this removal firm and will NEVER use anyone else!

We recently had a very challenging move during a snow storm, moving from the interior of BC to the coast. These guys were so professional and helpful and made it work through the harrowing snow blizzard! I could not be happier with this service and would definitely recommend this company for your moving experience!
