Popped in here to get an infected bee sting checked out on the way up island for the long weekend, and they were fantastic! Got in to see the doctor right away, and the staff at the front desk were super nice and helpful. By far the best walk-in clinic experience I've ever had! They also got my prescription to the pharmacy next door almost immediately. Thank you!

Yes you have to wait, yes it takes time but the reception is very friendly, patience and efficient even though they get rude people at their desk.

Attended the walk-in clinic this morning with a broken radius and I was dealt with quickly and efficiently and at an extremely reasonable price.
It could not have been a better experience.
Thank you Dr de Beers and your team.

The receptionists are a detriment to this clinic. They have no clue how to operate a business and should feel ashamed for their rude and unhelpful actions toward the sick and frail who go there for help.

I just got on board with this clinic who has kindly taken me and my baby on. After years of being on a waitlist to get a GP I am so relieved. So far I have been greeted with kindness and have been able to get through on the phone with little wait times. Sometimes the girls at the desk do seem rushed but I hear this clinic experiences very high volumes of patients so it makes sense they want to get to business and book you an appointment quickly with little small talk.

The doctors here are great. The front desk staff on the other hand are deplorable, rude and have terrible attitudes especially the fat old one. Find somewhere else so you won't have to deal with the old bag.

Valley View treatment centre is an exceptional clinic. It’s clean, well laid out with plenty of space for patients. The ladies in the front office run a tight ship. They are professional, respectful and courteous. They are the first line of care you receive when seeing a physician and go above and beyond without getting a fraction of the credit they deserve. The physicians are truly some of the most caring medical people I have encountered. I am fortunate to have a family doctor within the clinic and he (Dr. Kapongo) truly listens and cares about myself and my family. While providing me and my family with exceptional care. I have also had the pleasure of having appointments with
Dr. De Beer and Dr. Sapoznikof. Although I am not technically their patient I have received thorough detailed care. From start to finish I have consistently been cared for, put at ease, heard and treated with respect. I cannot say enough good things about this clinic.

My doctor, Dr. M Sapoznikov, is a superb physician who has been my family doctor for almost ten years. I followed her to this clinic Unfortunately, this clinic is too small to handle the number of patients that come through the door daily. The waiting room is cramped and I have seen people waiting outside just to reach the reception. The phone system is a horror movie. I waited for one hour today, queued from ten to one, finally reaching a busy signal to be bumped off to begin another one hour wait, again to reach another busy signal. Dr DeBeers needs to open his purse strings and spend money on an adequate phone system. There is a dearth of doctors in Cobble Hill, but that should be no reason to use this clinic if you expect to be treated in a civilized manner. It's too bad Dr. Sapoznikov uses this clinic. But then where do I go?

Everyone who is leaving the reviews about how awful the service at the clinic need to be reminded that this is one of the only walk-in clinics on the island. Of course it is nearly impossible to get through on the phone. There are people trying to call the clinic, and walking in to the clinic, from as far as Nanaimo and Victoria because the clinics in these cities have closed down. Think for a minute how many people that is, literally hundreds. It is a small clinic and the number of people who want to see a Dr.far outnumbers the realistic capability, both on the phone and behind the desk to accommodate the population to their liking. One has to wait for hours at the hospital to be seen and there is easily 10 times more staff there. Think about this before you expect to have your untitled self validated. Quit taking it out on the only girls good enough to come to work every day knowing they are only going to be yelled and and insulted all day. Trust me when I say that all they do all day is respond to both walk-in and scheduled patience both on the phone and in the clinic. Take their place for 20 minutes and see who well you take the abuse without seeming ‘unpleasant’ or ‘rude’. I give you 5 minutes top. I am frustrated when I can’t get what I need, same as anyone else but I have to remind myself that I am one of hundreds who are in need of assistance to that very minute and there are 3 people who can help me who already have 20 people standing in front of them 30 seconds after they open. Always be kind. If you can’t be, then drive yourself to the hospital and see how far your complaint gets you. Thank you to all of you at Valleyview Walk-in for doing the best you can. I know you don’t live under your desk, I know you have homes to tend to before you come to work and after you go home.

Dr. Ibraheem AbouElkhair has been my GP for over a year now and is one of the most kind and compassionate doctors I've ever met. He always goes the extra mile to ensure I receive the right care and takes the time to actually listen to my concerns. The front office staff are always pleasant on the phone as well (though it can be a long wait on hold to get through, but what medical office isn't, these days. Highly recommend.

