I come here to see one employee in particular only - to do my business banking and she is amazing, kind, very knowledgeable, accommodating and sincerely personable.
Management at branch 6 has become too sales-focused I’ve noticed. I’ve been a member here for 20+ years and it’s never been the same after the senior members of 30+ years left. I do not appreciate the way management treats their employees. Do. Better. Treat your employees better. Recognize hard work outside of sales and pushing to hit your “targets”
Appreciate that this kind of service is 50% sales and 50% customer rapport.
I want it get my business done. Along hastings it’s become extremely busy and u want have quick and easy customer service. I need to have my banking done asp and I don’t need someone asking if I need to buy another visa. I need my business banking done.

AVOID this place! Supporting a (so called) community bank like Vancity shouldn't come with so many negative experiences. It's sad that big banks provide better care for their clients than you do. I've had two really bad experiences with Vancity which have cost me $$$.
1) The first was a mortgage that expired and it automatically renewed at much higher rate (this is outlined in the fine print of your mortgage) even though there were much better offers and options that may be better suited for the client's needs, but my Vancity mortgage broker never bothered to call me to discuss options or what my goals were. This is evidence of a disconnect in Vancity's mission towards client care. I moved my mortgage away from Vancity and saved a ton with one of the other big banks, who also call me months before my mortgages expire to discuss future goals and recommend the right products and/or lending.
2) I opened a joint account with my wife, which came with a monthly fee. The account was dormant for nearly 2 years (we forgot we had opened it). But instead of following up with us to see why we aren't using the account or whether there's a better product for us, Vancity continued to withdraw the fees for almost 2 YEARS. But where are the fees coming from if the account balance is $0? Well, Vancity has the option to dip into your other accounts! So for two years they had been deducting these fees from my other account (over $210!). Both accounts were barely used so it went unnoticed (my fault for believing that Vancity is vested in protecting my best interest) I tried to claim this amount back but they refused to reimburse any of it. I've wasted three visits to this location to rectify the issue, I finally gave up and closed my account.
Their staff members are friendly and I genuinely believe that they are sad to see clients upset, but Vancity's policies and customer care protocols need an overhaul.
Good luck and remember to lower your expectations when dealing with Vancity.
