I would STRONGLY advise you to NEVER leave your pet here. My family unfortunately had left our dog here for her grooming session a couple years ago. We tried to deal with a lawyer only to find out they would just have to pay a fine, and we would have to stay silent. We left our dog healthy and well for a haircut and we got her back dead at the vet. I wish I could say this is a joke. She declined to give us the footage or images from their security cameras. Cops were called on the women who works here behalf, and thus we got 3 images. One where we clearly notice the worker has noise drowning headphones on, and another with our dog, on a table left alone unattended.

She told us our dog had what seemed like a stroke at the groomers and they had immediately taken her to the vet. But when we got to the vet, he had told us that our dog had arrived dead and had been for a while as her tongue was blue. Clearly they hadn’t even realized when they had killed her.

There is an astounding amount of negative reviews I’d advise you to read as they SHOULD NOT be continuing practice of any sort to our pets.

Came to pickup dog food at their posted opening hours (11am on a Sunday) and the door was locked, no sign of anyone in the store. I left and came back 15 mins later, still nothing. I guess I’ll buy my food somewhere else.

I have taken my dog Rosie to Anna for the last couple of years. One thing never changes - Anna is always very pleasant and professional and she does a great job. Rosie is always excited when she arrives and we are always thrilled when we pick her up. I highly recommend Urban Pets and Anna.

I've not actually entered this store, however I am concerned by a little kitten running around loose in the store. The open sign is off and the front door is locked but the security gate is open. There is a super cute kitten interacting with anyone walking by at the front of the store. We've been outside the store for a good half hour and not seen any sign someone is here. Maybe someone is in there and letting a single kitten have run of the store but that seems unusual.
I hope these kitten has at least access to food and water and a litter box ideally.

Absolutely fantastic and grooming! They special order my dog food in as well and remember who I am which makes me feel special. I highly recommend this place!

Do NOT leave your pet here, it’s not safe. Leave a detailed review of your experience, and call the SPCA to make a report. The more of us who report what we’ve experienced, the greater the likelihood that appropriate action will be taken.

In my own experience, the owner is rough with the dogs and yells at them. She sells expired and freezer burned dog food, tries to manipulate you into buying things you don’t need, and will try to make you pay a higher price for grooming than what was previously negotiated. Our dog came back from grooming uncharacteristically fearful and upset. The owner’s response? She tried to sell us expensive CBD oil to deal with the “problem”. The real problem is that this business is still in operation.

AMAZING PLACE! Everyone I’ve met are friendly and helpful, and I feel they do their best to keep prices as low as possible. The owner rocks. Stop on by.

I believe in supporting small businesses however this shop is the exception. The discounted expired food, grooming salon and customer service is very questionable and gives me red flags. I'd much rather shop at K&K pet foods.

Don't bring your dog here for a grooming session as they may be abused. The owner tries to cover up serious injuries.

The owner, is one of the finest individuals I have ever met. You would do well to trust your pets will get the best care possible.

Friendly, fast service, and they groom cats! Never purchased goods there, but everything looks top notch. Reasonable pricing, nice location with cafes and grocery store nearby while you wait. Have gone twice, will go again!

I am greatly troubled by the conditions in which the budgies at this store are kept in. Firstly, the cage itself is located right in a window, leaving the birds unprotected from harassment after hours. Secondly, the cage is barren of enrichment aside from a dirty mirror (mirrors are well-known to cause psychological/behavioural issues in parrots) and a dull wooden item. Budgies, like all parrots, are highly intelligent animals, and thus a lack of stimulating enrichment is very unhealthy for them. Lastly, the cage floor is very dirty. I own budgies myself and know that that level of fecal matter and spilt feed does not accumulate in just a day. I first took notice of the pair on August 22nd of this year (where I learned they had been at the store for months), and the conditions they are kept in have not changed or improved since that encounter. This sort of treatment and display, along with being blatant neglect, does not give a good idea to potential buyers of what appropriate budgie husbandry is.
