Had a bad experience with this company. The whole feeling that I got from the staff is that all they care is your money, nothing matters.

I have bought Nissan Juke 2014 for almost 13000 Cad. After two days Engine Check Soon light appeared. I brought the car to the mechanic and after full car check he has provided me with a report which showed that there is a Turbocharger malfunction. The charges of repairing or replacing are extremely high. I notified Variety Auto, and they sent me to their own mechanic. After few attempts to confirm the issue, their mechanic was unable to say something clear except “I would recommend you to change the car”. I was trying to find peaceful solution, but dealer just offer me to trade the car for 9300 Cad and their manager (or even owner) was quite rude and aggressive during our communication trying to put the blame on me as a customer. As a result, I lost my money and time. I would strongly NOT RECOMMEND buying any car here. Those guys as licensed dealer must provide customer with the full information about vehicle condition but they did not. I have already filed a complaint to the Vehicle Sales Authority of BC. If someone suffered because of the same issue don’t hesitate to file a complaint as well. If someone wants to join me to start a collective action, please contact me on FB (I have a lawyer who is ready to help).

Our family is growing from 4 to 6 (expecting twins!) and we were in desperate need of a van. Variety helped us so much to find a van in our price range so we can better support our family. They were very helpful!

I had a great experience buying from Variety Auto Sales. Eric was very upfront and honest about the car because I live 8 hours away. He described and sent pictures of all the defects. After several airplane cancellations due to fog, I finally drove to Vancouver from Tofino and bought the car on Sunday.

I'm so happy with Matt and all the staff who helped me get the truck I've been looking for. He made trading in my car a very easy and fair transition. A different dealer in Vancouver told me there was no way he could give me that kind of a deal. Matt was very low pressure and super kind and helpful. What seemed like too much work, he jumped into doing.

I am not a fan of the entire car purchasing process.in fact I have generated the purchase of all my corporate and personal car/truck purchases over the past 20+ years online. It still shocks me about the "old school" technics and tactics that many car dealers.especially used car dealers still employ!
With Variety, I started the process online with Auto Trader and continued the negotiations mainly via text/email. Matt and Eric made what I consider a painful process bearable.still painful but bearable. I really like and appreciate their no nonsense approach.

Reading the reviews, I detect a common issue which this "dealer" has turned into an easy way to make $$. They obviously buy used vehicles which are riddled with mechanical issues cheap, get them "repaired" so they can survive the test drive and close the sale by mis-representing (lying) about the 28 point mechanical rigerous inspection they have their "expert mechanic" perform to ensure all is okay. Now am I qualified to make "allegations" like this? You bet I am: Paid $10,900 for my daughters first car, 2007 Mini Cooper. Looked good, drove okay on the 3km test drive. 2 days after we got it home it sounded like a tractor when started. I spend $590 to have a REAL mechanic go over it. The conclusion from this mechanic AND Mini Cooper in Vancouver was the same: Engine was in such a poor condition that only a replacement would fix it. They also told me that the noise from the failed timing chain and cylinder goes away if the car has been running for 30-45 minutes. WELL when we saw the car at this dealer the engine was on ;). We should start a club or perhaps file a group lawsuit, currently it appears they have atleast 1 customer a month which they scam

I just purchased my first (and electric) vehicle from Variety Auto Sales. Omar is incredibly kind, understanding, patient, and friendly, and just like some other reviewers have mentioned, he does not push or force you in order to make a sale. Was looking for a used car. Talked with two people from variety auto sales. Omar and Mo.both very nice people and not pushy and didn’t talked our ear off about the car. Just let us look at the vehicle and answered questions. Gave information when asked. Very respectable to us. We ended up buying my daughters first car from them! Great experience.

It was a really quick process to get into a car and go for a test drive. Talking with Omar was a great experience. Omar was very knowledgeable on the vehicles and knew about long term care for cars.

Rip Offs!
I bought a Dodge Grand Caravan.
So many problems️
$1400 tune-up, $2000 brakes, callipers, wrong size tires. Three sets of keys don't fit the keyhole on the driver's door.
Scammers! They didn't fix anything, even though I had a warranty! I took it to a mechanic, and they said it is not worth fixing!

Friendly folks here at Variety Auto Sales. No problem with doing a solo test drive of the vehicle I purchased later the same day. Omar was very informative on the specifics and features without being pushy. For sure the cars here are priced to sell, as there were a lot of customers visiting, even though the weather was not good.

Omar was extremely kind and helpful throughout the entire trade in process. From the test drive to document signing, he ensured I felt comfortable with the sale. I would recommend Variety Auto Sales to anyone looking for a vehicle upgrade or trade in opportunity.

I had searched lots of online sites and auto sells to find my favorite car, for last move, my brother advised me to check the variety auto sale, they were very nice, giving very good hints, trustable, responsible, professional and helpful to find my lovely car. Bought the car today. Guys were very friendly, the office is organized and makes you feel comfortable to have a deal.

