Via Tevere Pizzeria

Excellent as always. Our go to order is the Pizza Gatto and mozzarella sticks (10/10) but this time we also tried the polenta sticks… divine!

Very good all around. Lively atmosphere, but not so loud you can't hear your dining companions across the table talking.
Given the house was full service was prompt and attentive.
The four different pizzas with meat, cheese, fungi and tomato sauce and the chewy light crust worked well together.

I visited the place for the first time with my husband, the place seemed calm and pleasant, from the moment they receive you they are very friendly, the waiter is super friendly and attentive too and not to mention the pizza that is there that leaves you speechless how delicious, authentic Neapolitan pizza. I had a great experience with my palate and with the service.

I had a hair in my pizza and was really all night after but the food seemed good at first.

Was visiting Vancouver and heard a lot about this pizza restaurant. The restaurant was full, so we had to go with takeout. Got 2 pizzas and a lasagna and all 3 items were excellent. They are Neapolitan style pizzas, and the crust had good crunch. Would love to try dining in another time.

Je voyage à travers le Canada depuis 2 mois. A partir du Quebec jusqu’à Vancouver cette semaine. Cela fait donc 2 mois que je recherche des vrais bonnes pizzas Napolitaine. 2 mois et plus de 4000 km pour en trouver une. Enfin une excellente pizza avec une pate divine qui a certainement reposer 48 heures. C’était franchement un plaisir de goûter ces pizzas. La Tricolore est une vrai réussite avec du pesto fait maison et une margarita superbe. Deux petits reproche cependant, le premier, nous étions attabler au bar devant les pizzaiolo et ils n’ont eu aucune interaction avec nous, pas meme un regard, et le second, malgré la gentillesse des serveurs, nous sommes extrêmement vite débarrasser avec la note, presque viré du restaurant. J’aurais aimé plus d’esprit famille et moins business.

Really delicious pizzas cooked out of an oven from Italy. The service is super friendly and the ambience is nice for catching up with friends!

We come here every time we visit Vancouver (6 visits). The last time before this visit was 7 years ago. It never fails to disappoint still delicious, the quality of food & service are so good.

Lots of wonderful options for pizza. Vegetarian friendly, the Ortana Pizza is a must try if you don't eat meat. The Outdoor patio is amazing anytime of the year, it is under a canopy of grape vines and rainy days help enhance the aroma. They have a lot of heat lamps so you'll never be cold. Finally leave room for the Tiramisu it is the best way to end off the night.

If you ever had fantastic Neapolitan pizza in Italy, this is the place. I introduced my girlfriend to Via Tevere and she thought she was in heaven! We ordered my favourites- the Prosciutto e Funghi and Prosciutto e Rucola (fresh arugula). The size was more than ample as it is still tasty as a leftover. The pizzas come in one size and you cut the slices yourself with scissors provided. You can see them making the crust by hand with toppings and the brick oven is located inside the restaurant. My girlfriend was so impressed that she ordered another whole pizza to take home! The salads looked delicious but we chose to save room for their homemade tiramisu. We had no problem gobbling it up.

We came here on a weekend and it was busy. Unfortunately no reservations. You can either leave your number or wait outside. No need to worry about waiting in the cold on a rainy day as there’s a bench outside underneath the heated lamp. It was definitely worth the wait. They also have patio seating behind the restaurant with heat lamps to keep you warm. Great ambiance, great service, and great pizza. We’ll be back!

Great service here and absolutely loved the food and wine. The pizza here is just amazing. One is more than enough to fill you up. They do Neapolitan style pizza here and they are so generous with the toppings. Service is very friendly as well. Parking around here is a bit difficult however. You may have to circle around a bit to find some parking in residential areas.

Excellent, legit, neighborhood Napoletano Pizzeria. Friendly, efficient service. Food and drink quality ingredients. Highly recommend if you want real deal pizza

One of the best pizza place. Pizza was delicious. The deserts as well. I would recommend to call them to know the wait time as the place was full and we waited for an hour outside in the rain but worth it. Good service. They had very nice tables in the back.

Fantastic food! Fantastic service! The staff were all attentive and helpful. The pizzas are made in the middle of the restaurant - great to watch it all happen. It was a fantastic date night for my hubby and I. Think you for a great night!

Be sure to pack an activity while you wait because this joint is always packed and you can’t reserve. We were seated sooner than expected which was wonderful because the wait was well over an hour and it was raining. The service was excellent. Prompt, friendly and efficient. Every employee who neared our table ensured we were satisfied and happy. I loved the open kitchen concept. The pizza of course was delicious. I will definitely have to come to try more of the menu, but it might have to be take out, because I don’t always have the patience to wait in line.

