I’ve had tendonitis in my wrist for years now and had treatment in the past thar only seemed to fix my issue temporarily. I went for physio with Riley at Active Health and was blown away by his knowledge and his passion. With his treatment and a long term strengthening plan (I can do at home) for a future permanent fix, I can say that my wrist has never felt better. Active Health is a one stop place for all your therapy needs and I cannot rave enough about this facility and the staff. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

Miss. Wetjen is very professional and listens to my concerns before each treatment and develops an effective treatment plan and I always feel better afterwards.

Today I had an initial acupuncture appointment with Debra. She was great. Debra also did cupping on my back and this wasn't cupping I've been accustomed to. Typically, I had it where the cup is placed on an area for a period of time then pulled off, however, Debra was moving the cup all over my back and then left a bunch on while she worked the other side. I haven't felt this loose and good for a long time. I'll be scheduling another acupuncture and cupping session in the future fur sure. When we’re caught up in our “day-to-day, ” every day, we can easily lose track of acknowledging credit where credit is due, particularly when we’re preoccupied in bewilderment that the rest of the world seems to have gone mad. Our politicians, who have been entrusted by us to serve OUR best interests, seem to be only serving their own and our civil servants appear to have forgotten that their job is to act for OUR needs and not some "official" narrative that has gone way too far down the rabbit hole. Common sense seems to have been abandoned in favour of following the rest of the lemmings, in haste and out of fear, into the sea.

At an recent gathering of his professional health-care-giving peers, Cory Hewco, founder and Owner of Vernon Active Health, successfully appealed for a return to common sense, at least within his Chiropractic Association, by NOT mandating limits to the Rights and Freedoms Canadians have enjoyed until recently and which have been systematically removed by big pharma business, and those on the government dole.

It takes a great deal more courage and endurance to swim upstream, against the current, and potentially at one’s professional peril, than it does to float lazily downstream with the rest. This is typical of Cory’s penchant for what is right, whether for his patients, his family and friends, his colleagues at Vernon Active Health or his fellow Canadians.

It occurred to me today that Cory is an OBVIOUS recipient of “credit where credit is due” and deserves our collective support in whatever way we can offer it. Thank you, Cory…we appreciate your tenacity and resilience - please keep going!

Riley Weatherhead - extremely knowledgeable in a lot of things medical, (and many other fields). Working with both the concussion and the fractures.has therapies even the doctors didn't seem to know about!
Tara Taylor - Is extremely focused on her clients well-being. Listens to what the patient is saying.and very much is not about pushing to a point of pain!
Debbie Jonasson - very intuitive when it comes to her patients. A combination of acupuncturist and counselor. Patient and understanding

All these amazing people are well trained in their fields. And have lots of knowledge of other fields, as well. If you have been injured, I highly recommend any of these people. And I'm a cranky old lady who isn't often impressed!

I have post surgical pelvic adhesions from surgery in 2006. The adhesions have caused digestive constrictions that result in chronic pain. Active Release Techniques (ART) has hugely improved my quality of life. Thank you Cory Hewko!

I have just started doing the facial cupping with Debbie Jonasson and have had very good results with acupuncture and in particular Deb's scar work with acupuncture. Thanks to Cory and his staff for a total package care centre.

It was nice of dr Hewko to squeeze me in on his lunch break. I had a great adjustment followed by some active release for my muscle tightness. Thanks to him and his awesome staff I will have a better drive back home to Edmonton. I highly recommend him and his team specially if you're passing through while on holidays.

Shout out to Dr. Cory Hewko. I first saw Dr. Corey at the end of January this year. My health has never been much good and at that time things were escalating. Since most of the problem seemed to be coming from the abdominal organs I wasn't really sure if a chiropractor could do anything for me. Well miracles happen everyday! Within 24hrs.of seeing Dr. Cory, severe problems that I had dealt with since July 2007 completely subsided. I've seen Dr. Cory about three times since January and the progress has been incredible. I feel like i've been given a chance, something that I couldn't even of hoped for before. So please people, when your hurting, consider chiropractic. Better yet, get an adjustment before you ever have to feel pain, it could be the best thing you ever did for yourself. Thank-you Dr. Cory for making such a difference in my life!

The team at Vernon Active Health are all amazing people to work with, from the front receptionists to all the Doctors and specialists. They really care about the outcome of their clients. I've been working with Dr Cory Hewko for chiro for some back adjustments and Active Relief Therapy (ART) for my shoulder. Tara was also administrating Shockwave Therapy on my shoulder to help break down the calcium deposits and scar tissue. When I started with them a few months ago, I could barely lift my arm past my heart. The pain was so excruciating! Now I have movement to above my head again. Thank you for helping to provide some much needed relief! I own a horse boarding business, so having full mobility for my shoulder was critical. So happy with the results and would recommend the team to anyone. Great kid friendly place as well which made things convenient.

Vernon Active Health helps keep me going in my busy and physically demanding career and also keeps me enjoying my favorite activities like hiking and yoga. Cory Hewko has been my number one chiropractor for many years now, the ART he does before adjustments has been a game changer for my body in really positive way. I also see Helen for amazing craniosacral sessions that have helped with calming my nervous system and letting go of stress and tension, which has greatly helped with arthritis pain management. I also highly recommend acupuncture with Deb, last winter she was a big help to me when I was experiencing a period of deep fatigue and pain in my right arm. I am so grateful for this place, it really increases the quality of my life.
