Do not bring your pets to this place! I had a very old dog and I brought him in last month because of a nose injury and some rashes in his back, the vet not only did not check him up fully but even if he’s treatment worked he kept telling me lots of other treatment my dog should get, I asked him if it was okay to do it even with how old my dog was, he told me that it would be okay and that it wouldn’t be very painful for my dog. He also told me I should make an appointment for a teeth extraction. On Friday I took my dog to another veterinary clinic because of the exact same nose injury and some rashes in his chest, this time the vet told me that what my dog had, in general, in his paws, his nose, his teeth was product of the many years he lived in the street before being rescued, and that even if money wasn’t an issue it would be incredibly painful for my dog to do all those treatments and that even if we made them she didn’t think he would live to see the end and that some of what he had could even be cancer. In the end we had to sedate him and I held my dog in my arms as he died. In conclusion, the vet at university veterinary is a gold digger and doesn’t care how much your dog has to go through as long as he can get money out of you.

Dr. Zaigham saved my cats life. He stayed overnight to take care of my cat after my cats big surgery. I trust Dr. Zaigham for his excellent knowledge in veterinary care and mostly importantly, his kindness and love for the patients.

We brought our pet in due to an intestinal blockage. Dr. Zaigham was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough, explained all the potential complications related to the surgery and worked within our budget, offering a more affordable price compared to other vets. The entire process was quick and hassle-free. We're sincerely grateful to Dr. Zaigham for providing exceptional surgery for our beloved pet, Rambo. If you're looking for a place where your furry baby will be treated with expertise and compassion, I highly recommend this vet clinic.

My Coco got neutered here a week ago and the doctor made a perfect surgery for him. I’m so glad my puppy is recovering well. The receptionist Jimin is very friendly and easy to communicate.

My 7 month old Ragamese kitten was limping and I was terrified to see her in this state! Upon calling the clinic, Ji-min the receptionist was super helpful with the information and quote, excellent communicator, very empathetic and knowledgeable!

After the x-rays we discovered that Sugar (my cat) needed a surgery and Dr Zaigham and his team were very supportive and helped me by creating a surgery and recovery plan and schedule.

Today 2 months after her orthopaedic surgery and recovery period she is no longer limping, my baby can walk, run and jump!

I am extremely grateful and very fortunate to have selected this clinic as my veterinary clinic!

I took my cat for a regular checkup. It's good and fees are cheaper than other clinics. Didn't have any trouble while booking the appointment. They have also called to follow-up after a day.

Great! Always open to walk in, very kind, organized. Doctor is very knowledgeful, gentle to my kittens. Highly recommended.

Dr Zaigham is kind, thorough and thoughtful to the pet parents as much as the patient themselves. He makes sure you have a good understanding of the pet's issues and gives options for all situations. We're fortunate to have him on the West side!

Super knowledgeable staff! I brought my kitten, Mimi, there for a surgery a few months ago and the reception team was very friendly and went the extra mile to book us in quickly. Dr. Zaigham was incredibly thorough with everything and answered the long list of questions I had about the procedure. He also made sure I knew about the pricing beforehand (and I was able to receive a very reasonable price for everything - thank so much!). I was amazed to see my cat so comfortable afterwards and thankful for all the cuddles and treats he received, we will definitely be returning for further visits. I also appreciated the check up calls and advice given for his post-operative care, it was reassuring to know everything was ok. I am extremely impressed with the care we received and I fully trust the team with my fur babies. I seriously cannot recommend University Vet enough, Mimi and I are so grateful for all your work!

I brought my cat in for a quick bum cleaning as she is overweight and cannot clean herself. I recently adopted her and had said this to the receptionist and the vet. I don’t remember his name but from the minute I walked in I felt uncomfortable. He was talking down to another customer and just wasn’t kinda in general. Then when he turned to me he immediately demanded we sedate my cat when I had already confirmed that we wouldn’t do that unless absolutely necessary. And he was just rude to me and continued to say cats don’t like baths as if I didn’t already know that. She was highly neglected and needed a cleaning.
Anyways receptionist was a sweet girl. Told me it’d be about an hour. Ended up being longer than that so I was super anxious about it. When I went back to get my girl the lady confirmed she did fine, acted as a normal cat did but didn’t scratch or bite. Then the vet comes storming out telling me that my cat was a horrible cat and scratched and bit etc. Then decided to tell me that she was fat (which Ik and I explained she’s on a strict diet for her weight and urinary issues, and that I didn’t need advice on this area) then even when I denied his advice continued to give me attitude told me my cat will get diabetes and tried telling me about dieting no matter how many times I explained the situation. Then continued to try to call me a bad owner. He finally went back into the back and I turned to the receptionist, very confused might I add. I asked if any of what the vet had said was true and she said no and that my girl just yowled and did indeed stretch out her claws but did not scratch or bite. So I think the vet was just trying to money grab and was upset I didn’t go with it. Not only that but they did an exam but I heard nothing at all about it other than my cats fat. Which I know. So not sure he actually performed one. I am absolutely not coming back. Not with how me and my cat were treated.

I took my cat, Galileo to Dr. Zaigham for the first time. We were seen within a day, prices are very reasonable, staff is so kind!

What really stood out was how calm my cat was, he is very timid and didn’t come back to me shaking like usual. It was evident the staff was gentle and genuinely caring. We will definitely be coming back for future health needs.

The staff and the vet are extremely reliable and helpful. I am fostering a cat and they were able to book me in much faster than any other vet in Vancouver. Even after the consultation they have been so responsive to all my obsessive emails asking them follow up questions for the cat. A few days after the appointment staff called to inquire how my cat was doing since the appointment. I appreciate their kindness so much.

They didn't accommodate the animal with an immediate appointment. Even though animal was in pain.

They will find a way to over charge you.took my dog to them when i saw blood in her stool and this was the only place i found a slot in.they fixed the dog which is the important part.but there was no transparency in pricing.the doctor kept giving advise that was driven by the size of work (and amount to pay) and whenever I asked how much a thing cost he would dodge answering directly.made me feel terribly uncomfortable and ultimately walked out with a 500$+ bill

again, they fixed the dog, but expect to be overcharged

Doctor Zaigham is very kind and passionate about what he does! Always recommends the best for pets and has their health in mind before anything else.

Don't go there. The Dr told me the estimated number before I left my cat ($160 for X-ray, $20 for collecting blood and $60 for urine test) and they charged my wife $850 when she picked her up.
