Ripped off by this company. A cab driver took prepayment from me a concerned friend sending a semi intoxicated person home. Then when they arrived were charged again.the cab driver heard me tell my friend to not pay after arriving but the driver proceeded to insist he pay. This is unacceptable. Uber would have been safer

These guys drive 9 hours a day and still have a good attitude. Had a great conversation with my driver and he arrived earlier then the estimated time.

Reserved for a 2: 30 pick up time since it was niece's wedding. Allowed plenty of time to get there 30 minutes early. Called and repeatedly said 15 to 20 minutes away. 3: 00 called Yellow taxi and arrived 10 minutes later. Still late for wedding but Yellow Yaxi saved us.

As a tourist used this service 3 times in 3 days. Calls were easy, pickup fast. Friendly drivers. Destination oriented. Fair prices.

Prebooked a van taxi for family and I going to airport. Short distance about 4km. Was given an estimate of about $15, which was a fair estimate and what I thought it would be.
Taxi arrived about 20 minutes late. Driver was friendly. While enroute prior to arrival at YVR, just west of Tenpleton I noticed taxi had no visible taxi meter. It only had his little GPS screen. I asked the driver the cost. He said it was $30 because it is a van taxi.
This was double the estimate for my prebooked van taxi and there was no traffic delay enroute until arrival at base of departures on ramp at terminal.
I don't feel this is good business practice to double the rate and estimate on a pre booked van without any traffic delays, at the last minute. I felt I was taken advantage of.
I wrote to the company via their app and their email the next day to express my concern (almost a month now), and to this day have not received a reply from them.

Monday 10, around 9 o'clock at the airport This guy was driving like crazy and super fast and aggressive, he Blocked my line 2 times. And, he did it another time to other vehicle, even with a passenger inside. He shouldn't be driving taxis. His Licence plate is ND6059

My partner and I had just gotten back into town after a trip. We live downtown and could have walked but we had a lot of luggage with us so we decided to get a cab. We politely approached one of the cabs that was parked along the side of the street outside the ship terminal and the driver simply told us (without even rolling his window down) that he would not drive us to our destination. My advice would be to just get an uber and don't even waste your time with this company. Was

I got a ride home from Vancouver Taxi at 3: 30 a.m. Once home, I realized I had lost my brand new expensive iPhone. The next day after checking at the bar I had been at (they didn't have it) I thought I would check the taxi company. I couldn't remember what taxi company I had used but I used the "find my iPhone" feature and sure enough it was at Vancouver Taxi headquarters on Clark. I rolled down there and my driver of the night before happened to be at the lot. He recognized me and told me which dispatcher he had given it to. The dispatcher, I assume recognizing how valuable it was, had set it aside from the regular lost and found drawer, and I got my iPhone back the next day! Thanks for taking care of my valuable property Vancouver Taxi!

Taxi estimate was 5-10 minutes away. I waited 35 minutes and still no taxi. I called again and the operator said “5 minutes away. ” So, I waited another 25 minutes before I eventually gave up and called another taxi company. Absolutely brutal. Never calling them again

Totally unreliable! I booked a van a few hours in advance to get to the airport and at the time it was due I called and they said it was another 15 minutes. Then after the 15 minutes they called and said they didn't have a van available after all. As a result I had to rush order a van from another taxi company. I'll never use these guys again!

Gotta say prefer using this city's Taxi service as all their drivers I've had over past 30yrs are personable, friendly & engaging. Alas same cannot be stated of other travel providers.

Just got hung up on because the operator was too lazy to explain why their app has a “pay with account number” feature but you can’t actually use it. I was super nice about it and we only spoke for a total of about 30 seconds so there was no reason to hang up on me. I will never use their services!

Reached out to owners: nothing was investigated and no response! Don't book with them!

Spoke to a female customer service representative. She was very rude, sounded very fed up with her job and then immediately hung up after she complained about everything. The only thing I really said was to call for a taxi at xxx location and that it was 32°C so I hope it doesn’t take too long. She didn’t want to help me and stopped picking up the phone the next time I tried to call…I think there’s no need for so much aggression when all I want is get a taxi, I didn’t say anything remotely close to being rude.

Orange Vancouver Taxi V55 road rage taxi driver - complete meltdown at 4: 45 July 22 on Dunsmuir and Cambie. Overly, visibly and verbally screaming at another driver whilst driving radically to keep up with the other driver who by the way, had out of province plates on their vehicle. This was clearly an overreaction by Vancouver Taxi. Called dispatch and the woman just defended the driver.

3: 30 AM, picked up from Robson/Seymour to YVR.

