Valemount Visitor Centre

Stopped by Valemount Visitor Centre for a bathroom break on the way to Jasper. The centre is clean, bright and airy. We picked up lots of guides and brochures of nearby places of interest.

I was here 3 weeks ago with 2 friends. After 1 month of road tripping and have see a lot of visitors center of national parks (Banff‚ Jasper‚ Yellowstone‚ Yosemite‚ Zion.) I can say that the guy who give us advices (sorry I don't remember of his name after this long time‚ I Can just say that he has a white beard) was by far the best we had. He gave us advices about animals‚ hikes to do (he was right‚ Kenney lake was probably the best hike without a lot of tourists we've done during this road trip) and others useful advices.

Forgive my bad english‚ but thanks a lot for all advices‚ and you should go here (if you plan to go to Jasper‚ you'll probably have better advices hère than in Jasper).

Not very friendly staff. Couldn’t be bothered greeting me or asking if I needed help. Very embarrassing as a Canadian for foreign visitors to be dismissed because staff is too busy on the internet.

Stopped in to pick up some brochures and maps. Ended up having a great conversation with one of the staff, Ernie. He gave us an excellent introduction to the area and made lots of notes on our map.
