Had a great shopping experience at Van Cleef & Arpels today with Ryoko. She started by giving us a tour around the boutique, introducing the different collections. I selected a few pieces to try on and eventually selected the Sweet Alhambra mother of pearl necklace. As each MOP piece varies slightly, Ryoko was extremely patient as I was trying to decide between the two necklaces. The service from all the staff was excellent and I would like to give a quick thank you to the gentleman who offered my friend and I the green tea and Evian water. I will definitely be coming back to add more pieces to my jewelry collection.

I had an amazing experience at VCA- we felt very taken care of. Our SA was beyond kind and knowledgeable. 10/10 would recommend making a reservation here.

I like their pieces but I do think that you are better off purchasing online. I went in store a few months ago with my mom to try on the vintage Alhambra pendant in 18k gold. Ultimately we decided to get it shipped back home to save on the taxes but upon opening, it did not come with a box. The necklace only came with a pouch. I then asked the associate if I could stop by to get a box or if they could ship it and they told me to bring the pouch back to exchange for the box. It was more trouble to go back and forth, so I kept the pouch.

I then came in recently to try on the frivole pendant and my partner purchased it in store this time (didn’t save on the tax). This item was already out aside and paid for in advance. Once they wrapped everything up, they just handed it to me (box and authenticity booklet) with no bag to put it in, which seemed very unprofessional. We were asked if we wanted a bag and they made us pay 15 cents for it. Normally, I am not one to complain at any other store but if you spend thousands at a store, the least they can do is give you a bag to put your stuff in.

We were taken aback but bought the bag… and this set off a downward spiral where my partners AMEX card was blocked for fraud as AMEX did not think there was anything this cheap (15 cents) sold at VCA.

Basically, if you love their stuff, I would get it. But for a luxury store like this, it was giving me stingy.

I went without a reservation, but they gave me very friendly advice. I was disappointed that the store didn't have the product I was looking for, but they allowed me to receive it within 4 weeks. I was served delicious tea and was able to have a good time as they kindly guided me to see other products on display.

I don't trust these negative reviews below.
First of all, most of them only have 1-2 reviews and secondly after shopping here today, these guys are the upmost professionals.

The wife and I just walked in, without an appointment. We were in the area and she was interested in seeing some of their pieces. When we arrived inside, we were greeted warmly. Since this is Van Cleef's flagship store, the decor and presentation are impeccable. The gentlemen named Alex gave us a brief tour of their store and history of the brand. He also offered us refreshments almost immediately when we did the tour.

Our SA Ryoko was patient, caring, and delightful. We spent literally an hour of her time trying to pick out the color of her Alhambra necklace all the while she was cheerful and extremely helpful. She's a saint!

We ended up getting this beautiful Onyx Alhambra necklace and the overall experience was divine. This is retail therapy at its best.

Kudos Van Cleef Vancouver! You guys ROCK!

Visiting this boutique last week made a very unpleasant impression on me. The salesperson who served me was very arrogant, showed no interest in me as a customer and did not want to talk to me nice. Her name is Elizabeth Yoon. Further, in this store, I feel uncomfortable as a sale person who is constantly coughing next to me (in pandemic time), and has not even left the room. This boutique did not take enough precautions during the pandemic and, as a customer, was very scared. I think that for this boutique such behavior of sellers is unacceptable and I do recommend the services of this store online or in other cities. After visiting the store on Alberny street I had a very unpleasant aftertaste.
I would also advise the boutique manager to better educate his salespeople.

A security guard in a very rude tone said that it is an appointment only shop. Not sure why he couldn’t just explain politely, that they would love to see us some other time and they could call us back to arrange an appointment. Glad that Tiffany’s just round the corner where I got for my wife a nice set from their T collection.
