Who would have thought a university would be discriminative.but when you write the rules to hiring and you are biased woke.
Well you open jobs to self identifying and designated black people only.

No higher education here.

The University of Victoria is the oldest post-secondary institution in British Columbia. First established in 1903 as Victoria College, an affiliated college of McGill University, it gained full autonomy and degree-granting status through a charter on July 1,1963.
Between 1903 and 1915, Victoria College offered first- and second-year McGill courses in the arts and sciences.  Administered locally by the Victoria School Board, the college was an adjunct to Victoria High School and shared its facilities. Both institutions were under the direction of a single Principal: E. B. Paul, 1903–1908; and S. J. Willis, 1908–1915

Beautiful campus with a wide range of things to see if you're just scoping it out or want to enjoy nature.

I was serving food at the free supper event on Tuesday at 6: 00 and loved meeting over 150 youth who are our leaders of the future!
The food was amazing, the volunteers warm and supportive and the kids were happy energetic and gracious!
I will go back next Tuesday to the Baptist Church who sponsors this wonderful event

Encountered Patricia Mackenzie and am truly disappointed by the low conduct of that person. They even titled Prof.which is ashaming the university

UVic does not believe that the immunocompromised/ Chronically ill/ disabled are worthy of an education. I have had to put my degree on hold because they refuse to let me work safely online, telling me that I must come to in person classes even if every doctor in the world tells me that I should not attend because I am clinically extremely vlaunerable to catching covid and dying.

Disgusting.

UVIC is a monopoly for food options on campus. The food tastes bad, is not competitively priced, and service is always too slow. The annual parking pass is un-affordable. UVIC has some serious problems as this list could continue.

I attended this school for 3 years, and after completing my degree requirements and they are illegally withholding this from me.

Education is sub par, not challenging and biased by cancel culture and fear of true intellectual exploration of that which is uncomfortable and difficult to confront.

I earned my Master’s in Global Business from UVic and it’s a great university to study and be at. From campus to professors, all resources are top notch. When you apply for a job there, though, you will feel disappointed. If you don’t make it to the interview round, they wouldn’t even bother responding. Even an automated email would suffice but at least let the candidate know that they didn’t make it to the next round. I applied for multiple positions there over the years and never heard back. If they’re not even considering UVic grads for a position, doesn’t that say something about their confidence in the education they are providing.

Unique university, with staff willing to go above and beyond what was needed.

The tour of the campus was outstanding.

The student employees and volunteers were great.

I suggest going to their site and booking a tour.

Hey guys Walter here! Just wanted to update you on the uvic situation; the owner of the cafeteria has been hit with a class action lawsuit by the majority of his ex employees (led by me) after the affair with the id theft. The trial looks like a solid case for us and we should be able to make a deal good enough to return our lives to normal. Thanks for being with me on this journey and stay tuned for the update after the trial!

I found myself one day just hanging around, but i wasn't going anywhere. My head felt weird, my whole body tingling. What was going on I thought. I looked up but all I could see were my disappointments. This is what school is like. Pic related.

Great University. Had lots of great memories during my 5 years studying at Uvic. If I could go back in time, I would do it all over again.

My goul is to become a software engineer and set my in this University. Please pray for me everyone

Please reconsider partnering with Pacific Blue Cross. They are complete garbage from a customer service stand point and coverage stand point.

The best experience so far as an international student on 2018. The learning system is perfect. Your English skills will improve 100%. The memories were incredible and it was a life changing experience for opening my mind and making eternal friendships and self confidence. #UVIC #ALWAYSUVIC

The University of Victoria is a major research university located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The University of Victoria is the oldest post-secondary institution in British Columbia. One of the most beautiful University campuses in Victoria.

It snowed really Hard which were 11 and 12 Feb of 2019, thank goodness campus was closed on 12 which was yesterday. But but but, how come the emergency department didn’t realize that even though it is not snowing that hard today, the previous days of snow made it really Difficult to Walk/Drive/Bicycle/Bus to commute to school!
It’s beautiful natural view but the experience to commute to school sucks! Especially when it took me 45 mins to walk to school which was 25 mins walk normally, buses even stopped!
I won’t expect to have another campus closed day tmr, but UVic pls care about your students and staff who has to travel all the way to school! Appreciate it!

I have never attended this university. So I cannot comment on the educational aspects. This review is based on the cleanliness, order and layout of the campus all of which are extremely poor. I always see staff out on the campus cleaning and yet there is garbage everywhere - lots of disposable plastic and styrofoam food containers. The students seem to behave irresponsibly by buying all this trash and then don't even have the wherewithal to dispose of it properly. Much of the green space is poorly managed with invasive species growing unfettered. If there are signs saying your dog must be on a leash in a particular area you will see 20 dogs running about. The campus layout is stupid with the stupid ring road encircling the campus making it impossible to walk or cycle in peace. No bike lanes.

I did not undertake my full University Degree here but have taken classes here and there as professional development. Instructors are well spoken and friendly. The campus is beautiful and equipped with rain gardens. It is also a spot where you can meet new friends - and did I mention it is basically next door to some of the nicest beaches?

Busy and productive day. Wow! Trees still having their green leaves and berries at this time of the season?

It's a solid school and I have had a good experience in going here. However they actively cover up student suicides, especially in residence, while refusing to fund necessary mental health resources or cover them under the student health insurance plan. Counselling wait times are four months- too long for someone in crisis.
