Nice staff and knowledgeable doctors. We have taken multiple dogs to this hospital and have always been pleased with their service.

Staff excellent as always. Always offers care best suited for your pet. Never have overcharged.

Called the vets office and told them my 15 year old shepherd was having some very serious issues that just started. They got us in within the hour but sadly he couldn't be saved. He was treated with respect until his last breath. I would recommend taking your fur buddy to them with no hesitation.

Called VCA because our puppy was having a serious allergic reaction. Staff got in her immediately and Dr Thandi took amazing care of our dog.

We were visiting family in the area and our Chesapeake Bay Retriever was injured while hiking and needed immediate surgery. Dr. Prostran and his entire staff were fantastic! I can’t speak more highly of the talented, professional, and caring we experienced at this animal hospital. We highly recommend Newton Animal Hospital.

Good advice for dealing with pet issues but no pressure to act on them.

I brought my cat here because of all the great reviews but my experience wasn't that great. The vet could not even do a physical exam to my cat because she was too anxious but they still charged me for it. The clinic manager called to me explain that I had to pay the exam because I was in the room with the vet and I had to pay for his time. Call around for pricing before you go here, they are more expensive than other vets in the area.

I have only been here once, but they did more to try and help my dog than my own vet. The receptionist is ever so lovely and really tried his best to help me and was very polite. Today I decided to switch vets and come here everyone is kind and really seems to care about your pet! 10/10 would recommend

Dr. Thandi is hands down the best vet I’ve ever been to.

I had an emergency situation yesterday with my cat and if it wasnt for all these wonderful reviews I wouldn't have taken her here. It's so hard to find a trusted vet nowadays and all I can say is we found one for life. I would like to say thank you to the doctor and amazing staff for making me feel at ease as well as allowing me to bring her in right before closing. The doctor was very professional and friendly with my cat. He called me today with test results and also gave advice. He is so understanding and caring and you can tell he is passionate about animals. Thank you once again for taking care of Halo. Keep up the amazing work.

My friend took her dog there in an emergency and they didnt let her in and the dog died.i'd be careful bringing your dog there

Very happy with the service at Newton with our French Bulldog and 4 teeth removal. The doctor (Dr Prostran) waa happy to spend a lot of time answering questions until we were comfortable. Happy to use again if need be.

Friendly and outgoing staff members who are very passionate about their job and their love for animals. My dog has a hard time adjusting to new people and but he fell in love with them the second he met them. Highly recommended going here!

Absolutely amazing! Utmost care is always taken - you are never rushed out - all your questions are thoroughly answered and someone is always there for an emergency. Not to mention.they are incredibly honest. Any time a dog runs into the vet’s office and laps up all the pets that they can get.thanks Dr. Barkasay! You truly are the greatest!

I am SO THANKFUL I found a clinic that I can trust to take care of my boy. I take my cat, Oscar, in for his regular check ups (and anytime he has anything slightly wrong with him, really. I may be a little overprotective.) Just last week he sustained an injury from another cat while he was outside. I called VCA, worried, and they were able to fit him in that same day. The staff is always welcoming and obviously passionate about helping animals. Kind and competent care.

Staff is so friendly and polite! Always on time. Very organized and well professional staff that knows how to treat clients as their own dogs. Would definitely 100% recommend.

I sat on hold teying to figure out flea meds for a cat and dog, it took almost 45minutes while i stood outside in the heat with my dog just to find out they arent accepting cash.

Just had my first visit and I am sooo impressed! Dr. E was so thorough with the exams and explained everything to me as he proceeded. Gave me immediate and future options as well. The best part was that before he did anything he told me the price of EVERYTHING and asked if I was okay with that. A lot of vets don’t do that and Not everyone can afford huge bills. I’m glad I chose them when my usual vet wasn’t available.

We have used a few vet hospitals over the years but this one is our favourite. Dr. Barkasy has cared for 4 of our dogs with practical, professional expertise. Never experienced up-selling, pressure or guilt in any way. (Have experienced guilt and judgement at other facilities in the past). During difficult end-of-life decisions he and the rest of the staff are extremely compassionate. Prices are high no matter where you go. Never have a problem getting appointments even on short notice and they have on-line booking. Have recommended this vet hospital many times. Clean facility, sufficient parking and located on King George Hwy.with access from both directions. Usually try to book with Dr. Barkasy but the other vets are very good as well.

Been to many vets over the years and I always come back to Newton Animal Hospital. The staff are very helpful and friendly and any vet I have ever taken my cats too has been amazing.

I cant say enough for this hospital. My dog became quite ill suddenly.they got her in immediately addressed the problem, and now Emma is feeling so much better. We have our big puppy back.

Worth the money to find out what was wrong with our 16-year-old cat, who has never cost us a dime medically until now. He's a sweetheart, but can be stressed out easily. When he's at the vet he's a monster.

Lab tests were done immediately in-office, they even managed to get urine samples without us having to collect it at home each time.

The doctor telephoned us directly to explain the results, diagnosis & treatment options.

Our little old man is back to his old self again due to his ongoing treatment for hyperthyroidism. We are very impressed, and happy with the services provided.

Stopped going here shorty after the corporation purchased it. Prior the clinic was amazing.
Very few of the original staff remain now and there is a very overt concern for making money.
Yes it s business but the clients don’t need to be gouged.

Was sad when Dr. Douglas stopped working. He made the clinic what it was. Not only was he a very good veterinarian, he also made you feel as tho you and your pet were his only concern.

The veterinarian industry locally has really changed. The corporation owns literally hundreds of clinics now. Such a shame

We love Dr. Henderson. She is extremely thorough with the check up and answers all my questions. I never feel rushed with her.

Extremely friendly staff and the vets made me feel comfortable with my choice in bringing in my puppy to get Spade and tacked. Plus I like with trupanion they direct bill super convenient. That's with all the VCA locations as well.