Checked out Via Tevere this past Saturday night, after we were unable to get into Pembinos. The place was bumping and we had to wait about an hour for a table. Overall, the food was decent, though the portion sizes were good and prices were reasonable. As they were so busy, we had to wait a little bit longer than usual for service, however, our server was friendly and did a good job.

The pizza crust is so soft and tasty, the meatballs are the best in town.

Unfortunately it doesn’t take reservations, so my sister and I always get there as soon as they open the doors at 4 pm. It’s never too early to have delicious food.

The tiramisu is a must, however I feel they changed it’s recipe recently. The taste is not as good as the one I ordered it couple years ago. But maybe I was wrong.

Overall, it’s an excellent pizzeria!

Hands down best pizza around! Whenever I am in town I always want to come here! My wife and I love it so much! Would recommend to anyone who loves an authentic wood stove fire pizza!

On Saturday night, the pizzeria was packed, and there were many groups outside for the waitlist. The hand tossed pizza tasted great, the salads came in large portions and the drinks were decently priced (double highball for $10!). All hand tossed pizza taste the same to me - from what I've tried, but this would be a great location if you're looking for a busy atmosphere.

Actually. No Comparisson to Marcello's. Marcello's much much better. Bigger menu, better service. We ordered a pizza and spaghetti with meatballs, wanted to order a small kid's size pizza, they declined that they DON'T serve or make the small/kids size to adults. This is discriminatory whereas, we ordered half litter of wine, desert, and spaghetti, and large pizza. I feel it's too congested and will never come to this place. Marcello's you are and have been the best.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The pizza is out of this world. It’s truly the highest quality of an authentic Italian pizza. There is always a wait but the wait is 100% worth it. Drizzle some flavored oil on top and the pizza is taken to the next level! The only down side is that this pizza will make it impossible to ever have mediocre pizza. We now either eat Dominos when we want something fast & cheap…. Or we eat Via Tevere. We can no longer do middle-of-the-road… and we couldn’t be happier about it. ️

We ordered the mushroom and prosciutto for one pizza and pepperoni for the other. Good char and chewy dough. Would come back!

Dropped in on a Friday night at 5 pm. Got a table right away as it was a two top. Ordered a appetizer, two pizza, iced tea, tiramisu and a cappuccino. It was all excellent. Service was friendly and prompt. If you've never been you need to try it.

Pizza is amazing with a nice char.

Had the arugula salad as well.was perhaps my favorite salad in any restaurant in Vancouver.

We had the Capriciossa (tomato, fior di latte, prosciutto cotto, salame, artichoke, mushrooms, and olives), Tricolore (fior di latte, ricotta, san marzano tomatoes, basil, walnut pesto, and grana padano), and Margherita (tomato, fior di latte, and basil). We also had the Caprese salad of tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil, and extra virgin olive oil.

This is my absolute favourite pizza place in the city and remind me of our trip to Naples. It is also one of the only, if not only, local members of the Associazione Vera Pizza Neopoletana. This specifies how the pizza is made from the wood fire oven, to the type of flour, tomatoes, and cheese used.

There's always a line up here and I haven't been back since covid, so I'm not sure how they are managing with half capacity.

One of the best pizzas in town. A message for the owners. Please look at the order notes. I wanted my pizza cut because I was headed to the park only to find out they weren’t cut. Gotta double check before leaving next time!

One of the best pizzas in town for sure. Definitely a go-to place if your craving some authentic pizza. Reminds me of the pizza I had in italy. Only downside is the prices are pretty high up there.

I had heard so many good things about this place so I finally decided to try it for myself. I hate to say it, but this was one of the more disappointing pizza experiences of my life. The pizza was extremely underwhelming, cold and a little soggy. I don't understand why they're charging insane prices for this pizza but it's absolutely not worth it. You'll get better pizza at pizza garden like 5 mins away. I will add, to be fair, we did get take away. Still, c'mon guys, do better.

The worst pizza I ever had absolutely terrible it was cold had no cheese and burnt and very watery.

Via Tevere.famous pizzeria just off The Drive, known for their long lineups and house made oils that you can drizzle over your pizza. An extremely popular place. That said, PP was still disappointed. It’s solid pizza. I really like the slightly charred crust, and how it’s perfect for folding my slice together to hold in the chilli oil and toppings.

However, what wasn’t great was the quality of toppings used, like the mushrooms or ham. They were the kind of ingredients you’d find on a homemade pizza, which I’m not hating on whatsoever, but not to the quality expected of a well established and highly regarded pizza institution.

