My 2016 MacBook Pro is unable to power on so I found Chung. I do go to other places and mainboard replacement with a high price is the only option. Chung helped me fix the board problem very quickly at a much lower price and my laptop works perfectly right now. He's such an expert. Thank you so much!

Remarkably, he managed to fit my appointment the very next day as I was in a rush and by chance he had a compatible replacement screen on hand, which had a barely noticeable dead pixel—an honest disclosure on his part, which also afforded me substantial savings. Called but nobody picked up, messaged no reply, sent quote request on website no answer for a week.

I want to call to resolve an issues but my phone number had been blocked and none one of my phone call had been picked up from yesterday after I state the issues. I kindly request a phone call to resolve the issues instead of be blocked or could not reach out. I just want people to know that your call might be blocked later and be careful with the part quality. Blocking my review or call won’t help.

And thank you for the $350 with a poor quality of screen which cause me could not trade in my laptop also in Apple later. Cost more than just repair at Apple. Caused $800 lost（$350 repair fees +499 which I could not trade in now).

I paid $350 for my MacBook screen repair, but it cracked yesterday while using the laptop as I normally do, not for a pressure test. Interestingly, when I applied the same pressure at Best Buy and Apple stores, the screen didn't crack (the original screen). Even though I know for $350 paying the quality of the screen will not be the same as the original one. But I am pretty upset how fragile the fragile new screen is. The warranty explanation came after I reported this problem, not during the initial repair or before sending the text today. Unfortunately, I never been informed that the new screen could be more fragile than the previous one. I just hope to have a phone call to address this situation, as anyone in my position would feel the same frustration after paying $350 for a repair that broke again during regular use and paying 300+ for this quality of screen. If isn't resolved, I will have to pay an additional $300+ or $600+ to fix the same issue.

If I paid for $ 150 or something for this kind of fragile screen i would say nothing but $350 for this quality of screen still disappointed me and I do not know why I tried to call to resolve this but my phone number will be blocked out.

Just for others maybe check the quality of the part been replaced and noticed your phone call could be blocked out after you try to reach out later. Unfortunately I been told nothing when I picked up my computer.

Chung is the man. I broke the audio output jack on my headphone amp/DAC, and he fixed it not even knowing what it was at first, since he does mostly laptop repairs. Although I had to take it back for one more minor adjustment after the fix, he refunded me half of the repair cost for my trouble. It wasnt really trouble at all. I wasnt expecting that nor did I ask for it! He's very reasonable and trustworthy. Highly recommended!

I cracked my MacBook air monitor (too easy to break.) last weekend. I went to Apple Store, but they were trying to charge me 650 for the repair. (while I bought this laptop just 1.1K from an educational program). I decided to find somewhere else to fix my laptop. Then, I found Mac computer repair from Google. I contacted Chung on WhatsApp, he replied and sent me the quote promptly. My monitor also got fixed by him within 2 days.

I reached out to Chung for a dead charging port on a 2017 Macbook. Before contacting Chung, I went to the Apple Store and after the Apple employee had done multiple 'tests', I was told the only option was to pay 691$+tx for a logic board replacement.

I wrote to Chung by email to inquire about the issue, the cost and the turnaround time. Within half an hour, I received a detailed reply with all the options that were available to me.

I brought my macbook to his place and was told a turnaround time of 3 days. However, after a few hours, I received a reply from his part telling me he had identified the problem and offered me another alternative. It turns out that my macbook charger was fried as well as 1 of 2 ports, but the Apple employee that had done 'tests' had never tested the functional port with a different charger.

The cost was extremely reasonable (20$ for diagnostics and 25$ for a used original Macbook charger) and I was able to retrieve my macbook the same day I dropped it off.

Chung was very friendly and took his time to answer all my questions. Would highly recommend to check him out before deciding to spend a fortune to replace something that could be fixed!

The service was excellent! I thought my keyboard had water damage, but it ended up just being the trackpad for my MacBook Pro. It was fixed within a half an hour at a price less than the original quote. I'm really happy I found this place!

(October 12,2021: I wanted to add an update to my initial post as I am blown away by Vancouver MacBook Repair. I had an issue with the new battery being slow to charge. Chung was very helpful. We ran a diagnostic and after a few suggestions it is now working well. Chung continued to reach out and follow up two more times after this to ensure it was working. Excellent customer service. Would not hesitate to recommend Chung.)

Very professional and easy to deal with in terms of communication and drop-off/pick-up, but even more impressive was that he was able to fix an issue with my laptop that no other repair shop (or even Apple themselves) would fix. I was told by Apple there was nothing that could be done, that my MacBook was deemed obsolete (mid 2012 MBPR) … yet after speaking with Vancouver MacBook Repair he assured me he has dealt with and fixed my exact issue several times and told me to drop off the MacBook. Picked it up a couple days later and the machine is running as good as new with the issue solved. He also swapped out my old and tired battery for a very fair price. I am happy honest third-party repair shops like this exist and that I didn’t have to recycle and re-buy my computer and was able to have it fixed! My MacBook broke and I took it to a repair shop. The next day, they told me to go to the Apple Store because there was a problem with the motherboard, and then asked for the lowest price of 30 dollars because they couldn't fix it. And if I don't like the Apple Store, they'll introduce me to another place. I went to the place I was introduced to, and it went out of business. I searched the internet again and came here. Chung found the problem on the spot and replaced the screen. 1 hour for fixing and I paid $450 and was quite satisfied with his kindness. About two hours after I got home, he called me and he said There is no major problem with my screen and the repair has been completed, but he said that he could replace it with the original screen, and if so, they would give me a refund of 225 dollars. So I replaced it with my original screen and got a refund of $225. So I give 5 stars. What do you think?

