Vera's Burger Shack Brickyard

I've now been to this location on three occasions. While the burgers are some of the best I've had, I need to drop the service rating to three stars due to the indifference of the staff. Perhaps good manners, cheerfulness & appreciation for customers would be in order.

The staff are friendly and accommodating, but this place desperately needs to be cleaned. Every crevice and surface is dirty.

My first time to a Vera's. I had the VERA single burger, fries and pop. Good burger. Fries cooked in canola oil - less flavorful that way imo. This location's interior was uncomfortably COLD and the men's washroom was dirty. If I come back, I'll do take-out (big if).

This place hits the spot for both burger and fries quality and consistency. Be sure to eat in, though. The food definitely is better eaten right after it's prepared. The staff are friendly considerate.

Just went for a quick snack this afternoon, we loove Vera's, but lots has changed this past year, including the price point, we had 2 chocolate shakes, a Canuck burg, and three piece chicken strip! That was 40 bux, i will say this, i really enjoyed my last Canuck burger.

Best burgers! That's all I gotta say. I give 3 stars on service because there's been times the tables have been a complete mess to the point I had to ask for a wet rag to wipe them myself.aside from that the best burgers hands down!

Was a deliciously prepared burger! Everything seemed fresh and the patti was big & juicy on a nice soft bun!

Vera's is the best burger joint in Canada. You pay for the privilege & be prepared to wait, but the G Money & Lamb burgers are def worth it.

This location is more of a cafeteria than the ones on Commercial, Denman, or Davie, so there's like zero ambience. It did NOT affect the quality of the food, but you may wanna just get it to go.

Always top-notch burgers here. Never disappointed. Ingredients are fresh and staff is always friendly and helpful.

My Skip driver forgot one of my bags. After getting the runaround at Skip (who had me hold online for 20 minutes and told me the restaurant was unreachable) I called Vera's myself. Vishu answered halfway through the first ring. He knew immediately what I was missing. He said he even tried to call me, but the call went to voicemail. (It's true; there was a message!) Vishu then BROUGHT ME MY OTHER BAG. Himself. On his own dime and own time. I enjoy Vera's burgers. I enjoyed the service even more. Thank you, Vishu.

Today I visited Vera's burger coz my friend suggested me, really I have very good experience over their, The food was fresh n hot, chicken was well cooked, fries crunchy and one more best thing which I like the most the girl named tamanna she treat me with her beautiful smile, thanks for good service n good food

God forbid you want to eat dinner after 7pm. They've lost my business indefinitely. The last time I had their food it was good though.

The burger was passable. The French fries were soggy. We paid $58. It totally sucked. Not going back

Got the Greek burger. Was very good. Most impressive was the fresh feta. I think best tasting feta I've had. Matched well with lamb burger.

Worst burger and milkshake I have ever had. The meat was raw and sloppy and repeated on me all day. Place is filthy. Even my 8 year old son said he never wants a burger again and made us feel so yucky for the rest of the day. Milkshake was terrible and we only had a little as it was sickly and large bits still in there. Avoid this place …. So bad. Service was pretty lame too. Can’t believe I left a tip!

Great food and service. I have been coming here for years now. New management has taken over this month. The fries were super golden and crispy more so than I've had in the past. The poutine did need improvement of the cheese to fry ratio and I mentioned that to the owner. He was very receptive and appreciative of the feedback. I do not eat meat and have loved the veggie patties at Vera's and they had better never change them. I also love that I can sit on the patio with my dogs. That being said, this is a privilege that must be earned and irresponsible dog owners had better not ruin this. If your dog can not lay nicely at your feet while dining and not go visiting other patrons or staff, stay away to avoid ruining it for others.

Burgers are delicious, prices have gone up and the fries used to be better but hands down one of the better burgers in town

Amazing burgers. Great place for a quick burger and a beer. Still the best burger around. Best quality beef of any burger place.

Burger was good but extremely pricey $50 for 2 burger combos. Fries were bland I’d recommend seasoning them with Cajun or other seasonings

Got the lamb burger and the Cajun burger about 10 minutes ago.both were raw inside. Pretty disappointed and doubt I'll be back

Gotta love biting into a raw burger. I get it, its easy to undercook a burger but the one star comes with the customer service. Called in just to inform them the burger was raw to have the lady tell me the burgers are sometimes a little pink but are cooked to temp.as I persisted to explain this wasnt a little pink its raw she continuously disagreed, this burger could very well make someone sick.

Sometimes there’s nothing like a Vera’s burger! Had the Cajun (added bacon) today with a side of bottle caps (deep fried jalapeños) and absolutely loved it. Easy parking, clean and great service. I recommend this spot.

Frist time at Cloverdale Vera's Burgers. Not impressed! When I got to my work place to eat, discovered the burger was burned. Who puts together a burnt beef patty, do they think I will come back. Paid $16. For a burned burger and fries full of oil.

Went for lunch with a couple of friends here.great atmosphere. Great staff and great food.neat little burger place with outdoor seating also.

Walked here in the rain to pick up my order. Once I got home a started eating the burger, I found the beef wasn’t fully cooked. There was a lot of pink. It was soo disappointing.

Their truck was out to Action BMX and I was lucky enough to get to have their veg burger made vegan and it was absolutely delicious. I wasn't expecting much for their veg burger as they're primarily a meat burger vendor, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Their fries were also perfect. I'm now a fan and will be making Vera's our regular go to for when were in need of a killer vegan burger.

