Not impressed Not enough staff put on shift to help put customers through the till. There was a huge line up. That is some piss poor planning on management. 6 do it yourself and then only 3 open. This place is going under. Customer service is number 1. No matter where you shop. Don't provide adequate service, people will start going somewhere else.

Who makes these prices? Honestly? It’s a 100% profit business everything is donated. Scummy.

It's really amazing how everything in that store is given to them. And they turn around and ask ridiculous prices for it all

It's a great place visit fast friendly and have a self checkout now. Always find the men's clothing in my size

I found crutches and a shower chair for use after knee surgery. Price was awesome. Also used 20% off coupon from donating. Crutches were new!

Well, what can one say about Vernon's Value Village? It's definitely a place. Okay, that's a bit harsh. First, let me be clear, the staff are excellent. They are cordial, polite and helpful when needed.

The store itself is neatly laid out, and boasts a healthy variety of clothing, toys, bits and bops.if you're looking for wardrobe suitable for repurposing, or perhaps even to replenish some items missing from your own, this is definitely not a bad place to make that happen.

During my visit, it was a lively place, lots of boisterous children singing the song of their people — not sure what song that is, but it's loud!

Essentially, Value Village is a reliable place in both item and expectation.

Very clean! Very cheap! A lot of home products to start a new home and save a lot of money! Everything it's tested and very well cared!

What the hell? First value village was non profit.then they got caught funneling money into private pockets. Then they went profit now they are too cheep to even pay their cashiers. Self checkouts. Their greed knows no boundaries. Lost my business.

I wish I could give zero stars. My firefighting crew and I went here and one of our crew members was inexplicably kicked out. He was singled out and approached by two staff members (Mackenzie and Aly) and told “he had to leave or they were calling the police”. When I went to speak with them and try to understand why, they kept repeating “this is a private business and we have the right to refuse service to anyone”. They then proceeded to bluff threaten to call the police some more (which they never did even after I encouraged them to).
The only differentiating feature of our crew member was his nationality and some cultural appearance differences. Without an explanation from VV staff, our crew was left to assume their reasoning was racially motivated.
This experience was extremely upsetting for my crew mate and our entire crew.
I have attempted to reach out to a manager but have been unable to get in contact. If some upper management personnel could get in contact with me for an explanation and closure on this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

So I am a fire fighter working on the forest fires in the area. My crew went in after work to look for some spare shirts and check out deals, as you do in a Value Village. Two of the staff walked up to my coworker and demanded he leave, refusing to state a reason other than that they, as a private business, have the right to refuse service to anyone.
After threatening to call the cops my coworker decided to just leave. Our crew leader went to ask what the problem was and they still would not state a reason. I know my coworker and know he wouldn't ever steal or try to cheat anyone out of anything, let alone the fact that a bunch of us were also nearby, shopping.
My coworker has a big beard and, to be honest, all of us were a little dirty after being on the line all day, despite trying to clean ourselves up with a little water. So maybe they thought he was homeless?
But if that was their reason, does that mean they don't support homeless people? Or just firefighters?
I am thoroughly unimpressed and will NEVER shop here or suggest anyone else does.

Friendly staff, no gross smells.
The prices seem to have gone way up.
Still fun to kill some time looking.

Bought a white muscle shirt for 10.49 and couldn’t try it on before I purchased it only to find out I do not like it after I get home to try it on, and now I have to return it. Mean while there was some guy with his pants off in the mens Jean section, trying on some pants. Most of the cloths are way over priced and marked above original sales price I’m sure the management probably uses that for insurance on items lost to theft and due to the lack of security and scummy location and probably the benefits from overpriced merch I’m sure nothing is going to be done about said issues in my opinion. Found this after I rubbed marker off original price.

Way over priced! Not donating there either now that they are for profit. Support local consignment shops instead. Vernon has some great consignment stores.

Was just there, I had donated so many times this past month, each time we would look around,

Bur today after donating and looking around for while, My girls and I got kicked Out of the store, The lady there did not give us a reason at all,

I shop there from time to time, when I do go in I look only for things that are new or very close to it, last visit I bought an electric water heater, or tea kettle, what ever you call it, it was in very good shape, no stains inside, instant shut off, 10 dollars, and I found some brand new muscle shirts, and some really cool summer shorts 3 to 5 dollars, and when I got to the till, I saw a 4 dollar Silver chain, you never know what you will find, cause every time like the time before I went in I found a black leather coat, worth at least 400 dollars new, for 5 dollars and it fit & looks so good on me, so if you're not that rich, give it a try you possibly can find some really good things cheap.thank you & have yourself a GD DAY**

Prices are high, sometimes you can buy new for the same costs there trying to sell things for the used items

Haven't gone in for awhile and l thought it was hilarious to see V. V.selling rocks, that you pretty much find anywhere for free, on the road, in a ditch, at a park. Must be pretty special to sell for $1.99 to $3.99. I swear someone has sick sense of humor. Soooo tempted to start donating boxes of random rocks and come back a few weeks later to see if they are on the shelves. Seriously can't make this up.

The strangest shopping experience of my life. I found a pair of Levi’s priced at 12.49$, but noticed it had a belt loop that had popped out, and some wearing between the thighs (both things easily fixed by a novice sewer) and asked if it was possible to lower the price at the register. The cashier (who was great) called her manager over to ask- who said just by looking at the code on the tag, the condition had already been noted, so instead of having a few dollars knocked off the price, he told me they were not sellable and that he would instead have to “recycle” them. “Making second hand second nature”? Support your local thrift stores instead.

Meh, it's Value Village. You're probably going to find a good deal but it will come at the cost of discovering a new disease

Interesting clothes for small budget.
Shoes and bags lost their quality and less seasonal.have to improve men shoes. But I like this place.

Although the prices have been going up throughout the years, I still find myself shopping at VV. It can still be cheaper to find a used cordless phone for a business for example. Sometimes you can get a good laugh when you see a $4 Dollarama item being sold for $10. I do appreciate the new points program they have. Never seem to talk to any employees except at the till but they are always polite.

Really need to organize they're hard goods isle. Take a look at value village in Ontario - dixie and Dundas. Personally use to work there in production and organization was a huge thing. Making a couple end caps with a colour scheme would make a huge difference! Brings the eyes to the nicer things being donated and makes you want to look around!
18 September 2020 6:04
Prices are high for the quality of the things there. Not enough selection compared to the Kelowna and Penticton stores especially in the mens section.
16 September 2020 17:50
Due to the fact that its parent company is the same one that owns Walmart and never have I seen it posted publically that it is a for profit business and yet their inventory is all by local donations by people who think they are doing a good service by donating to a charitable organization and helping out the community. THIS IS NOT WHAT VALUE VILLAGE IS. ITS A 100% GREEDY MONEY HUNGRY COMPANY
15 August 2020 12:41
The bathrooms are always filthy, the selection is dismal and chances are you will wake up with a cold the next day cause they let shoppers in and stay in who sneeze all over the place, not worth it, going down hill big time
21 July 2020 9:34
I have no issues with the employees of this branch but the level of price gouging is unfounded. I have seen multiple items that they can't even test going for upwards of 60 dollars. Truly ridiculous. Please donate and shop at the Salvation Army.
20 March 2020 5:42
Prices are getting kind of high for used items. Used to be much better.
Some items are more than new at Walmart or superstore. Completely defeats the purpose of buying used.
If there is a tag sale on or if its senior discount day (Tuesdays) then it's ok. Have to shop around for a bargain, dont assume because it's used its going to be cheaper
