I have been a patient of Dr. Barone’s since 2015 due to car accidents. He helped me a lot and eventually I was able to return back to Kickboxing, Jiujitsu and Mixed Martial Arts. My back and neck issues re-surfaced due to the inability to work out because of the gyms being shut down twice during to the pandemic. As a result, I am back and have felt much improvement in my neck and my migraines are disappearing. He was able to show me the misalignment and where the problem areas are. Great treatment and care experience from Dr. Barone and his staff! Dr. Barone has been instrumental in helping and constantly improving a few issues, like head and neck pain, as well as sports-related injuries. Brisa is very flexible with cancelling/booking appointments, so it makes the life easier.

I've been to a number of chiropractors in the past 30 years. Two were exceptional, Gary, and my original chiropractor Les Shaw in Calgary who originally fixed me up. I was very lucky that I found Gary when I moved to Port Moody in 2004, and he has been keeping my spine in top form ever since.

I am pregnant and I was having a hard time with back and hip pain, even walking or standing was getting hard. I have been working with Dr Gary Barone half of my pregnancy now and it has been very helpful; I have definitely improved my life quality going pain free and my posture is getting so much better even I am pregnant. I am so thankful. Every pregnant woman near the area should visit this place.

Ok, it is my turn to say Thank You to Dr. Gary Barone. For the last 7 years I had suffered from a terrible back pain due to two hard pregnancies and eventually c-sections. The pain was unbearable and brought my state to intrusive thoughts of hurting myself, I could not dance anymore (I am dancer), I only could play with kids while lying down on the floor, I didn’t have an appetite anymore, long story short: it was bad.
One day my Acupuncture therapist advised me to try chiropractor and this is how I got to Una Vita.

Dr. Barone used some complicated technology to examine my back (I loved that part lol) and he explained in detail what was off and what could be done about it, we set a plan that was tailored to my back needs.

After the first treatment I was flying, seriously: only at 4pm I noticed that I am smiling and I am sitting and playing with my kid and not lying, not counting minutes for the day to end (people that are in pain will understand me here). After each treatment/adjustment I felt much better. After one month I was back to dancing and had a courage to participate in a festival competition. My intrusive thoughts never came back to me. I guess I was lucky that my body responded that fast to the treatment, I also *did my best* to follow the plan and eat healthy and do the homework stretches.

I have to say, at the beginning of a treatment I was a bit worried about the adjustments, but Dr. Barone was very gentle, always notified me before each adjustment as per my request, and the ambiance with the « relax me yoga music » did the job, so I got used to this therapy in no time.

Today, my whole family is going to Dr Barone, I treat my mom-in-law too at Una Vita and will trust my kids only to Dr Barone. The staff is amazing, Brisa always found the time slots that worked best for me to accommodate my family schedule.

Dr. Barone has been my chiropractor for over four years and during that time my back, neck, shoulder and TMJ pain have steadily decreased. Service is friendly and professional. All staff are on the ball here. In addition top Chiropractic services, one can also obtain nutritional supplements and orthotics. I had never been to a chiropractor before visiting Gary and I have been absolutely thrilled with the quality of care. The holistic approach to wellness is refreshing and balanced using qualitative and quantitative data to craft a corresponding adjustment care plan.

I experienced some symptom relief after two weeks of treatment after trying a month of physiotherapy that excaccerbated issues to the point of constant, debilitating pain.