Maybe I hyped it up too much? All I can say is there are better options in Vancouver for this price.and trust me I eat a lot of pizza

Via Tevere was fantastic. From the server to the venue, from the fior di latte to the prosciutto everything was 'bella'! We loved it.

The Italian style pizza and arugula salad were excellent as usual. We highly recommend Via Tevere Pizzeria.

Simply the best Neapolitan style pizza in Vancouver. You have to try the Rucula con Limone salad with added crispy prosciutto. And the Filetto and Capricciosa pizzas are my hands down favourites.

Great meatballs, best mini arancini, pizza dough is super, respectful selection of amaro and grappa! Bravo keep going! Tiramisu needed some love

First time being to Via Tevere Pizzeria, was not disappointed.
My wife and I ordered a couple appetizers “polenta frita” and “frittura napoletana”, very authentic and delicious Italian dishes, crispy, and flavourful and the prices weren’t too bad either.
As for the main we each ordered a pizza, quattro formaggi and the vesuvio. I made the mistake of adding prosciutto crudo, not because the meat was bad by any means but because the vesuvio already comes loaded with lots of meat toppings! Each topping is high quality meat and cheese. Also the crust is as of it’s right out of Italy itself.
The wine menu was so so but I managed to find one really good one (to my liking) on the list for a good price.
I also want to add despite not getting a dessert (because we were stuffed!), from what we saw from other patrons it all looked amazing. Definitely can’t wait for the next visit.

Still my favorite place for Neapolitan pizza in Vancouver. The dough texture has just the right amount of chew and the thin crust shows great skills from the pizza chef. The fresh ingredients really comes through to add layers of flavor on top of the subtle flavors of the dough. The service was fast, two pizzas took less than 10 minutes to make.

Order 4 pizzas online. Confirmation email indicated the pizzas would be ready for a precise time and sure enough at exactly that time the staff handed them to me. Awesome. Now for the pizzas and as usual just the best quality and taste for the money. Well done Via Tevere. We will be back soon!

Exceptional. That's the word I'd use to describe Via Tevere's food. They have brought Naples-know how to Vancouver and wrapped it up in East Van style. It is a busy place but always has been worth the wait.

Cream sauce pizza wasn’t cooked properly, very soggy. Tomato sauce pizza was really good although my wife didn’t like it.

This place was ok, pizza was tasty. They were busy when I picked up so that’s always a good sign. Not sure if I caught some one on an off day but I called to place an order for pick up and the lady very rudely told me that she didn’t accept phone orders and to order online or to order when we got there. I ordered when I arrived, pizza came within 5 minutes, but again staff wasn’t friendly. I went with my grandmother and she loved it and I am willing to give it another try. The restaurant is a hop, skip, and jump from the main drag that is Commercial Drive.

Delicious pizza my god. And their meatballs are delicious too. The pricing of the meatballs is good. A bit expensive / meatball. It was 3.50/ meatball and you have the option of getting however many you want. The meatballs were more delicious ghan ask for luigis (in case you know this place) the pizza was so gooood

Best pizza in Van! Authentic and so tasty! It never disappoints, there side salads and dressings too are not to be missed

Waited 1.5 hours for an online order.arrived on time and then waited an extra 45 minutes outside at the pick up window in the rain.
Never coming back.might as well blow your brains out if you're trying to order anything from this place.

Really do love this place. Authentic ingredients, proper wood fire oven, and the crust is just perfect. Compliment it with their chili oil and a nice malbec and I'm in heaven. I've tried nearly everything on the menu, the Vesuvio is still my favorite although the Pizza with proscuitto and mushroom is also very good. With covid - things are a little frantic in there now, and when we went last night we felt really rushed which was a little frusterating, but understandable given smaller room size and the need to turn tables. All in all, still very good!

The very best pizza in Vancouver, though everyone has their specific preferences. You can't go wrong with the Margherita, so definitely start with that. Via Tevere changed my understanding of pizza - I used to eat pizza for the toppings, but that was because I didn't know good dough! It's just so crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, full of flavour and downright sweet. The toppings are a compliment to the dough, not the other way around! Truly a hidden, tucked away gem in Vancouver.

The food here is incredible. Super friendly service and the patio is beautiful. Pizza is amazing and really feels authentic, also love the donuts so much I often come here because I wake up craving them. Highly recommend!

Amazing food! From the appetizers to the pizza to the dessert! I went with a big group - we shared the meatballs (which were delicious), 5 pizzas, the daily pasta and 3 desserts. The tiramisu was one of the best I had in Vancouver. Overall, really liked the chill, cozy atmosphere. Shout out to our waitress and the staff- our food came out so fast! The waitress was also on the ball with all the orders and seamlessly split our bills! Skills! Would highly recommend and I look forward to going again.
