Very bad parking. The laneway behind was very messy.looked like people just dumped everywhere.

Great place to get old tech to take apart/hack. The guy that gives prices of tech items was super nice and gave me a good evaluation on the price of a 90s PDA. He also complimented me on my tech skills at a young age. Wounderful!
24 October 2023 2:37
Absolutely over priced. 70 dollars for jeans that were donated to them? Used dvds that are twice as much as brand new ones at Wal-Mart.save your money.value village has no value whatsoever
10 October 2023 3:36
Very cramped and has a slow line, but lots of variety. There could definetly be better signage, very confusing layout. Found what I was looking for though:)

A thrift shop that accepts donations and u can find treasures when they put it up for resale
29 December 2021 15:47
Too expensive cannot afford clothes for myself and pay for my dying daughter's medicine

fly high angel

can only support my daughter and i if you sub to my roblox × only fans twitch

Ok its big. It has everything. But its always crowded and people don't social distance. Maybe late at night is better? But I've found so many treasures here. Its a good mix of small town chochky items, with some fancy city labels mixed in.
20 December 2021 15:55
Has range of stuff but for a value village getting donations and selling them, it's pretty expensive and can add up quickly. I would check if any smaller local charity thrift shops have cheaper prices.
06 December 2021 18:24
The reality is a lot of us need an affordable place to shop even if second hand. I realize that value village does a number of Charity works and employees a great number of people but I still find it quite often outrageous the prices they put on the items that they received for free. Wish I could say I didn't need to go back there, but if I have any other option I would take it over them. No reflection on the staff quite often they are very pleasant
28 November 2021 7:23
No change rooms combined with a strict 14 day exchange-only policy (and no exchange for gift cards) is a big yikes from me. Selection and quality was good, price and customer service was average.

Value village is also for-profit corp (that funnels a relatively small percentage of donations to charity partners). Definitely take your business and donations to thrift stores that give more of its margins to charity like the SCPA or Hospice societies.
23 November 2021 5:32
Crowed and getting overpriced. I saw a pair of shoes here that i donated and they cost more than when i bought them. I have to try donate at the salvation army.
21 November 2021 23:16
No fitting rooms, told to find a secluded corner to try pants on. Don't recommend for clothes shopping.
20 November 2021 7:33
*Quack! * it’s hit or miss. This location is big and open until 10 so that’s a plus.

The clothing leaves something to be desired. Showcase- forget it!

Big Book section which is sweet- but C’ummmon! The prices for used books are too high.

They have a guide showing original price on book From this range to this range = too much lol!

Stroll on downstairs -yes downstairs! For kiddos, stationary, Nic knacks, toys, sports, furniture, bedding, ect

This is usually where I will score! Sometimes even with the Ladies!
03 November 2021 20:23
They could clean the downstairs better. It’s chaos. The clothes are organized but they don’t seem to put the effort into the rest
28 October 2021 1:08
Very nice selection and everything is grouped nicely for great viewing. Staff seems a bit paranoid tho. They definitely keep an eye on the stereotypical "suspect" lol
15 October 2021 2:51
Value village has really gone down in quality and up in prices. You can find some good stuff but it's so over priced that it's not even worth the trip anymore.

As well as that, they have 1st hand cheap-quality holiday items. Not what the environment needs at all!

Really unimpressed with Value Village and sad it's changed so much since the wonderful store it once was!
10 October 2021 5:18
Always a chance you can scoop a great deal but.majority of the clothing at this location is damaged and stained, even actually dirty. Everything is overpriced. Searched for over an hour on two separate occasions and could only find 2 or 3 items that weren't complete garbage. Disappointing.
06 October 2021 23:58
Obviously understaffed, and I feel bad for them. Everything is out of sorts. It's a gong show, so unless that's what you want to pick through, this value village is definitely not for you.
04 October 2021 8:53
Filthy, the area, the people and the store. Avoid this place, the one that everyone is afraid of on East Hastings is nicer!
14 September 2021 22:23
To expensive for a thrift store the management must be terrible to put such jacked up prices on things.
They really let you know how much of a for profit business it is leaching of people's FREE DONATIONS and then charging close to new prices on everything.
02 September 2021 4:44
Great Value Village! Big store, nice staff, fairly clean. In a bit dodgy part of town, but lots of street parking around.
31 August 2021 16:14
We were visiting from Edmonton and decided to check out the Value Village here in Vancouver. This location is huge, with lots of great products and reasonable prices. The customer service was top notch as well. We asked an employee named Femarie for help and she was very kind to assist us. She was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our thrifting experience great. She also helped us at check out and she was fast and efficient.

I asked them for a spare mask and I even offered to pay for it. The staff wasn't helpful. I got a mask from a different store and came back because I needed shoes. The security guy followed me the whole time where I felt threatened and I ask him to stay away from me because he is not following his own policies and was wearing his mask multiple times on his shin.
For second hand it is always expensive and is taking it just from people they haven't been able to effort the product in the first place.

