Vegan Pizza House

The Vegan Pizza House in Surrey is outstanding! The owner is such a pleasant gentleman- very kind and curtious to his patrons. My family and I love the food there and will continue to order again and again from there. I would have to say so far that my favorite item tried is the Spicy Vegan pizza but my husband and son say the Hawaiian pizza! My husband loved the "chicken" donair and the spanakopita was delicious (on the greasy side though fyi but delicious nonetheless). The chocolate peanut butter cups too, mmmmmmm!
Vegans and non vegans alike- try this pizza place, you will not regret it. I could go on and on but the food quality speaks for itself.

Amazing vegan shop. It tastes very home made and they have good discounts. We ordered one with mushrooms and eggplants. The crust is also good, kind of crunchy. It’s phenomenal to have a place that offers all vegan options. As others said it’s kind of a hole in the wall but the pizza is delicious and we LOVE that it’s vegan. More than that, they have other options than pizza, such as lasagna and vegan donairs. Lots of free parking too.

If the owner is reading this, please give us a family discount! We love it

This places crust literally broke my retainer twice in one month, and the pizza smells really weird and strong now

We ordered a combo of pizza, lasagne, salad and drinks. I was hoping for this place to be good, but unfortunately the meal was so poor my wife and I couldn’t eat most of it. I actually had to spit out the lasagna as it just tasted off. I eat a Plantbased diet so I love to support Vegan restaurants. But this one is not it. I hope they can improve from here but the food needs a serious overhaul for me personally. I feel we wasted money on this meal unfortunately.

Came here to pick up an order placed on too good to go. The owner is incredibly sweet, he asked me if it was my first time being there and threw in a chocolate peanut butter cup. I'm not vegan myself so I'm not super familiar with vegan substitutes, but the pizza is delicious. Reheats super nicely too.

Exceeded my expectations! It's a bit of a hole in the wall, but their vegan pizza is fantastic. Ordered 3 large pizzas (and paid extra for their GF crust) - the House Special, Meat Lover, and Seafood. I was able to replace a couple of ingredients in the House Special due to dietary restrictions. They were very generous with the toppings and vegan cheese! The Creamy Garlic sauce was our group's favourite. My guests aren't vegan, but didn't have any complaints and thought the vegan meats and seafood tasted comparable. I was told that the meats are soy-based, and the seafoods are seaweed and tapioca based. The only issue was I believe they gave a Tangy Tomato sauce for the 'meat' pizza and I had ordered the garlic sauce. I already look forward to returning! They have a number of promotions and specials as well, including 10% off pickup orders.

The owner is so kind and the food is so good! I don’t know what the bad reviews are talking about. It tastes delicious, and I normally don’t like vegan cheese, but there wasn’t a weird after taste with this one. The pizza tasted so fresh, and I can’t recommend the peanut butter cups enough! We were nicely surprised by this place. We got the spicy vegan pizza on gluten-free crust. Very tasty. Friendly staff too.

Great unassuming place. Tons of toppings, and the pizza cheeze is cooked so it's a bit crunchy like the top of a lasagna, which is an awesome touch!

So many options to choose from.donairs, pizza, lasagna, salads, and virtually every faux meat imaginable to choose from. Super happy I found this place. Jimmy, the proprietor, is really friendly and a pleasure to chat with while waiting for my pizza - which was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to trying other options!

Ordered the pizza on ubereats, the pizza was awful.completely inedible.it smells horrible.very disappointing.the "garlic sauce" they gave me with my food was grey and awful looking as well.

Its so great to have another fully vegan restaurant on Kingsway. Its always rewarding helping out an ethical small business rather than a large chain. Keep up the good work.

Its also great to know that processed meat and cheese is plant based which avoids the heartbreaking ethical issues, a sustainabiloty toll and avoids the health issues like cancer and cholesterol.

This place is amazing, the vegan donairs are incredible and I recommend them to people all the time. They have an awesome menu with so many choices! The pizzas are LOADED with toppings, and are delicious. I probably eat here once a month at least!

The food was amazing and satisfying, plus the service was great. We all left happy and will return for more.

My latest order was awful. The crust was burnt and the smell was horrible, like dirty grease left in a fryer. Inedible. The quality has gone downhill.

What did I just eat? First off the place is a bit of a dive but I wanted to give it a try because they got some good reviews. Ordered a chicken donair. The chicken tasted like Chinese ginger chicken which was odd for a donair. About 3/4 of the donair was lettuce not shredded but thick slices, I picked out most of it. Not great, I wouldn't recommend it nor would I come back.

Service was great. The cashier tends to hide in the back due to the neighborhood being unsafe. Be polite when ringing the bell for her, the employees work hard despite the nature of the area

Place is quite good, and reasonably priced. The vegan mushroom lasagna is very unique and got a depth in flavor.

Their ham and pineapple beats every meat option out there, I am not kidding. Sides can be a little inconsistent, so if you don't like their salad or pita one time, you might like it the second time. Always worth it either way!

The food is shockingly cheap for vegan fare and extremely delicious. I love the veggie lovers pizza and the peanut butter cup deserts!

If you’re going to call it pizza, it should at least taste like one. This was not pizza, it wasn’t bad but again it is NOT pizza! It’s a cracker crust with a ton of toppings and zero pizza flavour. I’m a big pizza guy and I was excited to try this, couldn’t even finish one slice. I won’t be coming back.

Got a donair and it was ice cold, a salad that tasted 3 weeks old, with capsicum that had seeds still attached

This place makes very creative & tasty vegan pizza, Donair, souvlaki & salads! I highly recommend the Hawaiian pizza, the chicken donair (saucy & delicious) & the combo souvlaki plate! I love supporting a small business like this! Highly recommend!

