The staff is amazing, the venue is accessible (it now has an elevator) and they bring quality entertainment to #yyj

The VEC is good for our city they have lots of neat events and give local artists a chance to shine

It's like a community dance hall mated with an old-school bar; this love child is a curious place for filming local t.v. Shows, activist presentations, live music dancing, etc. I'm at a loss how to explain the place except that if there's an event there, go. You won't regret it if only to catch a real throwback vibe. (Unfortunately there is no elevator access. Its a two floor walk up.)

I went there for an art battle a few weeks back, the staff were very nice and the venue and atmosphere was great.

Too many stairs, I will never be back. I have mobility issues and wasn't sure if could even get back down the stairs!

Great venue! The hospitality of Elizabeth and the team was fantastic. Great customer service and a space I’d recommend to anyone looking to host an event or attend a show. Thanks gang!

Extremely disappointing seating and inadequate information on performance for Nov 5 show of Flamenco dancing.
The VEC failed to inform ticket holders, in advance, that you may or may not have seats, and you may or may not be able to view the show you have bought tickets for. The show was oversold and customers had to stand in the back of the theatre for the entire show or sit in the side room, away from the stage. This is entirely inappropriate. This show should have been at a different venue. I will not be returning unless adequate information on seating is stated and the venue can provide seating and viewing for a show you have bought tickets for.

Hard to get to for drivers and very expensive parking. As a vendor it's the worst place to hold an events to get your stuff in. Nice building though

I haven't eaten there, I've only gone to music events, it's a good place and you can drink alcohol, look on their Facebook page for the events they have week after week.