Worst experience ever! Dr. DeBeers is actually awesome but the reception staff are horrible and rude. My experience: I arrived at 2: 20 Monday afternoon.no appointments possible. I was told to get here first thing Tuesday morning and wait in line. I did and got to talk to the receptionist at 10: 20,1.5 hours after arriving. My appointment was made for 3: 20 that day, needing me to take an entire day off work for a simple prescription refill. I arrived for my appointment on time and saw the receptionist see me walking in. I didn't "check in", not seeing any sign that it was necessary and seeing that I had an appointment on the books, it shouldn't have been necessary for me to "check in". All staff has to do is call out names. I waited past my appointment time but was patient and quiet, understanding that it was busy. 30 minutes after my appointment time, the receptionist called out to me from behind her desk and asked what I was waiting for. What was I waiting for? I could have been sarcastic but wasn't and simply said I was waiting for my turn. She asked me if I checked in and I said no, I hadn't but I did have an appointment. She replied that unless I checked in, she didn't know I was there. I CALMLY replied that all she had to do was call out my name at the time of my appointment or after and I would have answered. This set her off immediately and she became angry and began blaming me for not knowing how to make arrangement and what not, all insults. I replied as calm as I could, considering she was now yelling at me, that it wasn't hard to to call out a name but she insisted it wasn't her job to call out names, despite her calling out names when other patients were due for their appointments. I then told her to calm down and she yelled at me to GET OUT, pointing at the door. Only then, did I also become upset and ask to talk to her supervisor or a doctor to report her behavior. But she continued ranting about my social skills and that this was her office and blah, blah. She was out of control. Dr. DeBeers finally came out after I asked for him and he had to tell her to quiet down and serve me properly. He did not ask me to leave and told her to get me my appointment. If not for him, she would have flipped out. After this, I was made to sit and wait another 15 minutes and never received an explanation from anyone. Dr. DeBeers has left the office by then, and I was served by another unknown doctor. Again, no apology was offered for the insane behavior and insults from the receptionist. I want to point out that there's a sign at the desk telling people not to be rude.yet it seems perfectly ok to be rude to patients. I don't blame DeBeers.he's the only good person there. But everyone else, including other doctors, are irresponsible and impatient and not accountable for their staff. I will NEVER go there again and plan on filling a complaint with the Ministry of Health.

Spent an hour on the phone waiting in que to talk amd 34 minutes of that was being number one and next in line until the hour mark hit and busy tone kicked in and cut off. Thanks for messing up on my mother's prescription and now doesn't get it until after Christmas. Sort your phone system out and sort out short falls cause this is really getting beyond stupid.

Great doctors and the staff is helpful and friendly enough. BUT, it's near impossible to get through on the phone. Invariably have to stay on hold for at least 30 minutes and sometimes for more than an hour before someone answers. In my case this can only happen during hours where I'm supposed to be working. Today was the true definition of telephone hell. First it rang busy a few times but I kept trying. Finally got into the system at #10 in the queue. After more than an hour I was down to number 1 only to have the line start beeping busy. Called right back and the line had shut down for their lunch break. Tried again after lunch and started at #10 again. Patiently waited on hold until I joyfully heard I had made #1. A few minutes later the line started beeping busy again and I couldn't make any contact. Not being one to give up I tried again at 1: 30pm and made it from #10 to #1 just around 4: 00pm only to have the line make a busy signal again. At that point I finally gave up and now I have to take a day off from work to line up at the door just to have someone schedule an appointment for me. There isn't even an option for leaving a message for a call back like most reputable businesses should have. I was basically on hold from 11: 30 until 4: 00 with no results. Absolutely unacceptable treatment of clients.

Heartless, unsympathetic Dr. Kapongo is just about pushing pills. Won't review my blood test, can't wait to get rid of me. Big problem with caring Drs.retiring, being replaced with emotionless suspect Drs.

Sometimes you have to wait a little while but there’s a doctor shortage and tons of patients, they’re doing great considering

I’m 99% sure i have strep throat and i need antibiotics.on hold for an hour and exactly 30 seconds when i was finally caller #1 it started beeping and then hung up on me.do better.

Easily the worst experience I have ever had trying to book any kind of appointment. If the receptionist ever feels like answering the phone she will just guess and give you a vague time, which has no actual bearing on when, or even if, you receive the booked phone call. Being told a call will be "sometime this afternoon" and then when asking for a more specific time being told, "from 12-3 today", thanks I know what the word "afternoon" means. Then having them call at 9: 30am instead and hang up after one ring, but not before leaving me a message to call them back which means sitting on hold for 20+ mins as the first in queue. Then when they finally feel like answering the phone they forget to take me off hold and instantly hang up on me because they can't hear me, because I am still on hold. I have lots of patience for understaffed/overworked workers but this is unbelievably poor service that is completely unacceptable. I don't know if it's incompetence or malice but please get a new receptionist or system for booking patients because this is absurd.

I recently visited VTC to receive follow-up care due to a hiking accident in Whistler that required major surgery at Lion’s Gate Hospital in North Van. I arrived 30 mins before opening & there were approx 10 people already waiting. When the clinic opened, the staff did an amazing job of registering & triaging patients. The reception staff were very friendly even though I overheard some sarcastic comments from family members who were there with a patient. Due to my injury, I have reduced mobility & the staff provided me with a chair in an examination room so I wouldn’t have to travel from the waiting room. Dr. Kapongo provided excellent care. I needed to return in a week & they scheduled an app’t for me rather than coming as a walk in again. Very happy with this clinic!

Been going here for over a decade. Doctors are helpful, and have provided me with excellent care over the years except for a couple negligent appointments. Overall best patient care compared to other Offices in the valley. The reception, unacceptably inaccessible, absurd wait-time 50+ minutes, as if they aren’t even answering the calls, stuck at caller #2 for 30+ mins. Costing people their health, as many don’t have the ability to go into Duncan such as the elderly/disabled.

How can I get ahold of this office? I've been trying for weeks.i live out in sooke and I need to book and appointment with my family doctor.this is ridiculous. I've literally been on hold everyday for hours. Please let me know how I can get through.this is serious regarding my health and i cant even get through to my family doctor. I actually have no choice but to switch.: (

The doctor with an Australian accent is garbage. He's obviously lived a sheltered life. I had thousands of pages of medical documentation regarding my injury. He spent 5mins with me and denied my request for a simple doctor's note. Anyone's time is better spent elsewhere.
