Vashti Rose In-House Made Ice Cream

When I went here, I was welcomed by some nice staff members, who recommended some very unique ice cream flavours. I had a scoop of the Caramel Apple and a scoop of Saffron Pistachio Rose. The Caramel Apple Ice Cream had fresh apples in it, which was honestly a pleasant surprise. For the other scoop, the Pistachio went really well with the rosy taste, and there were real nuts in it too! 10/10, I will definitely come again.

Located right along St. John's Street which is a busy through corridor but a little tough to get to. They had some construction going on when I went. So maybe this make it more difficult to get to as well.

There are two businesses in the building; an ice cream shop and a martial arts studio in the back. There's an opening to each side of the business so when you're in the I've cream shop you can see the martial arts studio and vice versa. Indoor square footage is small with limited indoor seating.

They have really good ice cream! I'd highly recommend the saffron flavoured ice cream.

Nice spot for ice cream! Lots of interesting flavors. We got the flight and tried 3 flavors for $12 - salted caramel, saffron rose and earl grey (vegan). The salted caramel was my favorite - had swirls of caramel in it!

The best vegan ice cream I've had. My son and I can't have dairy. The chocolate raspberry vegan cone was FANTASTIC. We will be back.

The most delicious ice cream and the nicest service! It's always such a positive experience going there. We bring all of our friends and family, so far no one has disagreed with us that Vashti Rose is the best. Shout out to the cookies and cream flavour. We have never had one with as many big cookie chunks!

Every ice cream I've tried in Vancouver so far has been overly sweet, but this place offers a saffron-pistachio flavor that hits the perfect balance!

My partner and I have been visiting for 2 years and the ice cream, service, atmosphere and everything it just top notch.

Usually I am only able to select from one or two flavours because of my dairy allergy. Vashti Rose is amazing since they always have MANY amazing vegan flavours! They’re always rotating and innovating new and interesting flavours as well.

The best vegan ice cream in the greater Vancouver area. There are always so many options for flavours and the texture is really something else.like cold fudgey brownie batter I don't crave ice cream from anywhere else like I do Vashti Rose. Coming from someone who has started to cut down on dairy, I actually much prefer Vashti Rose vegan ice cream over any other dairy ice cream.

On par with Earnest as far as quality goes. Blows it out of the water with flavour variety. Love this place, love Port Moody.

Really delicious and unique flavours here. I enjoyed the vegan saffron pistachio rose ice cream, which did not compromise on taste at all despite it being vegan. It was creamy, delicious and not too sweet. The flavour was really unique, and I enjoyed the addition of pistachio and rose petals. The ice cream was a generous portion, and the cone was delicious. Friendly customer service, and it was really nice of them to add a mini scoop as a sample, so that you can try out another flavour. A pity this place is pretty far away from Vancouver. I will be sure to try their other unique and inventive flavours when I am in the area.

There is no skimping on flavour. This place is so good. I love their variety of flavours. Super friendly service. The ice cream is the most full flavour ice cream I've ever had. The unique flavours are accurate to their names. Their IG shows the flavours of the day. I like how there's a variety of dairy and vegan options. I also love their option of a free sample scoop ontop if you wanted to try one of the ice creams. Highly recommended!

Such a wonderful variety of changing flavours here. Really appreciate their lactose free options - you can't even tell the difference! Great sized scoops as well.

Went here after dinner across the road, such a unique setup with the gym in the back! I would have given it 5 stars had we been able to sample the flavours as we bought one and it wasn’t to our liking. If you go here get the maple walnut, it was incredible! Tastes like waffles with maple syrup! No photos as it was too delicious to stop eating

This place changed my opinion on vegan icecream. Usually vegan icecream either lack the creaminess or taste coconutty - this place is different. I tried their cardamom and it was divine. Their Mango Lassi (dairy) was also great. Flavors were spot on.

Best vegan ice cream we’ve ever tasted and so many options. It is fairly expensive but it’s really great to have an ice cream place to take the kids for a treat without having to drive all the way to Van. Please don’t ever leave!

What an awesome place we discovered completely by chance. Driving through Port Moody.suddenly we feel like some ice cream. Rocky Point is lined up as usual (popular place!). This small shop is a hidden gem!
I had the Hibiscus and Sour Cherry vegan ice cream because why not? Delicious.

Ordered the saffron pistachio rose and it was very good! Such a unique combination of flavors and it was perfect for the warm day on the May long weekend! Before going today, we have driven by a few times and there was always a line up and now we know why! Would come back to try their other flavours!

Visited a few times. Best cookies & cream I've ever had. Huge chunks of Oreo. Vegan ice cream is incredible, not just weak sorbet stuff but creamy coconut base and very unique flavours. Dairy, vegan and gluten free options. Nice places to sit. Head south just behind and there are benches outside Kyle Place. Excited to visit again!

Debated driving from Coquitlam to Yaletown for some fancy ice cream place my wife wanted to check out on their last night here with me before they flew home. They were closed. Thankfully! If not, we never would have randomly found this ice cream parlor. And omfg am I ever glad that we did. This is the type of place that we love to find. Small, family owned ice cream shops with tons of flavor and great selection of flavors you wouldn't really think of. Blueberry lemon. Sooo good. A bit more lemon needed throughout to give a bit more pop, but if it didn't change I would still get it again. Mini egg ice cream all year around? Well. Sold! That right there should be enough to tell you everything you need to know. Mini egg ice cream all year around.