Favorite vegan restaurant in Vancouver! Best late night food to crush when you’re hungry. Large portions for what you pay for. The donair is awesome, So many cool options that aren’t normally available for vegans.

Crazy good value for money! Won't find better prices for good vegan takeaway food in the city. The staff are super friendly and nice. Definitely recommend for a dirty cheat meal ;)

Vegan Pizza House was my bi weekly treat when I lived in the area. Their All Dress pizza is my favorite.

I'm living in a different province now. But any time that I'm in Vancouver, I make sure to stop by and buy a pizza.

Excellent pizza and service! Ordered a cheese pizza and it had a very unique and delicious taste. Pretty surprised that it's vegan! The only caveat I can think of is that the sizes aren't representative of other chains (ordered a large but it seems to look like a medium).

Terrible. The hawaiian is decent. Everything else I've had here was like cardboard in an oddly sweet and sour tomato sauce. "Lasagna" is mangled and chopped noodles in soupy sauce and the saddest "meatballs". Just loose ground fake beef. Sad.

Great pizza. Never thought I would enjoy Vegan Pizza, but this place does it right. Hawaiian or "Meat Lovers" is the way to go, extra sauce, thin crust. Gabriel made our Pizza on Kingsway, and he did a tremendous job as always.

As a long-term plant based eater, I was so excited to try this place. I was unfortunately let down. I tried pizza, pasta, and some desserts. My verdict was that this restaurant has so much potential, but failed to live up to it.

The lasagna was overcooked, and watery. It was so soft that it tore without much pressure. It was like a tomato soup.

The pizza was more like a ham sandwich with crispy tapioca cheeze on top. The ham was at least 4x thicker than the crust of the pizza. While I appreciate generosity in toppings (many pizza places are stingy), this was too extreme.

The desserts were sickeningly sweet. Like, questioning if you will develop type two diabetes from eating it type of sweet.

I was surprised to learn that there are two locations for this restaurant, and after reading of others' experiences, I feel confident that this was not a one-off.

Besides that, the order took way too long to cook. I was checking the status of my order, and the delivery driver was waiting at the restaurant for an extended amount of time. I'm happy to wait for good food, but I can't say that was my experience here.

I can't say that I would be interested in eating here again. It seems that international workers who are being exploited are speaking out against this restaurant. Besides the terrible food, I feel horrible for supporting a business that shamelessly exploits non-residents.

Quality has declined in the past few years. Used to be amazing food, would not recommend anymore. The spanakopita was cold and frozen in the middle, not even slightly warm. Pizza dough was flavourless and the chewy. The cheese is crispy.

I ordered the Hawaiian and Garden pizzas as well as the baked lasagna with meatballs and everything was really good! Definitely my new pizza place!

I used to love ordering from here, and then when I had an issue it just started to snowball. First time I had an issue it took them two and a half hours for my pizza to arrive, and that was after me calling them three separate times and being told that "we'll be arriving with your pizza in a couple minutes. " Instead, I had to go down there to get my pizza since they never showed up at my place, and when I opened the box it wasn't even the right pizza. Second time I had an issue they sent me a pizza that had 5 ingredients missing, and when I got a replacement pizza they sent me the exact same wrong order. Hands down the worst customer service I've yet to encounter with a restaurant, which is a shame considering they're one of the few vegan options that doesnt just take off cheese and call it a vegan pizza.

I ordered a lasagna and a pizza one time for delivery and unfortunately the two tasted exactly the same and.for some reason really sweet to taste. Not my favourite for pizza.

I have yet to try everything else on the menu, or discover a pizza that I really enjoy off their menu. A little hesitant after that sweet sauce experience! The prices are good. & it was easy to order. I’ll need to try something with more veggies on it next time and a little healtier? I want that fresh taste!

My favorite spot for Vegan Pizza! I love their combos with your choice of 3 toppings pizza and a lasagna. A lot of their ingredients are made in house. Very hard working owner and always do his best to make the best tasting pizzas. Their peanut butter cup is very good. Everything there is very good. Thank you!

The donair is literally the most delicious I have ever had. The other options are not to my liking as they are an acquired taste but the donair.if you get anything on the menu get the donair.

Wonderful little place, with some really great owners running it! My pizza was loaded up with toppings and very tasty indeed! Delicious pizza, great service, and vegan? You simply cannot go wrong!

This is one of the best pizzas I have ever had, so given it was vegan and gluten free it is surprising. I was expecting much less and am so happy to be able to eat pizza that tastes good and is loaded with toppings. This place will make a lot of money off of me in years to come!

At first glance when you walk into the Vancouver location on Kingsway, you'll want to leave. It's small, cramped, dumpy-looking and makes you wonder if it would pass any health inspection. It still leaves me wondering that. My wife wanted to get takeout as the place looked so run down. But we thought we'd give it a chance since we drove out from Burnaby with our toddler kids who have allergies to wheat gluten, eggs & dairy.
There was only one girl working and she must've misunderstood when I called & asked about high chairs for kids because they don't have any (told me on the phone that they did). Regardless, she did a good job on the pizza. The Garden Special was delicious and my 3 year old son liked the cheese pizza. For $2 extra you can get it gluten-free.
It's quite pricey, but tastes quite good. Overall I would rate this place a four if the front sitting area wasn't so dingy. But you can avoid this by ordering takeout or better yet, get it delivered so you won't be grossed out by the initial appearance when you walk in.

Tried this for the first time recently. Vegan pizza was amazing! Best pizza hands down. Will be ordering again.
