Congratulations on my successful journey through the ECE program at Vancouver Career College. It's truly commendable that I am took a bold step by pursuing my education in a foreign country, especially considering the language barrier. It's heartening to know that I felt supported and welcomed by the staff, and that they played a significant role in my personal and professional development.
Feeling like part of a family and receiving encouragement can make a significant difference in one's educational experience.my positive outlook, pride in my achievements, and the acknowledgment of the support you received are wonderful reflections of my dedication and hard work.
It's clear that my higher education experience has not only equipped I with the skills and knowledge needed for MY role as a teacher but has also enriched my personal growth and expanded my social horizons. Wishing I continued success in my teaching career and all m future endeavors!

I am attending Shakeel Khan's class and studying to become a social service worker. Shakeel brings his students on a mission to self reflect through his lectures. Through his teachings, Shakeel takes you through his own life experiences where he shows you how to create peace and direction within your life.

I am a current student attending the Medical laboratory assistant program. I can't imagine this program being taught by anyone but Mojgan. She takes time to explain the material and sets us up for success. She often has previous students coming in to say hello and give her updates on their new career. I highly recommend her as an instructor. Thank you Mojgan for making this a great college experience!

I can honestly say i have never been so excited to learn. I look forward to waking up each day to learn! Shakeel has helped me learn so much about myself! His teaching style is amazing! I definitely recommend this course specifically Shakeel as the teacher!

I have been studying the Medical Lab Assistant course since last April, and we have the perfect instructor. Her name is Mojgan she has passion, knowledge, a warm heart and enthusiasm. She is always student's side even under stressful situations. Honestly, the school is so-so (like any other college), but I strongly recommend this course because she is the main instructor. She is the best I ever met in any school in Canada.

Awful experience. It took me 1 whole year to get them to mark my practicum binder and send my transcript over so I could obtain my ECE license. I lost 4$ an hour for a year because of their lack of professionalism, organization and knowledgeable staff. Not to mention I got no ceremony, no textbooks WHEN THERE WERE HUGE FEES, teachers being switched every 5 minutes. If you want to pay thousands of $ & self teach yourself this is the place. I've been trying to get in contact with someone for months due to my experience. Maybe once they see this review they will reach out. Go somewhere else, that's all I'll say.you'll learn far more and won't loose $$$

I took the foundation construction electrician diploma. They offer a long term (10 months) course to charge you 10 grants and you learn very less than a 3 months couse at BCIT level one which is 1600. Now I'm studing level 2 at BCIT and I have lots of problems because of lack of preknowledg. Time and money wasting.
08 April 2023 3:08
If I could, I'd give 0 stars. Unprofessional, staff is unresponsive, you will pay thousands of dollars for late classes, self-guided classes or no classes at all in the Paralegal program! Extremely disappointed - avoid CDI and VCC if you do not want to waste 4 hours a day being self-taught or receiving below standard and poor education.

Its just a no no from my side. I had a phone appointment with them couple weeks back.while she was talking to me over the phone, she started talking to someone in-person as well. That was so rude and unprofessional. I would never recommend anyone to go to this college.
18 February 2023 23:58
I signed up for advising and all I got was a printout read to me of the program outline and was asked to convince the advisor that I really wanted to do this program. The Advisor couldn't answer any of my questions in detail and offered no options when I talked about needing to work it around working full time. I wouldn't have gone to the length of making an appointment if I know it was going to be a job interview with a rock. If you want students to be serious about your school, then please be compassionate and welcoming when they have questions. It's hard to work towards your goal when schools like this do not give you a chance.

My journey throughout the ECE went so smoothly because of my magnanimous instructor, Mary K. She is such a great personality and a wonderful teacher who knows well how to bring out the best in her students. I wish I could have more stars to show gratitude for her amazing guidance and care.

I have been to many collages and universities and I have never left a review but for the first time I thought I say something because it may help someone else. My experience at the college was extraordinary because of one instructor "Mary K". She made my experience memorable. She is patient, kind, smart, and very good at what she does. If I ever go back for another program again I would want it to be with her over and over again. She made 1 year program feel like 2months. You will loose track of time when she teaches you. I would give her 10 stars if there was more.
The Campus coordinator Mr Fay was also very patient with me. He provided answers to every question I had and made provisions to assist me whenever unavailable. I love the college and I plan on going back for another program.

