Teaching is good, however in student accommodation they will threaten to kick you out before your semester is over unless you pay them more money. As an exchange student myself, this means threatening me with homelessness for their rest of my exchange program. They only care about making money, nothing else.

I've been attending this university for a few years now and the professors in the Agricultural and Environmental studies departments have been amazing to me. The professional relationships I've developed because of the extra work they put in have helped with my career in numerous ways.

Instructors who lead small classes provide students with the opportunity to develop a closer relationship with their instructors and gain clarity on course expectations. If students deliver assignments in accordance with these expectations, they are likely to achieve success in their academic pursuits. The lack of a class median and the implementation of an open-door policy are additional factors that contribute to students' achievements.

3/10 proffesors teach well. Rest know that everyone here is just for Canadian PR requirements. I faced this one professor who left the course without teaching anything for 3 months and no gradings and came back the next year and repeating the same thing. The CIS department does not like to take your concerns seriously as well.
Conclusion: If you want to study, this university isnt for you. If you just want to graduate, might take a shot.

I'm taking Criminology at the moment here and to be honest, crim department is not the best. When I was checking some professors for next semester, all of their ratings are not that great. I'm planning to attend again next semester but I will apply in SFU next fall because they have decent Criminology department than here. I would still recommend ufv for Criminology but only for the first 2 years and transfer to other schools.

This place is a solid university. It’s got lots going for it. Library and decent food, Timmy’s and Triples Os.
All the teachers I have got it’s been solid, a few haven’t been great and not all will. The age variety is more in the early 20s. It’s still an amazing place for anymore to start over in their career.

The education provided there is good in terms of proper accreditation and prestigious/recognization.
But getting answers from staff/receptionists is a whole different story. You literally have to pull teeth to get any answers, even as a paying student. My physical files and homework have gotten lost more times than I can count. My emails and voice messages have been ignored even more than that. I was also getting bullied and belittled by staff, but that's a different story.

Impressive looking campus. My son had a basketball tournament here and we were able to tour the campus.
