Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! WOW, let me tell you I had they absolute best experience here! It was that time again for me to get my eyes checked and face an ugly reality.did my eyes get worse!? The answer to my surprise was acrually NO, they actually got better. I know what you're thinking how? Well it turns out I actually have been wearing the wrong perscription and my eyes had been over corrected! I was asked a set of questions do you feel off balance, get headaches, eye twitches etc. I said yes to them all. Long story short I got my proper lenses my vision is the most crisp and crystal clear it's been in 10 years! Ekkk I'm so happy thank you Universal Vision 10/10 I had so much fun with your team and picking out my frames!

I had a lovely initial experience on August 25th when Raj helped me select and purchase my first pair of glasses at this shop. However, when I arrived to pick them up today, on September 16th, that lady was not present. The woman who was was supposed to help me collect my order was the most unpleasant employee I've seen in an optometry. She did not ask me to sit at any of the vacant desks (even when two were free), but kept me standing at the front counter where customers were paying their bills, collecting refunds, and making eye appointments. She dismissively noted that I was wearing contacts, but did not ask me to take them out, as my optometry in my hometown would have done. My glasses were loose and they were crooked, something they were not in August. She had me waiting for a lengthy time, while people's elbows jostled me as they settled their bills at the front counter. I asked her why I wasn't seated at a desk like I had seen two customers do so while I was in the shop today. She shrugged her shoulders and said she's too busy. She was not. I was given the nicest attention when I made my purchase in August, but today, I was barely helped and sent out from the front door. I recall clearly that on August 25th, a customer came into this shop to collect her new glasses. She was given a seat by an employee and was allowed to try on her glasses until they were just right No such service was given to me today. Not only was this insulting, but frustrating, since I had made such an expensive purchase only three weeks earlier. My money and I were not valued here. I wish I had never set foot in such an unpleasant environment filled with such unpleasant employees as her. I will keep looking for an optometry that actually wants me as a customer. Now I'm stuck with a brand-new pair of eye glasses, that should they need any altering, I would have to enter a shop that I wasn't even welcome today. What I experienced today was full on discriminatory mistreatment.

Excellent service from all staff! They have very up to date technology and the optometrist was excellent. All the store staff were friendly and very helpful. Their prices were reasonable with price points for everyone’s budget. Highly recommend!

A bonus is they have both an Optician and Optometrist on site which makes it very convenient to get your eyes checked and pick out glasses all in one stop. All of the staff there is very friendly, knowledgable and always go above and beyond to ensure their customers get the best service. If you are looking for a new place to check out for sunglasses or glasses, this is the place to go. I just got new frames today. I called this morning and was able to get an appointment the same day. The examination was thorough and I was asked to see the results of the exam with explanation. That was nice and made me feel like I mattered. The staff was very helpful and patient as I selected my frames and I was able to get my new glasses EXTREMELY fast. All in all, I would recommend universal to anyone, and I will, and they have a customer for life.

I went to Universal Vision for and eye exam, and new glasses, and am very impressed with the service as soon as I walked in the door, from my greeting to eye exam to picking out my frames and lenses, they worked with me to keep within my budget, no pressure sales, it was my first time at Universal Vision, but, that will be my go to Optical from now on. We first went there in November 2017 for eye exams and new glasses; more than satisfied with them, we went again for the same services in November 2019. We just went again on Jan 21/21, once more for eye exams and new glasses. We have always found the staff to be welcoming, knowledgeable, and efficient, and their prices to be highly competitive.
This last time, we were particularly impressed with two people: The optometrist, Dr. Hardeep Bhangu, was polite, friendly, and witty, and seemed highly competent, Although we don't know her position title, Bita dealt with us to choose new frames and lenses and to handle all the administration; she is a charming young woman, pleasant, amusing, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient.
We would recommend Universal without reservation.

My family has been coming to this business since I was 16 (25 years). The service is great they have a great selection they always remember your name. Highly recommended I still drive out from Langley to this business since it’s well worth it!

Well, we went for our scheduled appointment on May 21, and I now can confirm that all I read about them is TRUE. For the very first time since he has had reading glasses made, my partner says that the reading glasses he got from Universal Vision Optical fit properly the first try. No adjustment needed. When we arrived at the store, we were attended by a very friendly lady by the name of Shahnaz. She was very helpful when it came to chose his frame and she worked with our budget. We felt no pressure whatsoever in choosing his frame and we were very satisfied with the outcome. There are lots of frames to choose from including some brand names.

After the experience my partner described to me, I decided to go back at Universal Vision in July to have my own reading glasses made. I have no doubt that I will be attended to in the same friendly and professional way he was.

Great customer service! I have a very strong prescription and the glasses I chose ended up being very thick even with thinning. The staff offered to remake the glasses on another frame that would ensure thinner looking lenses. The staff was very committed to making me happy. Glad to support a family business. Thanks again!