Graduate in 2010, avoid the school for profit diploma isn't worth the paper it's written on. Especially if you take a student loan out.

Teacher was good, but over priced school for sure. My diploma wasn't even recognized by my industry.

I took the Social Services Worker at this college. I learned so much from this course and the instructors were amazing. Dana was so helpful as she really spoke from the heart, and would go the extra mile to make you succeed. Shakeel had an energy like no other and was very encouraging through my practicum. If I could take this course again I would. I was able to get full time employment and continue to thrive. I just had my annual review through my job with straight A's and love what I do. Thank you for the time of my life VaCC

I really chose wrong college by study at VCC we studied and we graduate and we pay a lot money but they didn’t make any graduate day to the students. They make excuses because of Covid19, all the college in bc make the graduation day but only VCC didn’t they just know how take money from students without this special day that it can make the students happy
It is big mistake to study in this college and pay so much money for nothing
26 August 2022 17:19
I won't recommend the school based on my experience. It is true that you can easily get admitted BUT I hope you all know the consequences of being easy. Moneywise, better go to Vancouver COMMUNITY COLLEGE and/or other public post-secondary schools because they have great reputations when it comes to education than going to these expensive private schools with less quality of instructions.
28 July 2022 21:36
Such an amazing school, I just graduated from the Education assistant program. Some of the best teachers out there, Megan was my teacher and she was nothing but helping and understanding and made sure the class understood the lesson and what to do before moving on. I would definitely consider going to VCC surrey campus:)
25 July 2022 22:48
As a current student absolute joke of a school. The teachers are amazing but would not recommend going here as higher up management/financial departments are all rude and horrid scammers. They didn't put my student loan in right which meant i'm paying out of pocket for a course that i can't afford on my own and they do not accept or offer outside scholarships and bursaries.the only scholarship they offer you is $300 off if you refer a new student to the school and if they did offer anything else there is so much turn over for staff that you talk to a different person every time. No one is any help what so ever and they just hound you. Wish i could give lower than one star and wish I had gone to TRU, KPU, or Capilano
01 July 2022 11:51
Over priced, and some of the teachers are extremely questionable. One of my teachers would put down students and mock them in front of the whole class, as well as read out everyone’s marks one by one to humiliate those behind.

I waited for over a month after I finished my course for my diploma, and they spelled my name wrong (Anne instead of Anna). Can’t seem to get ahold of anyone to fix the issue, just ridiculous as tuition is so expensive. Do not recommend.
03 May 2022 14:06
I would never recommend anyone to go there. There is rude staff, poor management, they try to keep you happy when you take admission and after they don’t listen your issues. This is money making college, please go somewhere else if you want to save money and time.

I recently finished and graduated Social Service Worker Program, and my experience was remarkable with the help and support of my cool instructor; a big shout out to Shakeel Khan! Shakeel's teaching style was astounding. He was knowledgeable, professional, and very creative to make the class enjoyable and entertaining. He incorporated theories and possible actual scenarios at the workplace to be prepared in the field. His passion and dedication in teaching helped me to reach my full potentials. I am privileged and lucky enough to get hired immediately after my practicum. He went out of his way to help me throughout the process. To Shakeel, I thank you for all the knowledge and wisdom you've shared. I had fun while learning, and I will treasure it! I would highly recommend the SSW program, and the instructor was by far the BEST!

I'm grateful for this Institution;everything was great: staff, environment, classroom setting and learning experience was challenging yet it's full of fun. My salute to the instructors of ECE program (especially Neri and Sophie) for their dedication and being approachable in so many ways.through VCC - I found another circle of true and valuable friends.
30 January 2022 17:44
Being a student with a full time job, i could proudly say i actually made it thru with honors. Nonetheless, this school made it feel like its my second home. My teacher Nerissa plus the classmates that made the room lively, joyful, and very welcoming for the evening class was the best decision I ever made. Now, we are a FAMILY!

