Umi Sushi Express

If I could, I would give this a zero.
After purchasing two sub par cold & old rolls for over $15 with a small tip I asked if I could get a small cup of water to go with them (I prefer tap & would have happily paid for the cup). The lady behind the counter replied that their taps don’t work, and they have NO WATER, lol instead of being kind she lied and claimed they are violating a basic health code. Such a shame that the service & food were equally disappointing.

Terrible sushi
Okay atmosphere and such, but that doesn't matter much when the sushi is this bad.

The sushi is very average one above Superstore sushi, with above average prices. The front staff were very pleasant. There are a few GF options.

The Raman seafood noodle I had was amazing. It is the right balance of coconut, spice, and seafood, with veggies. It is lucky to find this hidden gem here.

I originally posted this review on the wrong branch of this chain and i apologise for that, but my review of this place will remain the same.

Ordered ramen here, they forgot about my order then when it was done it sat on the window cell for 8 minutes while 15 people that ordered after me got their orders. The taste was very sub par and they did not apologize for the mistake or wait

HORRIBLE SERVICE AND HORRIBLE FOOD!

Not only are the cashier women at the front horribly rude, miserable and disorganized but the food is also horrible. Felt so sick from a california roll i ended up throwing the whole box out because it tasted rotten. I had asked if i could pay the difference to get a different roll in one of the boxes and they told me that was impossible. Very rude place, i know its in a convenient spot but save your time, money and sanity. VERY RUDE HUMANS HERE

Ordered Salmon Sashimi and they charged me by per piece ordered! Received frozen salmon sashimi instead!

On a separate day, I ordered miso soup and after I paid and went out of the line, they told me that they don’t have any miso soup.i had to wait in the line to get a refund.ended up not waiting.

Since the renovation they are disorganized. The cashier is distracted all the time, she first off set my order to "eat in" when I specified "take out" then when I get my order, they forgot to put in the meat so I had to go back.
They fixed it pretty quick though and the taste wasn't bad either, seems like most of their warm food was precooked but I hope they start freshly cooking again soon like before. I'd give them a few days to get a system sorted out.

The "yam fries" were just tempura yams cut into fry shape and some of them weren't even cooked fully. The rice was basically hard and inedible.

Bad quality. All the fish in the rolls is minced and barely visible. They cheap out on everything and charge premium.

Gross. Overpriced. Poorly made. There are a million other sushi places to go to nearby with better quality and lower prices. Don't waste your time at this place.

I'm working near this food court for over 3 years and I've seen not many people ordering soup udon here.
Ordered a vege udon (I don't know why I did this, regreted right after) and the soup color looked not like a regular udon I order at other place.

When I opened and tasted it, it tasted like smelly miso soup. Even I found "a single corn piece" and "one short yaki udon noodle" that doesn't seem like they don't belong to this food.

I don't understand why they are still doing their business for so long time with awful food quality with over priced. Many exhibitors and visitors at the convention centre visits this food court.

I hope they are managing their food and kitchen area clean and read all these reviews.