I've been getting ice cream here for at least three years and I swear their (already great) product seems to taste better each year. Its a lovely family business and I am pleased to both support, and enjoy their creations.

I find vegan 'icecream' a bit rich and usually go for the traditional stuff (they have a big selection of both). However, if you are looking for vegan, they have the biggest assortments I'm aware of; this draws visitors from all over the lower mainland. I appreciate that they use premium ingredients (including organic) and the portions always seem generous and I don't leave hungry. My favourite picks right now are their Cherry Jubilee and Maple Walnut, thought I have never been disappointed with any of their products.

Best option in Port Moody (and the Tri-Cities) for Ice Cream and Vashti blows that other ice cream place located in Rocky Point away! Best known secret in the area.

It's located in front of a bootcamp! Yes, that's what I said. In fact they're attached! Hahahaha Best marketing ever. Parking is located in front or on the street (or even as an option the business directly West of it).

Please note that the Vegan options use Cashew Milk and Coconut Milk in case you may have any allergies.

One of the things I love about this place is they provide you with a dollop of another flavor to try on top of your paid ice cream. You can check their daily flavors on Instagram so you can figure out what you want to get in your belly beforehand.

You'll thank me later for telling you about Vashti Rose.

I had intentions of taking photos, but the ice cream was SO GOOD that the blissful state I was in obscured the dimension of what time reality I was occupying, and when I came to, the source of that blissful state had vanished (there's a play on words in there somewhere, for a slogan).
All-natural ingredients, with many ‘nongluten’ options, and for those who are dairy/lactose intolerant, again many choices.
Tequila Vanilla! Chocolate Peanut butter!? Passionfruit Creamsicle Blood Orange…. And some others that are classic! Made in small batches, family-run, local ingredients … this place has got a lot going for it. A little obscure in location, but when you find it, you will not forget it.
And for the Icecream-aholics, they have a back room and gym, where you can work on the waistline. My advice is to wear your stretchy pants!

So good I had saffron and raspberry cheese cake flavours. They were soooo good. I am satisfied with everything here!

Their cookies and cream is amazing. The best cookies and cream i’ve tried so far. The owner was really kind too. There was a flavor I kinda hesitated to try and she gave me a free mini scoop (the yellow one in the photo). I could taste the full milk of the cookies and cream. Definitely going there again!

I absolutely love the ice cream here and the great people who work there! It’s so awesome that they have multiple vegan flavours to choose from and they’re all so delicious! My boyfriend and I came back two days in a row and left with a pint! We’re addicted?

Literally the best ice cream I’ve had in years! I tried the saffron pistachio and blackberry goat cheese and the flavours were HEAVENLY! The Staff were super nice! Must try this place!

Update: just tried the dairy strawberry shortcake. I usually love a little depth and bitterness (coffee, chocolate, etc) but WOW. Suddenly summer appeared in the middle of a dark winter evening.

The best ice cream I’ve ever had hands down!

I’ve been telling everyone I know about this place because of how great it is. I’m lactose intolerant and it’s so hard to find places that have amazing vegan options. Vashti does not disappoint. I wish they would open a location closer to downtown Vancouver. I love their ice cream so much. Do yourself a favour and try it!

I strongly recommend their Saffron Pistachio Rose and chocolate dairy ice cream. Definitely will try other flavors in my next visits.

Probably one of the best ice cream places I've tried (in the world) with maple walnut and tiramisu being my faves but almost all flavors are very well crafted.

Loved it! So far I have tried several flavours (banana chocolate fudge, raspberry goat cheese, raspberry cheesecake, mango cream lemon curd, chocolate, passion fruit, and saffron pistachio rose) and I still haven't found my favourite yet because every flavor has its own unique deliciousness!

My second time at Vashti-Rose and my first time was a lot better than last night. As much as I love chocolate ice cream, this ice cream had crystals and wasn’t as enjoyable

Neighbouhood family run ice cream place serving wildly creative flavors built with natural ingredients. The mint chip is my favorite; they use muddled mint leaves (not just extract) and bitter dark chocolate to create something whose sweetness is balanced with chlorophyll and bite. It's a really sophisticated and grown up flavor that my kids still like. They have some black licorice flavors that are darkened with charcoal. Absolute blackness and so tasty.
Everything is small batch and there are certain flavor creations that run out fast and don't necessarily return right away. So you have to watch their IG and run in when something rare comes up. I miss Rosewater Rose Petal! I never thought floral ice cream would exist let alone be so exquisite.
I have tried a bunch of the "fancy" ice cream places around the Lower Mainland and haven't found anything that comes near Vashti Rose.

Somewhat camouflaged by it’s surroundings, this little ice cream shop is right next to the Port Moody Art Centre, so you can kill time while the kids are in classes. A little park bench type seating area towards the Art Centre gives you a place to calmly enjoy your lovely artisanally priced treat.