I recently just graduated from the Social Service Worker Program, I was nervous if I was going to do well, going back to school In general was so nerve racking for me. Having a teacher like Shakeel was an amazing experience! He always went above and beyond in his lectures putting his heart into it, having discussions with the class, not just reading straight from the course outline. He cared about his students and their success, Shak took the time to help assist his students afterwards with career paths.
Shak is an extrodenary teacher with heart and a love for what he teaches, I would definalty ask for him as a teacher if you are enrolling in this class.

I went there for 3 days signed up for the electrician course changed my mind and returned the textbooks everything. They want me to pay 5000 dollars for 3 days total scam they sign you up for student loan than lie to the government and want extra money. Never sign up for student loan with them they will scam you every penny. Talked to the lady in charge and she said the cost might be a little high for going fir just 3 days. Now they screwed up my credit rating and want 5000 dollars for 3 days. This college should be investigated by the government for pulling off scams immediately.

I had started my class with teacher Nerissa. I was a blank student. Got so much support from Nerissa. This course has changed my life, great experience, lots of hands on training I had wonderful experience. I had a lot of fun and shared so many moments in one year. I miss the college my classmates. Under teacher Nerissa’s supervision I was able to make it through. Sorry you had to bare with me Nerissa. Thank you for putting up with me? I used to forget things here and there, but now I am much more organized. I am so glad I choose ECE, it definitely made me a better person and more knowledgeable person. You are the best teacher ️ share so much laughter, costume parties just full of fun.

My teacher was great when I completed my ECE here however a few years later I am attending another school for my post basic and upon requesting for my transcript I was told by admin (forgot her name) her office is at the end of the hallway on the left and she has 4 different titles. Anyways, was told that I would have to email her my information and it would take a few weeks for her to retrieve it as it was archived. I kept emailing and following up with her - No answer. I finally got fed up, went to the school directly, found her and when confronted, she told me she's weeks behind her email, that she won't be going to check the archives for my transcript. I contacted my new school, informed them of the situation and thank goodness understood my situation. If you have graduated, I highly suggest getting a duplicated transcript from VCC to avoid what I went through.

Rubina Raza is a very helpful and very good instructor at the college. My learning experience has been great with her during my course.
09 January 2021 9:00
Wish I could give it 0 stars. Worst experience of my life, this "school" is a scam! Only want your money and there's no real education. The instructors are not helpful whatsoever and use class time to text on their phone and snack all day.one instructor was a bully most of them don't even try to look like they care. Don't waste your time and money here.

It's a great pleasure to be in Vancouver Career College. The instructors are great and knowledgeable. I have learned a lot of stuff in Accounting and Payroll that I could be proud of. I am more confident now with the knowledge that I learned in Vancouver Career College.
23 February 2020 15:23
I have joined Accounting and payroll administration course at VCC in September. I have almost finished the program now i had a good knowledge about payroll even though i don't had accounting background. I have done this because all teaching staff is very supportive and Prof. Joe peter has a vast knowledge about accounting and payroll.he is the best instructor.

Over the past 11 months I have had the pleasure of attending Vancouver Career College. I had such a memorable experience throughout my entire journey from start to finish. The staff, teachers especially Sarah Lum who is an outstanding teacher and Julia Danielson who is an amazing campus director everyone was so very supportive, while wanting nothing but the success of all their students. I have just completed my course at VCC and proud to say I have already recieved employment in my field of studies. Once again thank thank you to everyone in making this one of the best decisions I have ever made with my education!

Rubina instructor was very sweet teacher. During the practicum, she always told me how to improve and develop my skills about course. She always encouraged me, even if I lacked a lot. And she always gave us what she learned from her experiences. She was very supportive while We were studying this course.

I have been working at Vancouver Career College since August and this has been one of the greatest experiences for me. Every day there is a new challenge that we overcome as a team. We are a relatively new team but we are all supporting each other and you can tell that we always have the students' best at heart. The management is approachable and always ready to help. I feel that I have grown not only as a person but in my career as well. Without a good management team this would not have been possible. I am leaning new things every day in a very high paced environment.

I'm currently enrolled in social work foundations program at the surrey campus. I'm grateful for the help from Joan for helping me secure a new job after the last one I had fell through. I'm also grateful for all the help and the pushing and encouraging me from Barb and support.