Dr. Barone has been working on him through weekly sessions. We can’t believe how well treatment has gone. We love that we can easily book appointments online along with simple billing and email receipts! I'm not the best review writer. I read through some to see what other people are saying because I thought it might help get me started. Oh Yeah, it did. Please bear with any errors in terminology.
First. I'm sorry to see that some people think the assessment "gadgets" and video are pretentious and a waste of time. Knowledge is power and people should know and understand what their baseline is when they start treatment. It's like going to the gym. If you walk in overweight and out of shape but go consistently over a period of time you're naturally going to see improvement because you'll have lost weight, built strength and toned your body.
Chiropractic care wouldn't necessarily translate visually in the same way, but internally when everything is in tune your body will function better resulting in overall improved health.
Sometimes a person's body can go through a healing crisis and you could actually feel worse before you feel better, so stopping treatments is probably the dumbest thing anyone can do.
Over the time period I've been going to Dr. Barone I've seen steady improvement. The print out from the assessment gadget actually gives me a visual of what is changing and improving.
I've had chronic issues as a result of accidents that happened many years ago and I know that these things are not going to get fixed overnight.
Dr. Barone always asks me if any new issues and addresses any changes right away. As an example today my hip was sore and I walked out of there feeling better.
I trust Dr. Barone and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

First, you need to book for first two session just for an assesment. The first session, you need to watch 10 min power point video that he made in a room by yourself and then an assistant will put all these gadjets to scan for an accurate examination. I've been to other experienced chiropractors who could find these out without a machine on the spot.
Second visit will be 20 min of another power point presentation video by him. After that, you'll need to read out loud the list of things that were introduced in the video with him and answer them as he quizzes you. I have asked if I could watch those videos at home and he insisted that it was better for me to watch it to save time in the long run. To be honest, contents were for Grade 10 science class. No joke.
Everything in this clinic is super pretentious. Even a simple survey sheet is in full color print that is handed to you in a file folder with a brochure. Even after all of this, I didn't bother to write a review as I don't have time
and energy for it and even though the whole experience was a gongshow, I can understand that some people who have nothing to do could enjoy these wasteful sessions. It could be a personal preference and I just need to choose never to go back and that was end of it. The reason why I'm writing this is that the actual 3min treatment has ruined my daily life. I've been waking up in the middle of the night because of neckstrain +migrain that I've never felt before. DO NOT TRUST THESE 5 STAR REVIEWS. If you actually track back most of these ID's the only review they have left is for this clinic which seems to me is either a paid or friends/family review.

I’ve been going to Dr. Barone for a couple of years now. I was very skeptical at first and wasn’t even interested in going but I went with my partner one day, to see what getting adjusted was all about. Thought I would try it. Went quite often for just over a year and thought I might as well just stop going, I didn’t feel it making a difference. Guess what? After about 5-6 weeks of not going, I was having abdominal pains, my hands were going numb again, every night, and I had more headaches. Decided to go back and eat crow, and say I guess it must have been working afterall. From a very skeptical person, about pretty much everything, I have to say it works! I only go every three weeks to maintain, and that seems to work for me. Thanks for everything, Dr. Barone.

Take my review for what it's worth. I'm a gym monkey who's been lifting weights for the last 20 years and have completed 11 half marathons and countless 5/10/15km races. Over the years I've had numerous injuries including my shoulders, wrists, elbow, calf, back, neck and much more. I can depend on Gary to prep me for races or fix me when I'm broken lol (adjustments, art, stretching, etc). In all seriousness, I appreciate the work Gary does and the patience he has when I see him. Gary is easy going and knowledgeable. I have and will always recommend Gary to any of my family/friends. Thanks for fixing me! Before I forget, the staff are friendly and always put a smile on my face after a long day at work!

I visited Dr. Barone 5 weeks ago after injuring my back at work pretty bad. After my first adjustment it was instant relief and 5 weeks later i feel better than i have in years! I would recommend Dr. Barone to anyone in need of a quality, professional chiropractor that is attentive and thorough.

As a first timer to chiropractic services I didn't really know what to expect, but I was experiencing bad lower back and neck pain so my doctor advised me to go and see a chiropractor. I found Dr. Barone online and called to set up an appointment. From the first time I called and there on afterwards everything & everyone have been so organized, positive, & helpful, and best of all my mobility has increased and my pain has decreased drastically since coming for only a short period of time.