The service here is amazing. They seemed to genuinely care about your experience shopping with them, and the staff would go out of their way to help search for glasses that fit your ideas and specifications. They had very reasonable prices and surprisingly good selection. The optometrist was very upbeat and friendly, and he would take the time to explain things so that we understand. My girlfriend and I highly recommend Universal. We had looked everywhere else and couldn't find something suitable. We left universal with two very nice and unique pairs of glasses for my girlfriend, and I even found a pair that interested me for the future.

My husband and I went to Universal for the first time today, each of us looking for eye glasses. We were greeted as soon as we entered the shop and were informed of Covid-19 precautions making us feel very comfortable. The staff person that assisted us was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I come from a 12 hour drive away and came to Universal when I was in the Valley because of the legendary service I receive there. Not only did they remember my name after 5 years, they take the time to work with your budget, timeline, preferences, and personality. They will tell you which glasses work with your face and which don't. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Several months ago both my wife and I both needed glasses and we decided on going to Universal Vision Optical hearing others rave about them. From the moment we arrived we were treated excellent. The staff that work there spent a lot of time with us to find the best optical solutions for each of us. Great detail went into showing us what frames and lenses would best suit us. The finished glasses were excellent.

My teenage son told me about this hidden gem right across from Seven Oaks mall and McDonald’s. The staff that I dealt with were amazing, friendly, very helpful and always smiling. Sandy in particular stood out for me because she was very personable and friendly and very honest about how a pair of glasses looks on you. I would definitely go back here again and I highly recommend them. Their prices are great they billed directly to my insurance company. And my glasses were ready in three days.

Absolutely amazing service, I’ve gone through the twice for purchasing my glasses and just got another eye exam done. Can’t believe how accomodating, thorough and quick they were! Had absolutely impeccable service from Raymond today. My husband bought his glasses quite some time ago, they just never seemed right. We went in for quite a few fixes, adjustments and repairs. Yesterday the glasses failed again, the frame broke so we went in today for another fix. To our delight Raymond suggested another frame at no cost to us. He popped the lenses out of the old frames, put them in the new frame at absolutely no cost to us. Recently purchased new glasses from this location. The selection of eyewear is fantastic, the pricing selection is very reasonable, and the staff is excellent. The service is over the top. They are very accommodating and will ensure all of your needs are met. They take such great care when measuring your eyewear, that when you pick-up your new glasses they fit to perfection. Absolutely wonderful staff. Ray was courteous and knowledgeable and was able to fit me with the perfect prescription (with free sight testing). I didn't have insurance to offset the cost of my glasses, and they were able to secure with me my top choice of frame, a Tom Ford classic, lenses, and the best coating, at a wondferul price point. Within 24 hours, okay, 23, I had my new glasses in hand. They were also the quickest to get me into a booking. Definitely recommend Ray and the rest of the staff at Universal Vision Optical.

First of all, I initially liked this place when we walked in. It was small but selection of glasses and sunglasses was decent. I was greeted right away, and we were helped right away for my then 4 year old son's booked eye appointment. He was having his very first eye check-up. His old brother has glasses (sees a specialist), and I noticed the same slightly wandering eye in his eye like his brother had which prompted a first eye exam.
I give 3 stars because of that it because it was clean, my son had a pretty good experience and they were kind.
However, before the eye exam I was told my child's "MSP covered, once a year FREE EYE EXAM" would NOT be free at THIS location because they do a "more thorough check. " This right here should of been a red flag.
Any doctor or eye doctor I have spoken to about this afterward says that it is complete BS that they did this. I can't remember how much it was, I believe between $25-$50. Either way it was an unacceptable charge, and apparently unprofessional according to many. They didn't use any super advanced equipment that other eye care facilities don't have. They put a couple drops in his eyes to help them get a better look. (but yet didn't get a better look).
What a complete waste of time and money! * (we had to wait for the drops to work for 20min in store with my 3 children, unexpectedly) AND after the exam they said it was inconclusive, they weren't sure if he needed a presciption.most likely, but not positive, so they wanted me to come back next year and see if results changed.
UMMMMMM heck no I'm not paying for a child's FREE (covered by MSP) exam every year for you to do a more "thorough check" that isn't any more thorough than anywhere else.

Oh no! My frames broke right at the nose when cleaning the lenses. This happened once before with these same frames. It's time to find a new provider.one I have biked past several times and admired their signage. Universal was my saviour during a week where I had many health challenges. By end of day they had my not so old lenses in a new frame saving me a considerable amount of money. They have also provided excellent friendly follow up service and continue to do so. From now on Universal will also be my go to place for all things related to eye glasses.

This is a great business. Friendly staff and great service. Had some scratches on my lens, called in and was told I had a two year warranty on them but they would have to look at them. Brought them in, they looked them over and said we will have new lens in X number of days. Had a arm go on my frames the other day. Called in to see what the warranty was on my frames, told two years. Took them in, they looked them over. Was a warranty issues, they had another frame in stock, change my lens in to the new frames and had me on my way in 10 minutes. This is my second pair of glasses I have got from them and I will be back for my third pair. To owners and staff keep up the great work. Service is #1.
