Victoria Butterfly Gardens

Absolutely beautiful! There were lots of butterflies, birds, frogs, leaf insects and plants. Thou we did went winter season. Hope to visit the place again during the summer or spring.

We had so much fun watching, dodging and waiting for butterflies to land on us. And all the bonus animals was absolutely amazing!

Fun for kids and adults. Come in out of the rain and enjoy a couple of hours on the tropics enjoying the jungle like interior whilst watching the butterflies and other tropical critters including sone insects of the less colourful variety

Went here a couple weeks ago on a date. Very lovely place! Something new catches your eye each time you walk around. A very friendly employee was happy to help us find caterpillars which we had a hard time finding ourselves. Can't wait to be back again soon.

Free flying butterflies, stunning flamingo. The environment is like tropical, hot and humid, so make sure to dress accordingly

The house offers lots of butterflies and a few birds. Turtles are nice too, or lizards. But the cockroaches take some getting used to.

One comment I heard a lot was that this place is small while there and well it actually is not that large of a place. I went in expecting a small place with butterflies, I did not research it at all first. So, I was surprised by how many other insects, fish, amphibians, and birds they had. The admission price is good deal and worth a visit if in the area.

Great insects and other things like flamingos and tortoises. The landscaping was also beautiful!

It was a wonderful experience to see all the butterflies, ants, birds, fish lizard, bearded dragon. Flowers omg it was amazing

It is so wonderful. It has an unique insect atrium and a tropical rainforest where you can see the butterflies and other species. I would really recommend going.

Very cool! A lush indoor jungle with wildlife ranging from giant koi to exotic McCaw parrots! And of course, butterflies absolutely everywhere. There's also a "bug zoo" that features many types of stick and leaf insects and a large live ant colony display with marked chambers and fun facts. Recommend getting there at opening to beat the rush.

An amazing experience with butterflies flying around in a very organic environment. Must visit if you are in Victoria.

It was fantabulous experience, especially for kids it is good way of learning and educate them about nature and beauty of nature. You will see butterflies, turtle, parrots, flamingo and many more.

Amazing place! I came to Victoria for visiting famous Butchart gardens, but firstly I came here and for me it's even better! It was so gorgeous walking through tropical environment. Reasonable entrance fee and a lot of fun. P.s. Parrot there is so freandly, you can take a nice picture with

It is our second visit! It is the best place to take kids! Butterflies are fun, parrots are fun, turtles, fish, birds! Ant farm is absolutely beautiful! Must visit if you come to Victoria!

Was so amazing loved every minute of being there. The staff is super great and friendly. Loved seeing all the butterflies.

A great experience. Plenty of diversity. Many different birds and butterflies. Turtles and insects as well. And if you look closely you just might find a flamingo!

It was ok. I was expecting it to be a little bit bigger. Think the one in Coombs has more to see. The kids liked the Leaf Cutter Ant display.

Amazing Experience. Worth a visit for people who like to stay close to nature but cannot be due to busy work schedules. Very clean and safe place for kids as well. Family and groups visits are honestly the best when visiting the garden.

I am embarrassed it to took me years to visit. It defines tranquility and delights every sense. Go. Breathe it all in. You deserve this.

Wonderful experience! So humid inside, it's like a tropical paradise the birds, turtles and most of all the butterflies are a marvel to see, I feel very lucky living near this place!

Great place to take the kids. See some insects and butterflies, along with parrots and turtles and a flamingo.

Took my kids down on fathers day and got in for free with their fathers day special. The kids had a blast watching the butterflies, tortoises and the parrots. One of the parrots came and sat down on tree that was less than a foot away from my son, which made his day, he was extremely happy and excited to see one that close.
The entire area is fairly small you can be in an out in 30 min, but if your looking for a fun and interesting place to the the kids, i would recommend it.

A unique place to visit. Both great for family visit and or dates. Very friendly with fantastic safety precautions setup, everything seemed to flow nicely with next to no rush. Would recommend a gander atleast once.

More than butterfly's. There is a small exotic bug exhibit, A large ant colony you can watch like a massive ant farm. Inside the gardens are beautiful exotic flowers, Parrots, turtles and tortoises, fish ponds and a small frog display. My 2 daughters both enjoyed enjoyed it. One is elementary school aged and the other is a toddler.

Amazing place to learn about butterflies. My toddler son enjoyed it a lot. I myself was particularly impressed by the hatching display, where you can see all kind of butterflies emerge from their cocoons and the feeding area. People may think it is a pass by attraction on the way to Burchard gardens, however I strongly recommend visiting in as it is definitely worth a trip on its own.

Very nice place to entertain your L. O. (s). Takes 45-60 minutes to go through. COVID-19 protocols are in place. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes in front.
You can buy the ticket online in advance, however there is no problem to wait in line and buy them on the spot.
