Got a new clutch among other things. I was recommended to Victoria transmission by derricks mechanic. Very appreciative of Gary and the team for taking care of me and being straightforward, friendly, fair and helpful!

Great service, they got our in front of the parts needed for our repairs so our commercial vehicle experienced very little down time.

I was truly happy with the speedy service and fair price for new tires. Even had someone help me with wiper blades.

I am so glad I took my truck to Victoria Transmission. They were extremely knowledgeable, upfront, polite and professional. They gave me a price and stock to it and kept me in the loop at every step. I brought my car here for a suspected transmission noise. Gary was extremely conscientious and detail oriented in diagnosing the issue. We eventually determined it to be front wheel bearings, one noisier than the other, but both requiring immediate attention. On another occasion I brought the same vehicle in for a seized caliper in the rear. Peter was very detailed and conscientious, providing photos, and diagnosed the car as needing rear brake service. Both times I was kept well informed and charged reasonable prices for the work. Secondly, on my other car they were very hard working in getting a seized bolt unseized and completing my front and adjustments and four wheel alignment. I bring both my cars here and will continue to trust them with my automobile needs.

Had an excellent experience with Victoria Transmission & Auto care right from setting up the appointment to picking up the car. Shout out to Natalie, who was my service advisor. She patiently answered all my questions and the recommendations she provided helped me decide better. Happy with my car’s drive after service.

Gary & team have done more work on our vehicle (s) than I can mentally keep track of. Peter has been quick with email replies for scheduling appointments. Gary is always more than pleasant in phone calls (and in person) and is sure to thoroughly explain each service in layman's terms before and after it's completed. When he notices a potential issue, he doesn't push to have it fixed but rather educates us on the risks of leaving it unchecked so we can make our own informed decisions. This team has gone above and beyond to ensure our needs are being met and that our 18 year old vehicle will continue to have a long and healthy life.

They did a full check on my 2019 mazda cx3, as well as an oil change. I have found my new goto place for my car! These guys were AMAZING! Customer service was hands down the best I have experienced, an they really go above an beyond! These guys are great! They got my truck in right away and put two technicians on to get it repaired in a timely fashion so I could drive it long distance to home. They found some unexpected brake work, which I appreciated. They fixed it at a lower price than expected. I definitely recommend!

If you want honest and reliable service, than this is the place for you. We have taken our car to Victoria Transmission a few times now and found there service to be above par. We have always been very satisfied with the service we have received and above all there honesty and willing to give suggestions without charging an arm and a leg.

Victoria Transmission & Auto Care has been looking after my old beater cars for years. These cars are still on the road ONLY because they've received such great maintenance! This shop is honest, trustworthy, detailed, and staffed by genuinely compassionate people. Explanations and documentation are exquisitely detailed. I learn so much about the workings of my vehicle from these folks. I recommend them 100%. And I am SO grateful for their kind service over the many years I've been coming here.

We purchased a classic VW Eurovan knowing it needed a trans overhaul. I asked around Vancouver Island to find recommendations. Each buisness I asked from Victoria to Comox responded with Vic Trans. We used them. They took lots of time explaining every part of the expected process. Parts were pre-ordered so they were on hand if and when. They made a schedule and stuck to it even during the ''pandemic''. On a scheduled follow up visit they discovered an issue. Scheduled a second follow up and used 4 hrs rectifying the problem. Wow.definitely impressed with all aspects of taking my car to Victoria Transmission for a clutch replacement. Gary offered outstanding service. He showed me pictures of the old and new parts and gave a very understandable explanation of just what needed doing to get my car back in tip top condition. Very fair pricing and just outstanding service! I highly recommend this shop for all your mechanical needs and very highly recommend Gary!

Peter, Gary, and Natalee (sorry if I spelled anyone's name wrong) have been absolutely phenomenal. I have taken my vehicle in 3 times now (once for axle leak and transmission fluid change, once for vehicle inspection, and once for a very complicated emergency brake repair).

These folks are probably the most kind, helpful, and sincere people I have ever encountered in the automotive repair industry. I have been amazed at their outstanding customer service. This was my second visit to Vic Transmission and Auto Care and, not surprisingly, the level of care, professionalism, attention to detail and concern for the client's (i.e, my) experience was amazing. They were able to fully explain the work that was required, articulate why it was necessary, and work with me to ensure the work was completed in a very fair and cost-effective manner. I am a very loyal fan - I wouldn't think about going anywhere else. Peter, Gary and Natasha are batting 100% over two visits, and their mechanics obviously take pride in the quality of their work (Thanks Matt!). They have now fully overhauled my 2004 Toyota Tacoma and it is running like new! The only thing that is still original is the engine, with 420,000km, and if that ever goes I'll be back to ask the team to help me with that issue too. Keep up the amazing work and thanks again for delivering such excellent service and customer care ;-).

