Worst salon! Gets charged about $450 for just bleaching my hair and not giving me the colour that i want. I paid less than half of this price to some other salon go get my hair redone and i loved it now. Dont ever go here.

I was recommended Gurjit by a colleague as I was admiring her new cut! I was obsessed with my colleagues new hair cut and messaged Gurjit who was incredibly kind and got back to me straight away! She had availability the same day I messaged and without reading any reviews I went and got my hair washed and styled by her and Im so glad I did!
Finding someone who listens to what the customer wants and then works with her has been hard to come by over the years! Gurjit is that person. She did an absolutely amazing job and 3 weeks later I'm still getting complimented on my hair! The sweetest person and my now- all time fav hairdresser!

I started going to Gigi about 2 years ago or so. One of the best decisions I made! She will give u honest advice and isn’t a money grab. If she feels like something is realistic or not she will voice her opinion and give u the steps to best achieve the look you’re going for. My hair was super damaged and I was struggling to grow it as well. Today my hair is looking the best it’s ever been. Thanks to Gigi. My forever hair guru!

Gigi is someone who is truly passionate about the people she works with and the knowledge she brings to the table when someone asks her to help with the look they want her to create. She’s honest and will sit you down and give a proper rundown on how the whole process will go and you can tell she knows her way around colouring hair. She’s sweet and kind and a lot of people I know have gone to her and have loved their experience with her. Overall there isn’t anyone else I would want doing my hair but her!

I’ve been to this salon many times and my stylist is Gigi! This girl literally has magic in her hands! She has never once disappointed me. Every-time i’m in her chair i feel like i’m with one of my best friends. She is such a welcoming person and is so sweet with the best personality. I’m a shy person but i clicked right away with her! She always has me leaving the salon feeling like a brand new person and makes me feel so good about myself! Anytime i have questions about anything like what products to use how to use them gigi answers my questions and any doubts i have perfectly! She is one of the most hard working stylists i’ve ever met and she does her job perfectly! Gigi never fails to put a smile on my face ever! Shes also very creative with her content on her instagram she posts reels, guessing games where you can guess something and sometimes win a prize! She also posts the before’s and after’s of her clients hair and she gives tips and advice on different hair types, how to take care of your hair! She’s a very caring person with the biggest heart ️

I have been trying to find a new stylist for my hair since moving to BC a few years ago, I wasn't really able to find someone that was just right for me until someone recommended Gurjit at Ultimate. I had my first appointment with her today and I was so happy with the experience; from the actual service down to the way to welcomed me and made connections. Will definitely be going back!

Gigi SAVED my hair! Had a bad hair service done months prior which left my hair with terrible bands and she was able to remove most of them and give me the exact hair I pictured! She gave me so much reassurance and guidance on what was best for my hair, definitely one of the best young stylists Ive ever met:)

I’ve gotten a balayage and haircut done from Gigi. Both times she was awesome! She listens to exactly what you want and knows what will suite your style. 6 months later and my balayage still looks nice. I would recommend her for anyone!

Misquoted price, cheap quality extensions, braids started coming off within an hour, total service charge $451 for this look. I am extremely disappointed by the owner who gave misinformation. The staff is really good but this time owner conned me. Set me up on cheap extensions and made me pay $451 for this kind of service.

I've been getting my hair done by Gigi since earlier this year and its been the best decision! I initially came in for a colour correction and she did just that, correct my hair! I always leave her chair feeling confident! I just love how she gets what my hair needs and she's honest about it. She's gentle with my hair and I love how she gives me advice and guidance on how to maintain my hair health. I want to emphasize that she is all about getting the look WHILE STILL MAINTAINING STRENGTH AND HEALTH OF YOUR HAIR! When she recommends a product, she justifies why and educates me on how the product works which gives me further faith her recommendations. My stylist Gigi is just the sweetest person in the world! I have gone through many hair colour journey’s with her and never once has my hair been fried or ruined. My hair always feels so smooth and fresh. Gigi is always gentle and makes sure her clients are comfortable in her chair. It’s her NUMBER ONE priority!:)

whenever I’m in her chair she constantly asks if the water temperature is good, or if the the blow dryer is too close, etc. I’ve never once had to tell her that something she’s doing it hurting me. I’m sure if someone ever did have to, she always accommodates because she’s so professional and understanding.

The hair wash is the absolute BEST! Totally recommend to just go in for a wash, blow dry, and style. The head massage she gives during the wash is a PLUS! ️

Gigi is also so thorough in explaining everything I need to do to keep my hair healthy. As someone that know very little about hair, Gigi has made sure to educate me about my hair. I don’t go in for months at some points and my hair still looks great!

100% recommend Gigi and the salon. Especially if this is your first time getting your hair done, Gigi is the stylist to go to!

Would not recommend anyone to get their hair colour from Gigi. My review is towards the hair stylist, not the business. Overall experience with Gigi was horrible. I went in for a blonde balayage and my current hair at that time was a brown balayage on long thick hair.

At first, I thought what was weird and unprofessional that she requestted $100 deposit from me and $50 deposit from my friend.
Secondly, she was combing out the hair that she had teased and was literally tugging and ripping my hair out. It was absolutely painful and I did address this to her but she said that's how she combs it out and continued to rip my hair out.
Thirdly, when she was drying my hair with blow dryer, she burnt my scalp with the heat. She had the dryer very close to my scalp in one spot. Again, I had told her about this and no apology, no answer and continue to burn my scalp. The next day, my scalp was very tender and red.
Also, she had recommended that I should not wash my hair for at least 3-5 days for the toner to completing penetrate into the hair (as she stated). I washed my hair after 4 days later, and the toner had completing washed off. The colour of my hair was a bright yellow, as if my hair was just bleached without any toner colour. This was after my first wash. Once again, this was addressed to her and she did not take any account for it. Instead, she said that she will charge an additional $50 for her to redo the toner and time she will waste.
On top of that, my hair had became so dead and dry with strips of orange tones. The crown area of my head had so much breakage from her tugging on my hair. I cannot put any heat on my hair without it frying off. I went to a different hair stylist weeks later and they said my hair was over processed. And that the only solution is to cut or grow out the processed hair before I put anything in my hair. I regret getting my hair done from Gigi as I had to immediately had to cut 6 inches off because of how damaged my hair was.

Just save your money, time and hair and go to a professional who cares about their clients!
