Vera's Burger Shack

If you're looking for the worst burger experience in Vancouver, this is it. The "restaurant" was half empty at 6: 30 on a Friday night, and there were four orders in front of us. We waited for over an hour for our burgers, which were served by an individual who was more preoccupied with listening to his music and playing with his phone, then preparing the food that was ordered. Beyond that, we paid over $65 for three burgers, two orders of fries and two beers. To add insult to injury, it took so long to get our food, that I actually went to McDonald's (around the corner at UBC) to get a cheeseburger for my son, which I brought back into Vera's because he was so hungry. MY ADVICE, NEVER GO TO VERA'S.

Waited 30 minutes for a burger and fries. I was the only customer there. New staff doesn’t know how to use the POS system. Average food quality. Very overpriced. Just go to A&W or Dons

Been there twice in the last 2 weeks. On both occasions the light in the washroom was out, they had no relish and they got the order wrong. On today's visit the reply was we're only employees.

Extremely nice service, Chicken needs more seasoning though. 3.5 stars for this is place is insane. In my opinion its a 4.5 the new management is way better

Have lived in the area for 23 years and seen ownership change a few times, with prior owners ruining this location's reputation.

New owners are extremely friendly, wait times shorter, and food much better. Finally makes sense to charge a premium compared to other related spots.

Hopefully their work does not go unseen, and this location is able to thrive.

Came here this weekend after hearing they got new owners and I am glad I did! Everything was ready quickly and was hot and delicious.
