If you go with VGC, you need to request Moe as the project manager. He goes above and beyond to help his clients out. Anytime you call, he's there and provides the best service. Moe is knowledgeable and has extensive experience and expertise in the field. If I could give Moe 10 stars, I would. However, the company needs to update their design team. They lack communication, experience, skills, and taste. Phase one of our project was so bad that we hired our own designer for phase two. Another example is they ordered tiles for the powderroom after taking measurements. When the tiles ran out because of their miscalculation, they charged us for additonal tiles, but also snuck in close to $1000 management fee, which could of been avoided if the calculations were correct from the beginning. Lastly be aware of unlicensed trades. We had a plumber who totally screwed up the height of the shower and forgot to use extra bolts for the pipes. Now we have banging pipes and tiles are installed. 10 stars for Mo. 1 star for the company.

We have several lights that stopped working within 4 months that were installed by Vancouver General Contractors. Called them and emailed them several times with no response. I've spent a lot of money on renovations with them and am very disappointed with the unprofessionalism of the company. I do not recommend their services to anyone. On top of ignoring my messages and phone calls, they were late with completion and grossly over budget.

My wife and I worked with Sal, Pardis, and Mo to renovate our 2 bathrooms, and we couldn't be happier with the final product. From start to finish, the VGC team was super helpful, prompt with responding, and professional in handling all of our requests. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to do renovations.

We contracted Vancouver General Contractors for the renovation of our kitchen. Overall, we are very pleased with the final outcome. Mahsa did a great job incorporating our various ideas into a beautiful kitchen design. Mo, who was our project manager, was very effective in coordinating and communicating with the various subtrades and made himself readily available to deal with any concerns which arose in a professional fashion.

Mohamad was pretty helpful and project went smoothly as expected. Communication went well, never had any trouble.

Overall, I'm pleased with how the job was done.

We engaged in a design with VGC. Sal and Tracy had guided us through the process and provided 3 distinct options. The process was seamless and professional. I would highly recommend anyone doing a renovation project to use VGC for a turn key solution

Almost on time, always polite, agree to fix any issue, promising high quality, but….
Demolition 100% great. Pay extra for removal, but the removal fees was build into the total before the project started.
Electrical 100% great. Plumbing was 100% great.
Tiling job has very-very low craftsmanship. Tile is not evenly laid, was cut with hand grinder by hand (apartment and everything else is supper dusty) no straight lines when it was split. For 200sf was forced to purchase 4 time more then needed. Got some return and paid for restocking. Restocking bill feels, like I asked them to purchase 4 times more tiles and it was my miss-calculation, and restocking is my problem. So 3/4 of the tiles was for cutting small peace’s.
I have to redo sealing in living room, hallway and sealing in bathroom. Reseal with non cracking material bathroom, all cracked already.
Can provide pictures, and conversations.
Overpriced underdelivered service. VGC high quality is = to my very low, low quality. I’m very easy to pleased.
Stay away if you value your time and $.
Feels like a polite highway robbery!

6 years later and still replacing their horrendous work but also finding out that they charged us double on most things. No wonder the budget tripled. Use at your own peril.

Response update: I was actually more talking about charging us 20k for a mechanical room and then pressuring trades to do it for 10k and then pocketing the difference. Ring a bell, Hussein? Funny how the truth eventually comes out.

Mo is one of those project managers who execute projects with his mind and heart on it. He always makes sure everything is done in a timely manner. He's concerned about the safety of his team and the satisfaction of his clients. I know him from my building (workplace) where he just completed a project. I highly recommend him.
