This is a rave.
When people ask for veterinary recommendations, I always suggest Ladysmith Animal Hospital because of the great care they show my border collie x who is diabetic.

We also had a border collie that never needed their services (only met her at drop off of our other) as we knew that at 13 years 7 months, besides a growth/tumor that would eventually cause her pain, she was happy. When the time came that our girl was in pain, it was outside of the hospital hours and we took her elsewhere to put her down.

The compassion they showed us when our other girl needed something to help with her mourning was amazing then today we received a sympathy card for the loss.

If you want a caring and compassionate Vet and staff, this is the place to take your first baby.

The staff are always helpful and polite. Dr Colin Jerome is a wonderful vet and very caring. I have been dealing with Ladysmith pet hospital since moving here, 7 years ago.

It's just not the same now that it's VCA. I loved this vet when Dr Jerome was there. His staff were caring and always helpful. Most of the staff have changed and sadly the big corporation is more concerned about their bottom dollar. VCA is owned by the same company that makes MARS bars. How can you have a caring veterinary clinic when the big corporation isn't really concerned about the furry patients but how many you can cram through in a day.

Was a customer for years with several animals. Called today and apparently the new phone staff was exceptionally irritated by my existence. She was so rude, I lost my cool. Some dude-bro got on the line when I asked to have my records transfered elsewhere and he got all gas-lighty. Rather than take responsibility for her unprofessionalism, he got accusatory. I suppose with the vet shortage, staff think they're invincible and can be as rude as they want. I don't know what happened to the regulars but do not bother going here, they don't appreciate the $$ you spend. I'm happy to spend it at a vet with professional staff, NOT Ladysmith VCA.