Very polite driver, I guess we lucked out as other reviews were not the greatest.
We tried to book Uber but it was such an early flight so we could not take one. We were so pleased that driver was waiting for us by the main entrance, took our luggage to the trunk, and drove safely. I really think that taxi drivers are hit and miss. Our driver made our trip very pleasant one at the end of our stay in Vancouver. (I wish I could have asked him name, because this good credit should be going to him️)

P. S. I was impressed that driver was wearing nice dress shirt. I don’t get to see that often in Canada

I called for a cab and my kids were making a lot of noise and without letting me talk the operator yelled at me toy shut them up and hung up on me. I was like WHAT? PLEASE GUYS DON’T USE VANCOUVER CAB! USE UBBER or any other company! I had to use this company because my car was in the shop and I had the voucher. I WILL NEVER USE IT AGAIN!

Hands down the most trustworthy taxi company in the city. I left a bag of high value in the taxi on a busy Saturday night and the team did everything in their power to get it back to me. The dispatcher Dhruv is honest and incredible at his job - he went out of his way to make sure my bag was returned to the right person and with every single item untouched. Shout out to Sukh who returned my belongings within a timely and professional manner. A life long customer has just been gained and I will be recommending this company to all of my friends. Thank you Vancouver Taxi!

On time-ish, clean and friendly. The dispatch leaves much to be desired. They always seem to be in a perpetual state of irritation and it always sounds like the phone call is connected to a tin can and a string.

Booked a taxi over the phone. I was called by the driver shortly thereafter to confirm where I was going but the driver abruptly hung up on me. 45 minutes after booking the taxi I received a text message saying the ride has been completed despite the fact the driver had never shown up.

Booked 40 minutes in advance, call 10 minutes after they are supposed to pick up to be told no cab has picked up the call and to call someone else. Will not use again. Do not suggest.go use Yellow Cab instead.

Took cab 221- driver don't recognize where burquitlam is and yet reluctlant to fire up their GPS. Played Punjabi music the whole way without taking the passenger into consideration at all. When the bill comes to $70 the driver refused to take credit cards and demanded cash, and cant even write down a receipt properly.

I would also like to give only two stars because service quality is worse than ever. In a time I booked a cab via this “Vancouver Taxi”, and a driver (male) who took me and making telephone call at before I were pick up and during the trip. During the moment of payment checkout, driver struggled for the tips. He asked “You pay by card? Give me your card please, ” and he took out the card reader machine. I thought he would just put the amount shown on the meter and I can do the tips so I just passed my card to the driver. Then he just made few clicks on the card reader and trying to tap my card without consent, but luckily my card tap function disabled at that time so did not went through. So he said that “try insert card and tell me PIN number please”. I said that you can give me the machine then I can type, you have no rights to know my password. And after he passed me the machine I just saw that roughly 40% of tips apply to the trip fares? Then I pressed that red cancellation button and said to driver “please try to put the amount shown on meter, so I can pay it with tips accordingly. ” And he asked “how much tips you wanna put? ” I said “you give me the machine and I will decide”. Then he said “You can tell me now. ” I said “if you keep doing like that, it’s not going to work. ” Initially I thought it was fine to just give 20% to the trip, but at this moment which that driver was weirdly struggled on this issue thus fewer tips apply for courtesy. After the transaction processed successfully, I asked for a receipt, he said that sorry i forgot to put paper in. I can see many reviews here reply by the taxi company, and I could not understand why you company always shirk the issue that you are responsible for, which you shall train your drivers what is something that can and can’t do, which not any body else’s problem, neither the customers. I dont know if the company admin changes or something else change, but i do not see any improvements that [Vancouver Taxi] has made, as it is not like this bad and worse before and crazily blame others. Just dont use excuse and make real improvements, otherwise what is the reason that we have to use your service instead of Uber or Lyft? Vancouver Taxi is just slightly better than Yellow Cab, but does not means its like champion.

For those who give the higher rating, I am not sure if you are paid by the taxi company or not. Just don't understand why many driver attempt to force passenger to pay cash, even during the pandemic and over night? Probably someone will argue that POS machine has technical difficulty. Ohh, then why don't change/repair/replace it? Or perhaps just want cash to avoid more commission share and tax paying? That's understandable, but we the customers have rights to choose, isn't it? Taxi company website and their telephone introduction and taxi vehicle's windows clearly stated there accept all major credit and debit cards even Apple Pay. One time I experience this, which the driver seems obviously intentionally turn off the POS machine and said you have to pay cash or I will drive you to nearest ATM and you take cash. Please call taxi company if you are facing the same case, if nobody take calls to resolve conflict (or they don't want), call the Police.