These guys will without question treat you better than any shop you've ever experienced. I have towed to this shop more than 30 times and have heard numerous customers give me the same review for their services so I figured it was time I give them a try. I was please to be greeted with humor, exemplary professionalism, and humility. Alongside their extensive and uncomfortable technical knowledge, they're brutally honest with their explanations and billing. I have supplied right hand drive car parts to almost every shop in Victoria, and they are by FAR the best priced. They will happily work with you to meet your budget as their aim, unlike other frog-related transmission shops, is not to slaughter the cash cow in one foul swoop and leave you walking out with a limp. These guys have gained a customer for life, and a customer that will continue to recommend them for years to come. Thank you so much you guys, you really are the best in Victoria.:)

Knowing this place was close to my house I used them for an inspection for my out of province vehicle. I knew something was fishy when they wanted to charge me almost 300 for a licence plate carriage for the front of the vehicle. To a grande total of 2700 (including inspection and licence plate carriage) estimate for all the work needed to be done to my vehicle. Without providing an alternate selection for the license carriage, i couldn't trust that the other findings they found needed fixing in order to pass inspection were legit. Will happily pay for an inspection at another place.

We aren't generally review writers, but Victoria Transmission & Auto Care is a business we trust completely. They have been servicing our vehicles for years and have always treated us with the utmost respect and care. For a person who isn't a "car guy", they've taken the time to explain vehicle issues to me and my wife in layman's terms. This is a business built on integrity and sound customer service principles: there are no hidden charges, they always let us know exactly what work is needed and why, and they complete their maintenance in a timely and efficient manner. We wouldn't even consider taking our vehicle anywhere else. This isn't just one of the best garages in Victoria, it's one of the best businesses period.

They never rush me, and always take time to explain everything - even drawing schematics if I'm not sure what they are talking about. They're honest, professional, and friendly. I've been driving and going to mechanics for a few decades now, and this is easily the best shop I've ever been to. They have kept my ancient pickup running clean and reliably for several years, all without upselling me on stuff I can't afford or telling me it's not worth fixing. I always go to Victoria Transmission for my repair work. They are helpful, friendly, get me in a soon as possible and trustworthy. I never feel I'm being pushed into repair work that I don't need. The are also reasonably priced and do warranty work. No need to go to your dealership when you can get the job done for a lot less at Victoria Transmission.

The transmission problems I was having with my BMW X3 initially caused some consternation as there were a number of possible issues that did not fit with the age and mileage on my car. Peter took a personal interest in not only finding the problem, but also in determining a solution that would save money on a potentially expensive job. He expressed the desire to treat my situation as if it was his own, and based on the results, I believe that he was sincere. Had we gone in for a full on repair, my cost could have been double what I ended up paying. Peter's communication and honest appraisal along with his earnestness gave me comfort in believing that my best interests were considered and that the ultimate repair resolved my problems. Since retrieving my car from the garage, it has performed as it should and, I expect, will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

I hate to give these guys such a high recommendation as too many people will start going there and make it more difficult for me to get in but praise where praise is due. These guys are tops in my opinion and certainly deserve 5+ stars. They go the extra mile.

Peter and his team did an excellent job on my Honda Accord 2003. The car was having a small rumbling located in the front. I took my car to 2 garages in Victoria, and they could not find the problem. Peter and his team spent only 1 hour to find the issue and provide a recommendation with a reasonable quote.

I had such a great experience with Victoria Transmission and Auto Care. It started off by me calling to get an estimate on some repairs that I was told were needed on my Mini Countryman. Peter was quick to get me a quote and talked me through how he would handle the repairs. I felt at ease with Peter and knew that I could trust him. I took my car in the next day to get the brakes, coolant, and a possible seal repair (that Peter wanted to inspect first) done. After an assessment of my car, Peter advised that the seal repair was not needed, saving me a significant amount of money. This was an all around good experience for me; the pricing was fair and the service was extraordinary. I will not hesitate to bring my car back to Peter for regular maintenance and any other work (knock on wood!) it may need.

I've been taking my cars - a MiniCooperS and an Audi A3 - to Peter, Gary and Fran for at least ten years... They're straight, knowledgeable, committed to service, and even fun. Most recently, the Audi key was stuck in the ignition... They traced the problem to a short circuit in the lock housing... Go figure! I wouldn't go anywhere else.

After being burned a few times by mechanics in the past, I was apprehensive about taking my vehicle some place after it died and I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. I went through their booking process online and managed to get my vehicle looked at the following morning.