Chung was phenomenal. Very professional. I originally thought my mac needed a new screen, but when we found out it was a motherboard issue, Chung was able to quickly adapt and was super flexible with his services. Very reasonable pricing as well. 10/10 recommend! Will be going back to Chung for sure in the future!

Very professional and fast service. There was an error while I was upgrading a new IOS and it kinda got stuck in the middle of the upgrading. Phoned Apple Support and they said I basically had to wipe out and reset the computer because I completely forgot to back up (which I now have learned my lesson) the computer. So I called Vancouver MacBook Repair around 830 that night, Chung patiently walked me through how I could try to do a few things on my own but I decided to let him fix my MacBook for me. Chung is a very honest and kind person. He wants everyone to come and sit in as he goes through your computer together with you to make sure you understand what went wrong and understand the pricing for the parts needing replacement! I spilled tea all over my laptop and was sure it was done for. 60$ later and I’m all set!

It was a great experience meeting a professional such as Chung. My kid spilt water all over his MacBook keyboard and fried the keyboard and trackpad back in Feb 2021 and was looking around for fixes but after talking to a few stores nearby I didn't feel comfortable as it seems they were trying to rip me off. So I happened to see Chung's repair shop, read the reviews and found that he is local, works out of his house and honest.according to the feedbacks. So I took a shot and called but realized he was off for an unknown period of time. I waited patiently for 4 months until he reopened again and boy was I happy to do so. He was able to accurately diagnose the situation and work through the fixes that he will be doing at a reasonable price. Overall, I'm happy with his work and generally think that he is a good and honest individual.

Very impressive service by this MacBook repair specialist and definitely should be the first point of contact for anyone with MacBook issues no longer supported by the Apple store. This case involved a MacBook pro 2011 early model where the boot process never completes. It's a common problem experienced for the 3rd time in the 10 years of ownership. 3 hour turn around time on a Sunday afternoon at a very fair and competitive price that was more affordable than other shops. Service was fast friendly and professional while also very responsive to customer inquiries. Being located just 10 min away by car was an added bonus. Almost ended up buying a used one from someone else on Craigslist to do a hard drive swap but that didn't work out and it would have cost more than this repair. Thanks again for the speedy service!

I got my Macbook pro repaired. I had water damaged keyboard. I was impressed on how much effort he put in to fix my issue. He was very professional, letting me know all the details of what he thinks is the issue and what needs to be done. Very fast on communication. Replaced my cracked MacBook screen for over 30% less than other repair shops. Replaced with a used screen but he sources parts that are very good quality. Screen is now working like new and everything works just like new! Very fairly priced. Highly recommended.

Chung was amazing! Very flexible, patient and honest when explaining my options for a new battery needed for my MacBook (second hand or after market battery with all the specs of both). I delivered my MacBook to him and he replaced the battery in less than an hour, whilst I stayed in the area. I was leaving the country so needed the repair done asap. I brought in my MBP 15" 2015 and had Chung replace the aging battery, redo the thermal paste and replace my right speaker which was blown. The service was done promptly and the pricing was awesome.

Clearly this guy is in some kinda of a wonderland. He thinks he can charge what ever he feels like. He will give random quote and then bump it up to double or triple. Some one with basic knowledge would know how much to charge. Dude you are not even an authorised apple dealer and you want to charge people more than what apple would what a joke. I wish you best of luck. I am happy to take my business somewhere else.

Wanted to get a quote for touch Bar replacement for my Mac book. I was quoted $130 for a it. Soon the owner finds out that Apple would charge $500 to replace the entire front including the keyboard and gets greedy. Then he decides to text me saying that I will charge $250 just for the Touch Bar, but he will not replace the entire key board + Touch Bar as apple would do. Clearly he does not what he is doing giving random quotes. So wants to get paid more than apple and do a half the job which later will cause issues. I am sure he would be ripping off others. So ya just a heads up get multiple quotes from other Mac repair shop.

I gave my dead MacBook Pro to Chung to see if he could repair it. It had no sound and would only turn on 1 out of 10 times. I took it to the service department at London drugs and they told me it was the motherboard and would cost more than the MacBook was worth. I didn’t like their answer so I reached out to Chung. He diagnosed it and found out that there was corrosion on one of the audio wires. He worked his magic and it corrected the problem. It starts and operates excellent.

Chung did an awesome job. My Mac Pro screen was flickering. He is so transparent showing us the part he gona used for replacement.done within in 35 mins. I can totally feel he is so confident for his skills. Definitely highly recommended.

Within 3 hours from the initial contact, the repair was complete and my laptop worked again. He's very nice, professional, and felt safe to see during COVID.

I had some issues with a used MacBook Pro so I decided to just throw out some questions on a Marketplace add. He replied to every question I had regardless weather I was buying from him or needed his services. I ended up needing a new wifi card and he right away let me know he had one and with a very reasonable price. He diagnosed the issue right away and when I had him install the new card it took him no more than 5 minutes. Anyways. It was a pleasure to meet him and I won’t hesitate for a second if I need some help. I will refer anyone I can.

I contacted a few places one night to fix my mac. I needed a screen replacement done. Vancouver MacBook Repair was the first to respond. We ended up setting a time for the repair. He was done pretty quick and had fair prices. He was also nice to have a conversation with. Don't hesistate to contact Vancouver MacBook Repair if you need some work done. Also, I want to point out, the other places I contacted, either never responded or couldn't help me.

Great value, very professional. I had received a quote from him within the day, and had the computer fixed well within his given timeline. Was wary initially that there would be no warranty given the size of the business, but was pleasantly surprised to hear a 90-day warranty was included.
