Victoria Sushi

Over the last 5 years I've stopped in when I'm in the area and needing a snack.

I've always had good experiences, including today. Attentive staff, clean, and consistently fresh and tasty food.

The only thing I regret about dining here is that I should have left a review sooner - highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic sushi and very reasonable prices. I agree with other reviewers that Victoria Sushi possibly is more expensive than others, but I'm not convinced. Certainly not in any way that should dissuade you!

Their food is amazing and I'll personally attest that their combos offer more for than you should eat in a single sitting. I did because it was delicious, though.

Grocery store quality sushi, too much sauce and extra stuff on top. Dynamite rolls are not supposed to have crab meat, that's a California roll, come on. And bad fake crab at that. It's gross, I won't be back. Maybe tell people you sauce the heck out of the sushi in the menu so they can make an informed choice.

This is some delicious food! Their lunch specials are one of the best deals in town. We have never been disappointed! Try it.

The food was so so basic, I can even say not good. We got a platter which was a mistake. Overall, we did not enjoy the food.

We had an amazing and delicious dinner experience! We went there with a group of 3, one person in their early 30s, one teenager and one pre-teen. It was a great place for all of us. The sushi was just outstanding. We had heard it was one of the better sushi places in town, and for us there was no doubt, best sushi we had had in a long time. The service was also impeccable. Every time we needed something, before we even had a chance to ask the waiter was bringing it around (water, tea, new pair of chopsticks because someone dropped theirs, etc). We highly recommend it and are definitely coming back.

Ordered Toro sashimi, and they come back 5 minutes later to say they do not have it. I'm like the only one in the restaurant, and the server has no idea they are out of a particular item? I ordered the tuna sashimi and it was waterloged and tastless for 16.00! Unagi roll was 13.00, and one large beer. The price was 45.00 after tip. Was a waste of my money and time.
Quality was the bare minimum at best.
Some of these restaurants are not even trying, just taking their customers' money and giving the least and bare minimum.

They don't even carry uni on the menu!

Victoria has so few japanese culinary options. What a sad landscape in this regard.

Really solid sushi spot with reasonably priced rolls. We came in on a Sunday evening and were seated immediately, had very polite and friendly service. The agedashi tofu was a great starter. The karaage comes as wings instead of boneless, but they were still very good. Our maki rolls were reasonably priced and filling. We recommend the Esquimalt roll if looking for a tasty maki roll with seared fish on top.

Unfortunately our server brought all our food at once, appetizers as well as our main dish, so most of it was cold by the time we tried it. We felt like they wanted to flip the table as fast as possible. Not a great dinner place because it felt like a fast food place.

Got there at 7: 35pm and they said they could not provide service or even take out, because they close at 8pm. Then why say you close at 8pm?

Alright sushi, nothing stand out. The rolls with imitation crab were over loaded with meat and minimal other ingredients making them unbalanced and "crab" heavy. Tempura was not hot but only warm.

Love Victoria Sushi - My go to Sushi place.great, consistent food experience-dine in take out, and more.

In our recent order we received significantly smaller Nigiris, and in one instance, the fish was so thin that you could see the rice through it
The quality has definitely diminished of late

I visited my relatives in Victoria and Victoria Sushi is one of their favourite Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere was soothing, and the staff very polite and warm. I had the spider crab sushi, the fried spider crab could be eaten with the shell, and was both well presented and delicious.

We went with a takeout because the music wasn't to our taste. This turned out to be a win-win because the takeout was great and we ate in Victoria West Park across the street, in the early evening sunshine. Really enjoyed the five sushi pieces I chose. I'll be back for the mackerel. Friendly service too. Good job Victoria Sushi.

Our favorite sushi spot! Unfortunately just recently Skip the dishes says we are outside of their area. Wasn't a problem for years before that. Still will pick up!

I give this 5 stars because the food and service are very good, while reasonably priced. The atmosphere is good enough, in keeping with the location, a mall local shopping center.

When for dinner for our anniversary and dinner was amazing! 10/10. Everything was just perfect. Staff super friendly and attentive. And food first class…

Victoria Sushi is one of my favourite spots in the city. I've been going here around once a month for years.

The food is consistently great, the staff are kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere is lovely. An all around gem that I highly recommend!

My boyfriends mom came into town for the night on her business trip to VI and wanted sushi for dinner. We have been wanting to try this place out and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and we will be going back very soon! It was a wee bit pricey for a few items but nonetheless it was delicious and worth it.

We went for lunch with a group of 5 and a complicated order which our server handled with aplomb. Pretty good food, the lunch specials were all enjoyed and the food came fast.
