It’s full of a lot of incredible items and the stationary section is a dream. I thought it was a cool little niche shop we discovered since moving to the valley over a year ago. However, there is a lack of customer service which is disheartening and disappointing as someone who has worked in the field. Out of the handful of times I’ve shopped and purchased, the staff was all huddled behind the counter, loudly talking amongst themselves. Any customer inquiring about something was treated as an inconvenience. And most staff members were indifferent, even when checking out. I’m empathetic to people in retail having had to endure it for nearly a decade of my life and I genuinely hate people and interactions on that scale but I was also paid to pretend it was tolerable And honestly, if they’re not being paid adequately enough to care about their job then I will take everything back because that’s also not fair. So, In summation; cool store, bad service, but if the pay is reflecting bad service then that should change

Ok, I genuinely, sincerely love this store. I get gifts for all of my friends here. I have one main issue with Uranus, and that is supporting more local artisans. The store has beautiful jewelry, nice body care, aesthetic candles and pottery. But SO much of it is sourced from the USA. Why! There is so much great, local Van Isle artisans who are just as good if not better! Try Picot Collective, Hollow Tree, Joleen Sohier, Flux & Stone, Wolf Circus to name a few. Keep it local! Cmon Uranus!