I bought my car there last week and love it. Everything is very straight forward, and seems very trustworthy, paperwork is done easy and efficient and they work with your individual concerns like discounts, warranty extension, winter tires, etc. Nobody was pushing for a sale but very helpful. Its great being taken serious as a women.
Overall great experience, I will come back here if I want to change my car again (which won't be soon)

Great experience. Car was exactly as pictured. Experience was hassle free and I was driving a car that I love off the lot in under an hour. I did a lot of research and found the cars well priced and the team at variety was super friendly and terrific to deal with.

We were allowed the freedom to check out all the cars we wanted to see without being "hounded" by a salesperson.when it was time to ask questions, they were readily available. ALL the cars and trucks on the lot are the clean and ready to be driven! Great care has been taken to be sure you have a good test drive experience. The documentation process is very thorough and complete. I had no hesitation at all buying my Yaris there this past weekend! The office are clean and welcoming. I'd recommend these guys hands-down over many many other places.

Didn’t even make it to the place, dude answers doesn’t introduce himself just says “what do you want” all in a huff, knew absolutely nothing about cars and couldn’t help me literally just kept saying to check the ad, rude and snarky for the most part too whenever I asked a single question and hung up the second I called him out. So variety auto is the place you go for 0 professionalism, awful cars, no car knowledge, people who think they can get away with sly stuff and honestly just rude people.

Got a vehicle which had several problems like engine mounting, faulty exhaust, even headlights went off although they sent it to mechanic after test drive. 1 hour after purchasing I called and said hey I thought you guys fixed the headlights but it’s not working and the person replied it’s cheap you can fix it yourself, he really didn’t care anymore after selling.

Great deal and above and beyond service. Would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle

I filled their form Sat, sent docs Sun and I got approval Mon for financing on the car I liked it. The following day, Tues I stopped by the shop to finalize the sale, and they sold the car without call me to asked or advised me that someone else was interested in the same car.
Very unprofessional behaviour

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. The salesman was so arrogant and rude and definitely not how you handle sales at all. First I was told that the car I was coming to look at had no issues at all and no cosmetic damage. I get there and the car was an absolute wreck and had dents and scratches all over it and all he could keep saying was “it’s a 2005 what do you expect”. Learn how to treat customers and maybe you will keep some.

Matt knew what I needed, (that's all I needed to hear)! So, that's what we test drove, (even the baby loved it)! I am so happy with my new wheels!

They got great deals; they do what they can, to make you happy, (their hospitality was AMAZING)!

Back in September we were badly in need of a new vehicle as our car was starting to break down on us and due to extreme undercarriage rust (beware of buying back East cars) repairs would have been impossible.

Matt made our buying experience pleasurable. He answered our questions, didn't pressure us, listened to what we were looking for and let us look around in peace. He cut us a deal that we were happy with and got a 6-month warranty with it too. There was a little error with the paperwork which we noticed when we got home and he dealt with it promptly.

Bobby was very nice & helpful as well.

We've had our car for 3 months now and we are exceedingly pleased with our procurement.

I would staunchly endorse this place to car shoppers!

My wife and I went in to look for an suv. Matt came out to help us. So we looked T approx 5-6 of them. Matt has complete knowledge of all the ones we were looking at. Have to say we drove out with a Santa Fe at a great price. Me being a business owner I know how reviews help or not. But I have to say we felt respected by Matt who listened and made suggestions based on what we were looking for and wanted. He was not pushy or annoying like most other car salesmen. I’d have to say waiting to sign the paperwork I watched three other cars being sold. But all us buyers were not just left sitting there, they were always around asking if we wanted coffee and such. These guys are great and will listen to what you want and need. They didn’t once try to up sell us on another vehicle. Just let us decide with no tactics. Highly recommend at the very least going to check out what they have on the lot. Once you meet Matt or one of the other guys you will be at easy and be a life time buyer. Kudos to the variety auto sales team.

This place has absolutly awful customer experience. From my very first phone call they seemed shady right off the bat.i called off a post from craigslist only to get a very rude employee.i asked about a carfax and he repetedly denied the fact i needed one for my decision making process.eventually telling me if i want one i can go buy it myself.okay, il go buy the same car elsewhere.ps.from reading the other comments, i would stongly adise you avoid this dealership, it looks like they are quite negligable.

This is a very shady place to buy vehicle.
The manager is a clown making fool out of him self.
I bought a vehicle from them and the next day the car started overheating. I contacted the manager, and he said it's not he's problem anymore.

Would not recommend buying a vehicle from them, even you do make sure to check it with your mechanic.

Also most of the positive reviews are in here are fake, the manager bought fake reviews to keep scamming people.

