One of my favourite sushi places in Kelowna, affordable consistent and quick and friendly service. A regular takeout orderer at this place!

I’ve heard great things about Ume, and they were true!
Great sushi, super reasonable prices and very well-behaved staff.
I got the smoky crunch roll which was great!
I asked for steamed vegetables for my baby, and they accommodated us with some steamed yum in baby dishes, at no charge
Will try them more often!

Every customer in the restaurant were giving dirty looks and waiter accidentally spilt water all over one of us. Definitely better food places in Kelowna.

Reviews of Ume got us excited to try a new spot for take out, unfortunately it was more miss than hit.
The tempura didn’t travel well and showed up soggy. This may have been an issue with their packaging decision so we were willing to look past that. The yam rolls were decent, but also missing a crunch.
The tuna sashimi was fantastic, and yet, somehow, the spicy tuna rolls tasted extremely fishy, possibly even off? I’m not sure how two items from the same animal can arrive to the table in polar opposite qualities, but here we are. Saving the worst for last - the bc roll. The salmon was well done, and beyond chewy.
I feel like 2 stars may have been generous from this experience considering 1/3 of the items ordered were inedible. Maybe just a bad night in their kitchen but there’s certainly much better sushi options in the Okanagan.
