UBC Botanical Garden

It is absolutely beautiful. I would certainly buy a membership to be able to appreciate the space regularly. However, I wouldn't because they have pay parking. Why?

I love the Apple Festival so much! I love the garden and especially the giant leaf pile for the kiddos!

Beautiful garden with thousand different species of green plants. Also, complete astounding tree walk on the height of 65 feet above the ground.

Awesome experience, kind of a mini trail with family. The tree walk is the main attraction.

This was such a hidden gem! It was pretty quiet even on a Sunday afternoon. I’m so glad I decided to come because it felt very peaceful. I wish it wasn’t so close to the highway, but the trees were so beautiful. You can take your time and walk around for 2+ hours here. The trails are well kept. I highly recommend doing the tree walk! It felt magical to walk with the trees, especially when it wasn’t too busy. The guy who runs the walk is really friendly too. He can tell you all about the forest!

There is also a special deal if you want to visit this garden and the Japanese garden. Ask the front desk people about combining the tickets.

Small fee to enter, little more extra to do the tree walk. Was well worth the experience. Bring your hiking shoes because it’s a bit to walk!

I am not much of a garden person nor do I have much knowledge of plants but it is a beautiful walk and the Treewalk was really fun! If you are a plant person then you will probably have much more appreciation for the gardens. There are plaques throughout that explain what is planted. I enjoyed the gardens on the other side of the tunnel, they gardens are set up in an artistic way and it’s very beautiful.

The gardens are fairly inexpensive attraction to enjoy and is in the heart of UBC which is beautiful in and of itself.

Very nice garden. They have many different plants. It takes a while to get here with local transport but it's worth it. They also had a treewalk, it was very fun. Don't come hungry, because it's quite far to a restaurant

Hard to review nature but in terms of getting what you pay for this was a serious let down. You can see the same things in Stanley Park, for free.

Amazing place. Huge area to discover with a large variety of horticulture. The staff were both friendly and helpful. A world class botanical garden.

It took quite a few conversations and a 2nd visit to get a refund on a damaged in the store item. Refunds to the card should be pretty straightforward and shouldn't be tied to store credit. Multiple store employees didn't know how to process a credit card refund when the manager was away. Not a good experience, don't think we will be back.

Kind of a good place to go but it's like a trail and you need to purchase a extra ticket to climb the tree bridge or whatever they call, so basically you paying for entry and that stupid tree climbing whatever it doesn't make any sense, other side of the park is okay but they giveaway that place for private weddings party and what not, and they still need money from the tax payers, it's very confusing, I think the ienstien die out of their sins. Enough.

The garden overall is pleasant. I highly recommend doing the treewalk, only $9 for ubc students.

The wedding venue was nice enough. Caterer on August 26th 2023 ran out of food and was unable to serve all the guests

Incredible how much diversity of plant life is here to see. The tree walk was really cool, maybe a little scary for those afraid of heights:)

Beautiful garden for nature lovers. Better to reach early as it gets closed by 4.30 p.m.

It takes atleast 3-4 hours to cover and enjoy the stroll.

I thoroughly enjoyed the exciting tree walk. It was thrilling and fun.

Impressive gardens, with flowers that bloom later in the season (for all those flower lovers out there!). You could easily spend the entire day here since there is so much to see, but give yourself at least 2-3 hours. The Tree Walk is a must-see.

Don’t miss the free group tour provided by the museum. The staff will tell all the fun stories about the museum and wildlife. I highly recommend.

Lastly, don’t forget to watch the documentary about bringing the blue whale skeleton inside the museum. Surely you will appreciate this place more!