I am really disappointed how rude and condensecenting you are treating people if they need something. Nothing social all just another full blood capitalist who is taking advantage of everyone who has to participate because they don't have other choice or they are blinded by your fakeness.
13 August 2021 10:23
The fact that you can only go to the downstairs area using the stairs, make difficult to those with disabilities, or if you want to keep your shopping cart with you.
13 July 2021 10:50
I like browsing here and find something makes me exciting. I’ve gotten many clothes and few pair of shoes from here. Some staffs are not good quality but the price is cheap so understandable. I highly recommend you to check the condition of products before you buy. Also, you can’t return but u r able to exchange.
26 June 2021 3:10
Almost every time so far something found but gotta come quite early - theres a lineup and resellers (mostly male) will rush in, luckily they go straight to mens! Very polite and friendly staff.some prices weirdly low, some on the higher side so there’s no rule which is good I guess
decently sized and on the larger side and not too far from skytrain commercial nanaimo and even metrotown and joyce stations
16 June 2021 10:26
It was quite busy when I went. The donation bins were overflowing and they were out of baskets to carry around the store.
But I was able to find this gem despite the other customer eating his food in the back corner and walking around with his mask under his chin
01 May 2021 2:04
So beyond over priced it's gross. This place gets free donations and charge so much for them you'd think you were at a department store.
Thrifts stores are meant to be discounted because the items are used and donated. Yet they do the exact opposite.
Total and complete rip off.
13 April 2021 16:16
Has really great finds at this location. Been a couple times, but highly suggest going at off hours on a weekday. The weekend was bonkers.
12 April 2021 11:46
Great findings every time I go. Sadly more and more people don't care about safe practices and a lot of parents leave their kids unattended all over the place.
08 April 2021 12:57
Always love my VV visits. Great finds in dresses and books today. I love the new set up since covid with more space to shop.
07 April 2021 5:25
I truly love the thrift store experience and make it part of my weekly practice. I have to say though, I'm not particularly impressed with this Value Village on Victoria Drive. I found their selection to be over-priced for what I would expect from a second hand store. I found an Obey T-Shirt, last years collection, size medium in good, not excellent condition, priced at $14.99. For a T-Shirt like that I would be pleased to spend $4.99.

They did have a nice selection of Sari's which were priced between 9.99-19.99. Some of which were beautifully beaded.

I also checked out the housewares section but didn't find anything that was super exciting. The pricing seemed in line with other thrift stores I visit.
06 April 2021 7:34
Not as nice as other VV's I've been to. Large selection but not very good condition for the price. I spent over an hour inside and couldn't find much. They do have a large book collection with decent prices and you may find some good quality clothing for lower price if you have time to really search. There is a kid's section downstairs with some clothing which looked like you might find something but the toys are almost entirely junk. You can't try things on at the store due to covid but you can take it home to try on and then return it. Also, they only have brown bags with no handles which isn't great if you're walking. Overall not that great, probably won't return.
22 March 2021 7:24
This VV location has a small variety of really nice Kate spade ️ handbags and a couple other name brand handbags. I feel like they are super over priced tho.ranging from $60 - $130. I think second hand clothes and accessories shouldn't be so expensive! Plus the parking lot was full and the store was packed full of customers not socially distancing! Felt yucky
21 March 2021 17:23
Clean and well maintained. Selection rotates fairly quick and they are managing their Covid Precautions well. It is getting harder to find good deals though.
21 March 2021 1:20
Awful pricing. No value, nor thriftiness to be found here. Go somewhere else, donate somewhere else.
18 March 2021 4:07
I never realized a store that relies on donations would be so stingy. My wife had bought a shirt for me, and when I tried it on, it was a little too big. We went back the next day to get another shirt. We found one, and it happened to be about $7 cheaper than the first one. However, VV Boutique does not refund money. Instead, we needed to find something that made up the difference. This particular store on Victoria is not unlike going through a landfill.
Why won't you guys just refund the difference? What a horrible policy.
I highly recommend donating to and shopping at other stores like Habitat for Humanity, which actually gives back to the community instead of leeching off of it.
14 March 2021 22:00
Definitely, the place where you do find "the find"! I've found my "find" there several times!

Over priced on many things you can get at a dollar store or on Amazon. The only thing I have found of value in the past few years are blue jeans.
07 March 2021 5:56
Nice thrift store, generally tidy and easy to find stuff. They don't move around sections often which is appreciated. Prices continue to increase though, $19.99 for used Vans or $14.99 for used Levi's.
06 February 2021 8:00
Good size Value Village, with a downstairs. I didn't see an elevator (may have just missed it) so not ideal if you have mobility issues.
Everyone should still remember not to fill thier basket so full you struggle up the stairs.
21 January 2021 8:30
Huge collection of used kitchenware, dress n shoes, books, toys and a small collection of electronic items and furniture. Best place to donate if you have used items which are in good condition
07 June 2019 5:10
I actually like coming to this store a lot! There are some good finds here if you are looking for something specific, or even not, you might come across something else interesting to get!
20 May 2019 23:50
Pricey for a thrift store in my opinion but I found some tip top conditioned items here so I guess the price sorta makes up for it: p
Every thrift stores has its hidden gems, so take your time to look through the items
07 May 2019 13:18
I don’t know who is making the price tags. You can buy stuff like pots pans and some other items for cheaper at ikea or Walmart than what they mark it here, and they are new. Used item should be priced as used item.
03 May 2019 1:04
Everything is over priced.im too poor to pay the high prices! It's actually quite degrading to me as a supposedly average customer, I feel too poor to buy anything, and I would never bring anyone there to shop either, because you're merchandise is often low quality.