Brought some friends from Australia to look at cars. They found one here and were treated well. The car had a problem with four wheel drive not working properly. We took it back, my friends asked for and received a full refund with no hassle from the dealership. It was done very professionally and with minimum fuss. I would recommend them, but do your homework on the cars before you buy.

Amazing service. They helped me find a car that helped me fit my needs. I could tell this company was genuine and honest. Never pressured me into anything. So happy with my purchase of the 2009 Toyota Corolla! I would use this company again 100 percent. Thank you Mike and Mo!

I recently purchased a used Toyota from Variety Auto Sales from Ivan. The business had great communication and Ivan did an excellent job of answering my questions while I was looking over/test-driving the car. Also, excellent post-sale communication as well by setting me up with a maintenance shop for any on-going jobs.

Definitely would recommend Variety Auto and Ivan to anyone looking for a used car in the Vancouver area.

I WISH I COULD GIVE minus (-) 5 star review to this dealership.the sales manager MATT should be fired, he has zero manners and completely unprofessional doesn't know how to talk to someone. I bought a chevy cruze from these guys on July 10th and on my way to home i realized that car is making squeaking sound under the hood. I went back next day on July 11th to ask them to help me and they REFUSED RIGHT AWAY THAT THEY WILL NOT HELP ME, and asked me to call the 3rd party warranty company as the car has 3 month 3rd party warranty. I phoned MATT Today and he refused to help and started screaming at me that he already favoured me by selling the car to me and when I asked him when can I come see him in office and he refused to see me and hanged up.

THESE GUYS WILL RIP YOU, dont go to this dealership. Matt said they dont care if the car has any issues and will not help when you buy the car and come back the very next minute.
This is ridiculous, i bought another car from another dealership and had some issues with car and they got fixed the car for me next day.

I REGRET SPENDING MY HARD EARNED MONEY by going to their dealership. They will only sell you the carto you and will let you suffer and wont help you even if you go back to them very next minute

I CANT BELIEVE THESE GUYS ARE STILL OPEN! My cousin recently bought a 'car' from these people. Unfortunately he trusted them and didn't bring a mechanic like I told him to. Now he's too scared to even leave a review as they intimidated him. You might get lucky and get a car with no problems but I assure you if you have any problems they won't help.

Bought a van that died after a couple months. Things started to break down immediately. Watch out! They say everything has all sorts of inspections but after something happens it's 'we do only safety inspections' Third party insurance was a joke. 7k lost after extra repairs after purchase then had to sell the van for parts: (

I bought a kia rio in the variety auto sales. The car was very well inspected, fixed what has to be. I am so happy about my car, and the price was reasonable. The sales man, Farhad, was so heipful for me to make decision on the purchase.

Ivan was inviting, and very helpful in answering my questions when I stopped by to look at a vehicle I had seen online. I would happily recommend Variety Auto Sales as their pricing was reasonable, and their sales-people were welcoming, not overly pushy!

My daughter recently bought a car from these people and after having several issues with the car she called the Sales Manager Matt who was at first just ignorant, and then turned very aggressive and showed no sympathy. I have no idea how these people sleep at night. I can't believe they are still in business. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Sold me a dangerous car and took no responsibility for it until I took the complaint to the VSA. They lied on the VSA response as well. I have yet to receive an apology from them for the way they treated me. They should be shut down but would need a lot more people to complain to the VSA.

I have a suspicion that the majority of the positive reviews are fake as there is no way they are a 4 star business.

We recently purchased a used X6 BMW from Variety Auto Sales. We travelled from NVan via Transit to get to Port Coquitlam and, as it was a very hot day, Farhad Sharif (one of the newly appointed salesmen) offered to pick us up from the skytrain to take us to the dealership. After test driving and viewing the car we decided to go for a coffee to talk about the car, so Farhad drove us to the village nearby and dropped us off. How nice! We thank Farhad Sharif for going above and beyond the general/daily service of the business. He did an excellent job of explaining the workings (and different gadgets) of the car. We would definitely recommend Variety Auto Sales and Farhad, as well as the other Sales Associates, to anyone looking for a used car in the Greater area of Vancouver. In our opinion, we believe that Farhad is definitely a great asset to the Sales Associate team!

I just bought a used vehicle from Variety Auto Sales. The price of the car was quiet reasonable and even below the market price. The staff were honest and respectful. In all, I had a great experience at Variety Auto Sales and definitely recommend this auto dealership to those who are interested in buying a used car.

Did not have a good experience with this dealer, said car was in good mechanical condition but ended up with multiple oil leaks over $2000 plus additional problems around $1000. Not recommended.

People at Variety Auto Sales are helpful and courteous. Farhad was personable and seemed comfortable with his sourroundings eventhough hes only been there 5 days.will recommed them to others.

I bought a car from Variety Auto Sales, recently. After a few days car started having major issues including severe oil leakage and air conditioning.
I have talked with Moo and Mike and they accepted to change my car with a better one. I'm happy to have a deal with them.
