Vera's Burger Shack

There's a certain spice/flavor they use that just isn't my thing. I want to love it, but I've had it twice the last few months and it just doesn't do it for me. And for $12, I'd rather have other fast food options for half the price. The decor inside is fine and they've got TVs. The service was fine and at least it comes prepared fresh.

I love Vera's food but I hate their customer service. I'm always super polite and leave a tip, all I get is stares and awkwardness. A simple thank you might be nice.

I visited this Monday at Vera’s the food was really good and the staff was really approaching and friendly.

Cajun burger was delicious! The serving of fries is massive! Pricing is what you’d expect from a burger place. Highly recommend.

Food taste was very good. Server and place could be a lot more welcoming, clean and inviting. Bathrooms dirty and serving dishes (gravy container?) could be improved.

I love vera’s so much the service is amazing.we go every thursday for fries.and this sweet girl is always there to serve us!

$32.10 for a burger and soggy bun, dry overcooked fries and a drink. These guys are having a laugh. Never again. What a joke.

Service was lovely.burgers came quick, Hot, and cheese was melting down. Overall 8.5/10 very great!

I had lunch there today, service was excellent, the cook Shivam made a great burger, i enjoyed it and he went over helping me with the menu, and there's these ladies, didn't get their names, but they also did great on my order as well, pretty friendly, made a great milkshake.

Always favourite place to go and have such a mouthwatering food. Literally, nobody else can beat their meat. The quality of food, their prices (worth it to spend there), service, and all are perfect.

The food is great and honesty it’s hard to find this quality but they need clean up. All chairs are ripped.

The food was freshly made, really delicious even after the (short) trip home, and came with a very generous portion of fries. I plan on going back soon to try some of the other options. Their Nashville chicken was great, super crispy yet moist. Could have been spicier though!

Been to other locations and enjoyed the meal. This time not so much. Tried something different, the BBQ burger. Its actually flat grilled and not barbecued but had no Barbecue taste of any kind. None in the meat or sauce. What I got was an instantly disinegrating pile of mess. The yellow lettuce was piled high on top and turned into a soggy slimy smelly unchewable vegetable which wrecked the burger. Took it out after 2 bites. This big mess of ingredients had no taste to it. Used a pile of napkins to stop dripping it everywhere. That and the impatient server who rushed me to order and who closed early and turned away 4 Customers who just arrived made it a not so pleasant dining experience. Will try again but not that poor value burger.

Just moved back to Vancouver and as soon as I saw there was a Vera's nearby I knew I had to get it on our first skip order!

One of the worst burgers I’ve had in a long time. Sorry, but the inside of a burger is not supposed to be like a steamed meatball. Gross.

The burger here was a little different than others. Staff is great and polite. Seating is open so enjoy the sports in TV.

Great thick burgers. Be careful you don't over do it on toppings because it can get super messy. $7 for onion rings is a bit much.

Very good, but expensive. $73.00 for me, my girlfriend and the kids for lunch, with no alcohol.

Good burger, way too many fries although the rest of the guys in my office aren't unhappy about that. Promptly produced and served in a to go bag. Great tasting burger. I'll have to come back and sample some of their other fare!

I've only been there once, but the stinger burger I had was super tasty and messy - two things I like in a burger.

Wouldn’t even give this a one we just ordered and they gave us disgusting fries super soggy and obviously cooking with old oil. Charged us for gravy and they didn’t even put it in the bag. Buns on the burger were barely toasted. Not worth the money.

The burgers are well seasoned and tastes fresh.side fries are large portions and overall pretty good.downside is when i visited, it was HOT inside.not sure if its because they dont have AC or that they didnt have it turned on-good thing i had takeout.

Vera's is definitely a restaurant with a great burger. If your a fan of 5 guys burgers, I think you'd appreciate Vera's. Freshly made everytime.
And the location I go to, the fellas that work there, are very nice ppl.

Burger was good but the yam fries were under seasoned. Staff was very helpful and took covid seriously.

This is my favorite location. The food is somehow better at this one than the other Surrey location. And the staff are friendly.

It was alright, the food caused a lot of coughing after. However, the food was pretty good just a tad on the greasy side.

Took my grandson here, cost over $40 - 2 burgers.fries.drink combos. The decor is really nice - booths. The burgers were impressive.fries were average. The menu where you line up to order was below the counter and smallish. You had to lean forward to study it and the lady in front of us kept walking across our view. Maybe there was a better menu further into the place but the order desk is at the front.

I realize this is supposed to be a true burger shack but there are no sugar-free drinks, I asked cause I am diabetic. I had water. The staff were very attentive and delivered meals to the table but were noticably not social. When i asked about pop, answer was "no".

Go eat one! Hand made fresh. Mmm home style.
Burger is 5 star! Sorry Vera, fries bring it down to 4 star.