UPDATES:

You clearly know and everyone may clearly know that Vancouver Taxi is not equal to Taxi Companies in Vancouver (Metro Vancouver). Nobody will named Yellow Cab or Royal Taxi as Vancouver Taxi. Shirk responsibility is not works, but only make it worse.

These drivers are hit and miss as well as the operators who answer the phones. Some are ok and most are rude and judgmental.so if you're looking to have a non stressful day do not call a cab in vancouver

Horrible service! When I called and inquired how long a taxi would be to pick me up the operator told me to take the bus and hung up on me. I'm soooooooooo happy that uber and Lyft are here!

My reply to their lame reply is that I'm thankful for Uber and Lyft I'll never have to endure the HORRIBLE service of a taxi again Being proud of the ill treatment towards patrons and the lack of good customer service says a lot about a company.

I'll gonna put zero if there's an option. The worst customer service I received so far by a taxi dispatcher.
I've been receiving a very poor, unprofessional and rude behavior of a dispatcher. I booked a cab yesterday to a morning dispatcher around 7: 55am, but I called back right away, just seconds after my first call to make it a schedule pick-up instead, and the dispatcher wasn't that helpful and flexible and he's been annoyed immediately lecturing me not to do that, (what can't we change any booking?) After 5mins.taxi arrived (around 8am) and he called us, I say sorry to taxi driver that we called already the dispatcher to make it a schedule pick-up at 8: 15, but the driver informed me that he will wait for me instead, without knowing that the dispatcher, dispatched another cab, which he suppose to cancel the first one.
Today I called again to booked a schedule pick up at 8: 15am, but same dispatcher (which I forgot to get his name), immediately blaming me what happened yesterday, he was again very rude and unprofessional dealing with his customer which is very frustrating as a caller. He seems not happy what he's doing and irresponsible for his mistake. He keep on talking and talking his side without properly listening to other side, he just shut-up when I told him ok I gonna call other taxi then, but for the rest of our conversation he didn't even apologize for his rude behavior that he might not aware of.
This might be my last call to this taxi service.

My wife and I landed decided to take a cab home from YVR to Langley (Uber wasn’t able to locate a driver late nights) everything went well when we first got in the cab. During our ride back, our driver randomly decided to pull over to side of the road in a sketchy dark area with no lights / cars on the road and looked back at us and said I’ll be back I have to go pee. Decided to leave us in the cab while he goes in the bushes. Definitely a sanitary concern, didn’t bother asking him to unload our bags once we got to our destination, plus at one point I felt like it was a setup to get robbed.

Ran a red, cut me off, tried turning left, except I was out so far and he was turning from a one way street, so he ended up getting stuck and unable to finish his turn. The resulting traffic jam caused by this driver's selfish behavior caused over four blocks of traffic through Gastown and required a police response in order to sort out.

I did not know that vancouver taxi had drivers that deliver uber eats at the same time as the drive their cab. Vancouver taxi v46 was my uber eats driver. I ordered from subway it took 1.5 hrs to receive it. With the time for delivery constantly changing. My order was cold even though there was grill marks.oh and they driver asked me to come to the street when i specifically told them instructions to come to my back door. When I met him, he was in the middle of the street with his hazards on. Safety hazard on the road.
And food safe hazard with my food.
Due to this i will never order off uber eats again and I will never use Vancouver taxi.
Me and my partner have been sick all day. And we had to threaten uber eats with health violations to get our full refund back.

I ordered off uber eats using subway and there was a hair in my wrap. And the rest of the service was a joke. Especially during covid.
I will be sharing this with everyone we know. As I wish no one this unpleasant experience.

If I could give NO STARS, I would! I asked to go to a business on POWELL STREET that was closing at 4pm. I got in the cab at 315pm. According to my phone's GPS, I should have reached them in 8 minutes by cab. The cabbie clearly had no interest in providing the service. He drove me into YALETOWN despite my repeated requests for him to turn around. He refused to acknowledge me at all, driving faster and faster. I asked him three times to let me out of the cab but he would not slow down. I was terrified I was being kidnapped. I screamed at him that I was calling the police and threw open the cab door to force him to stop.
I never reached my destination in time.

Absolutely terrible service. Taxi #V202 has some intense anger issues and takes it out on the road. Almost crashed into another car because of a traffic debate. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY/THIS DRIVER.

Param was exceeded my expectations in transporting my wheelchair bound wife to a medical appointment. He was timely, polite, and a safe driver. I will never use Yellow Cabs again as their services left very much to be desired.

Booked at taxi at 545 for 630 and they said they would pick me up. They call me at 630 to tell me that there are no taxis. I know theres a pandemic right now but calling earlier would be nice so I wouldnt miss my flight

Black top checker cabs bumped me in front of everyone and were able to rescue me at the last minute
