Tyler's No Frills

Extremely disappointing customer service! I just asked the lady about some product but she rudely refused to help. I would recommend to never ask them for help as they are mostly very rude and will make you feel awkward!

I have shopped here a lot they carry a section of Halal meat, considering the size of the Muslim population Tyler's NOFRILLS is generous.

I like the selection and price i tend to get snacks veg and dry goods breads sometimes not a bad atmosphere

Bought 7 bags of buns that were on discount, tossed them in the freeze at home. Left one bag out to eat on Christmas eve. Ate a few buns and became sick for Christmas as they were moldy. I started defrosting bags of buns to find they are all moldy. Tried to return them and they told me "final sale". Sure and final time I'll be shopping here. I'll spend thousands on groceries somewhere else now.

Man I love a deal and the no name brand saves me money. The quality is good enough for me and my family and at a better price than MOST ALL GROCERY STORES on the island. The staff work hard in there to keep the shelves looking good Thank you Tyler’s No Frills

Taylor the pharmacist saved our vacation. I was out of one of my meds and was going to have to cut out vacation and head back to the states. Even Walmart who originally filled the prescription in Colorado would not fill it. Taylor said as long as I had the bottle and it wasn't a narcotic type he would fill it. Thank you. Now I can relax and spend more time on the island. Thank you so much. Wish you had stores in the states!

Good prices. The last time I was there, the cashier overcharged me. Can't even get through to the store as their call center is somewhere else, and store was closed by the time I noticed.

Bought a 3lb bag of mixed potatoes.
Some were rotten same day we bought them.
Waited until my next shop there to let them know.
Showed them my debit record.
Then got treated like I was scamming them.
Complete opposite of the service I receive at other stores in town.
No frills, includes bad customer service!

The owner of this store started out stocking these very shelves. Down to earth and hands on. The experiences of shopping here have crossed cities. I have been told great things about this store from people living over 200km away. If your tired of being disappointed at Walmart, level up to this No Frills.

Great prices. Wide selection. And seemingly more organized now we're winding down from covid.

Prices and selection are decent. Liked it way better when they had the single check out line cue though. Back to long lines and limited check outs open. Try to avoid when possible during peak hours.

Prices are good but lineups are quite the wait most days.

Was in line for 15 minutes one time, they need a better set up and faster cashiers

I am happy with just about everything in this store other than meat quality and vegetable freshness. I find that the meat is usually close to expiration and the vegetables start to rot almost as soon as I get them home. I buy most of my food from here as the prices and selections are fairly good but I find I go elsewhere now looking for fresher meat and vegetables. Overall easy to get in and out of, good selection, fast and friendly.

Very competitive pricing and absolutely no frills. The store is very well laid out and the staff is always there to help.

Lots of parking. Lots of deals by the back of the store. Would to get through the line up a bit faster thought.

Only place we shop at in town. Great prices, could have a bigger meat selection but still give 100%

They have a lot of great stuff and good deals, their system for checking out is much better now as well

Some of the best prices around. The only place that I can afford fish or ice cream for example.

Not the best veggie quality, but pretty great prices for a lot of things. Seems to sit between Walmart and Superstore price wise. Used milk, shreddies, bananas, a random brand of chips, a few random soups to test. Superstore Nanaimo, Walmart Port Alberni. Did not try meat. Will look at buy low next time and see how it compares.

Found some keto products I haven't seen before anywhere else. There were also a nice variety of products, different things that you don't see at other stores. Prices reasonable but not the cheapest.

My priority list of sh centers in Port Alberni:

1) Healthy Habbits
Simply for holding high ethical products.maybe look more expensive, but if we only compare with price, we going to loose food culture

2-3) No Frills /Super Store
Walmart
Just allowing discounted stuff for people and not only giving away to farms

Also Walmart suprised me having clean ziplock bags, tins recycling at exit

4-5-6-7) Drug Mart (has food) Save on Food, Quality Food, Buy Low

These under deliver their names just even for simply freshness policy not allowing to people to get discounted stuff or very rarely to compare with other 2 winners

This is a good place to shop, clean and well stocked. We come from a rural area for supplies and so far, have noticed good covid protocols in place, competitive rates and a parking lot that doesn't make entry or exit a drama (unlike some places). There are only 5 checkouts, and we have only seen 4 active with people lined up. 40 minute wait each time. But reality, when there are no quick dashes to the store anymore, this is a good place to shop and do it in one stop. We can see why there's a wait- its all carts, no baskets in line.

Great and caring staff, everyone is knowledgeable of all their products and they have great covid protocols in place.

This is the best grocery store in Port Alberni to buy fresh fruits and vegetables at the cheapest rates. There is a good choice of bread, cookies, and bakery products, as well milk and dairy. There is less availability of household cleaning and maintenance products and clothing and accessories and we had to visit the Walmart Supercentre next door for it. The parking lot is common for both the stores as both are located within the Pacific Rim Shopping Centre. Shopping carts at No Frills have to be unlocked by depositing a dollar in the slot so that you remember to return the cart instead of leaving it in the parking lot.

Great prices, shopping money goes further, pretty good selection of organics, although they didn't have the laundry soap I like. I even got a chance to take my blood pressure, it's good! Friendly folks at the check out.

Great Prices, Wide aisles, Clean and Friendly staff. I always shop here for our big grocery shops.

I only go here because I'm driving my Mom. I would rather pay a little bit extra down the hill at Buy Low's for the friendly service & not having to bag my own groceries in a poorly designed grocery store

Best store in port alberni best pricing and sales almost everyday all they need is a deli and it would be the only store I go to

This is a great stores to grab some food on your way up to Tofino or you kill it or even if you're staying in Port Alberni. The prices are very good in fact I'd say they are cheaper than Walmart.

Great grocery store. Good selection of fresh produce at great prices. This location has their own Facebook page and they post regularly about sales and such.

Coming up 15 years at No Frills. Best place in town for wonderful food and exceptional optimum points that have turned into hundreds of $$$$ for our family’s food. Thank you.

Has everything you need for great prices I love it the only thing I didn't like is that the teller wasn't answering all of my questions and left me clueless about certain things I asked about.