Love Vera's Burgers, just wish we had one in South Surrey/White Rock area. Second visit to this location and really impressed yet again. Great service from the young man behind the counter (sorry did not get his name) and great food. We had the Canuck Burger and the Greek Burger (lamb) with a shared order of fries. Food was freshly made as you'd expect from Vera's and nice and hot. Both the burgers were great tasting and the fries some of the best I've had.

They have had a history of making mistakes on my order but I thought to give them another shot. The staff was good in the sense that they explained the deal of the day and made sure they got the order correct. Burger was cooked perfectly.

I know chain restaurants are supposed to be uniform but this Vera outlet seems extra good. The burgers are extra juicy and the service is better than the other locations.

I wish other locations had this high standard.

Update - The owner was very nice via email, I was overly cranky but he took it in stride and offered a new meal.
I had the same order weeks later and it was great, cooked very well and fresh. Thanks I'll be coming back.

My first time at Vera's and what a disaster. The kid at the counter warned me the burgers are pink in the middle but not to worry as they are safe to eat and I totally agree and say they should never be cooked beyond medium rare, he metions to the cook to make it medium rare.so far so good a juicy burger coming up I presume. Next issue is I love mushrooms and want to get a loaded mushroom burger, there are no specific mushroom burger's but I can load any burger with ton's of mushrooms. OK great I say, order the Canuck burger and ton's of mushrooms and Oh boy what a disaster, no mushrooms, the patty is a charcoal, burned to hell, fries are bitter and 1/2 inch long and over cooked, the ketchup on the table tasted moldy UGH. I guess you can't leave 17 year olds in charge of this cause they are polite but really don't know nothing. I didn't complain just got out of there 18 dollars too by the way.

I have been there a few times & I was happy satisfied.
But yesterday I was very disappointed.
The mushrooms were dry & black like a peace of burn pepper & tasked like tar. The Hamburger patty was tasty. The fries where like left overs 80 percent was half an inches in size. Beer was very good.
After the last experience I don't know if I will go back again. I am disappointed.

Their poutine rates up there with Costco's, very good. Chicken strips are unique in their crunchiness and the Chipotle Mayo is the perfect accompaniment. Great combo

Tasty and good options. The only mediocre dish is the chicken burger with hot sauce: it should be amazing but the chicken tends to be small and over cooked.

Employee came over and with full sincerity asked how the first few bites were. I put the last bite in my mouth and replied "ehhwewwent" (excellent). Would return

Went in for 1st time. Staff told me there burgers are normally on the pink side but cooked to safe temp. I told her I always order my burgers extra well done, so to please prepare it that way. As the order was take-out I didnt find out to my horror that the burger was basically rare. I had only eaten less than 1/2 so stopped. I retured a couple hours later for a refund. The staff didnt seem to concerned about my complaint but gave me a refund of $15.23.

Every time I come here I regret it. The service is nice but the fries are bitter and usually half bits. The burgers are very dry and it appears to be run by young teens. I wish there were a better burger place in this strip mall.

Had a very versatile menu, could sub a veggie patty with any burger. Highly recommend coming here they had nice options and delicious fries. Nice atmosph

This place is incredible. They have delicious burgers, even compared to the many burger places I have been to. The staff is also very friendly, and they were patient despite how long it took for my family to order. The burgers are pricey compared to American fast food places, but the burgers had great quality. Great place to stop for dinner if you're around.

Fast and delicious for a quick restaurant

Not worth the cost. This is a mediocre place that charges too much for its actual value. It's not bad. It's just over priced for what your getting. Edible but something I could probably make on my own.

Came here after work to satisfy a burger craving. Was mildly impressed. Not worth the price of admission.
1. The gentleman at the till seemed flustered that I had questions about what was on the burger
2. The burger was decent, not worth the $14 I paid. Five guys, Wendy's, and Red Robins are by far superior.
3. It was cold in this location.
4. Staff didnt seem too excited to be working that day.
5. The fries tasted like they were deep fried in the dead sea. Too salty.

Will never go back I took my kid to this place, it's middle of the week around 3pm we walked in and it was empty but yet every table was dirty, I had to wipe my own table just to sit and I'm not just talking some crumbs there were napkins, cutlery and greese on the tables and the frames on the walls even had stuff on them. But my kid wanted a burger so we ordered. Her burger was falling apart when we got it (in the pic) and a part of the bun was missing on the corner, and the patty was in pieces! We were there for about 40 minutes and not a single table wiped or cleaned and its not like it was busy no one but us came in and both the girls working were giggling and swearing in the back kitchen.don't spend your money here the food isn't worth the price and the place was a mess I've worked in restaurants and if the fronts that messy the back is usually no better

We really enjoyed this restaurant. We tried to go to a close by establishment after a family funeral, but was turned away by our large number of people (9). Vera's moved tables for us, provided table service and made us delicious food. We were very grateful.
We will go again. Thanks again to the team working Saturday March 2,2019.

Another burger option, freshly made and toppings dressed the way you like. Been here a few times since the one in Newton closed. Facility kinda dull, could use some livening up.

Love the food. But the staff have an average age of 11.2 separate occasions my order was messed up. And they had a hard time accepting they messed up and never really made it better. Won't be returning to this location.

You do have to wait a bit more than most places but it was definately worth it. I haven't been to Vera's for a while but it helped me remember why i used to go there so often. I love that you can get anything you want on top. I was delicious!

Excellent burgers.made fresh to order. Satisfying and delicious. Crispy chips, could use a little more of these but just YUMMMOOO.
