Been going here for a year now, thought I should leave a review. It rocks. Everyone is super friendly, the vibes are always immaculate. Would recommend

Havent been since COVID.i realized what a mistake that was.
Just the best people, the best atmosphere, and a darn good shave!

Nice place pretty good haircuts (second one I got here was quite bad so I can't recommend it)

Absolute pros, can do any style you're looking for, short, medium or long. Very nice atmosphere and super friendly barbers. Can't say enough.

The business was respectful of the time of the appointment. Fast and reliable service with accommodating staff. I was pleased with the ending result.

Barber cut the length on top way too short. He also didn’t style my hair when he said he would. He just put cream in my wet hair and was like “ I’m done”. Not worth $40

I have finally found my barber/stylist. Crystal can never quit. Sounds like Victory is a great work environment and she's pretty happy here so I'm not worried. I've tried a number of places over the last year in my quest for barbers who specialize in beards. Lots of people cut hair wonderfully, but beards? It's a whole other beast. I've got some pictures of god-awful trims to prove it. I will happily travel down from Nanaimo to get my hair cut here.

Sure, I followed Matty's beard trimming tutorials during the pandemic and they did in a pinch, but there's nothing like having a pro do the job right. Crystal is the best I've found. She's so lively and friendly and considering this was my first appointment with her, we chatted like old friends and I left feeling like I had the best haircut/beard trim in 3 years. Already booked my next appointment.

Usually have Roy as my barber who always knocks it out the park. However Victory’s new apprentice barber Colten cleaned me up today and did a stellar job! If you’re looking for a short cut/ clean up or Colton’s “speciality” (a mullet) then give the new kid a try, he’ll make ya handsome!

Every since my first haircut with Crystal to my most recent with Aahmes, people have complimented my hair and I swear people check me out more. I could blame my parents for my beautiful hair but honestly there was a massive shift from pre-VB to post-VB. In the past groups of people resoundingly agree my haircut was great. My entire class during Navy training in 2012, the bands I was in 2016-18, and that nice girl in Save-On I promptly fled from, they all remarked unsolicited that my haircut was great:)

Get a good haircut and a perfect beard trim. It's was an good chat with the staff too. I came from whistler for vacation and it was a well spent vacation time to get a beard trim in Victoria with this team. Just go for it

Amazing people who have vast ranges of experience, a large amount of products for all types of hair all nestled in a very warm environment and atmosphere that makes for an awesome haircut. Highly recommended.

My long time barber had been increasing his rates over the years and saw Victory was far cheaper so a I booked in last month. My barber was friendly and talkative and I enjoyed our banter. But I was left slightly disappointed with the cut itself.

My previous barbers attention to detail was so on point and I was expecting somewhat close to the same care and detail. Especially as my barber knew I was a new client. That wasn't the case as my cut was much shorter than what I wanted and had explained.

I've been to a couple $20 barbershops this year and the quality is pretty close to what I got at Victory.

Edit - Sent them 2 emails and and no response. Hope this isn't just lip service.

I had my first beard tune up in two years recently and it felt so nice to be groomed by a professional again. My beard looks great and I feel great too. The barbershop is such a sophisticated setting. The quality of service across the team is such a high level. This is the only shop I can get my favourite shave cream too.

I have been going to Victory for a few months and consistently have great experiences at this location. My barber Daryn is excellent at listening to how I want my hair to look then executing the cut flawlessly.

Besides being a pro with the clippers, Daryn is personable and treats me as he would with a friend, chatting about which video games we're playing, sharing tips and tricks and talking about what we're looking forward to next, then a half an hour later when the cut is finished I leave looking great.

I highly recommend Daryn and will continue to visit him every time I visit Victory.

I hate to put a negative review but it felt like the barber didn’t listen at all. I showed him a picture of the last haircut I got and walked away looking like one of the proud boys. I’ve had good haircuts here before but this one was just super disappointing.

I brought my husband here when we were in town for a proper barber appt & it did not disappoint! Super cool vintage vibe, excellent playlist, great products, awesome staff & an excellently executed haircut/ beard trim. Two thumbs up, all day long!

Sickest bald fades on the island BY FAR! Ive had over 20 people try and do my style haircut and they always fail. Jordan cut my hair, solid guy, great customer service and most important this guy knows how to do a sick skin fade. I prefer a really high fade with black hair which is really hard to pull off properly when the barber uses a shaver. My profile pic is not one of his cuts, I just luckily found this shop

Been here many times with different stylists. The atmosphere is great and my hair has never been messed up.

Great atmosphere with fun barbers that do a quality job (especially on middle-aged men). It's not the cheapest cut, but the location and experience is worth it.

Just got a cut here with Roy and am super happy with it! Very laid back vibe and Roy was extremely kind, easy to talk to and super professional. Will definitely go back:)

First time going here after moving to Victoria and so glad I found this barber. They did a great cut, provided good, thoughtful advice and the whole space just had a great vibe. I’ll be going back for sure!

Best barbershop in town. Easy and covenient to book an appointment and get a cut done. Kudos to justin he is my fav. He is knowledgable and actually listens to me.

My review used to read "Hit up my boy Doug. Do it. " Now that he is no longer cutting hair at Victory would I really recommend this place. Maybe? They can keep the five stars cause Doug was/is a legend.

Stuart Corkery gave me one of the best hair cuts I’ve ever received, his attention to detail and clear passion for cutting hair really showed in his work today. Stuart’s sense of humour and easy going attitude made my experience that much more enjoyable and made me feel more then comfortable at Victory. I look forward to seeing Stuart again in the future!

Stuart is hands down the best barber. Great service, atmosphere, and the place is clean. If you’re looking for someone that has perfected there craft this is the guy. I’ve been in and out of this shop and it’s always a great experience.

Got a haircut by Stuart. Great atmosphere in the shop and his station was clean. He was genuine and easy to talk to during the cut, and I will for sure be coming back

Visited here early April on a referral. Cut took over an hour. Looked fine at the front but wasn’t shown the back by the barber.

When I got home I looked at the back and there were several spots that were shaved shorter than the surrounding hair resulting in the appearance of “bald spots”. Not happy. Crown was also pretty uneven (in a bad way) at the tips of the comb over.

Poor covid protocols - music was loud and every barber chair was in use so you are within 2 m of up to 5 other people. This was the most expensive barber visit I’ve ever had. Not going back.

This is an arthouse filled with good and talented people. Come here to collaborate and share some laughs.

Love this place, dont get my hair cut often but when i do i always come here. Ask for josh if you want a wicked haircut and a great conversation. Nothing but good things to say about this place.

Update: went back, this time with Justin. The best haircut I ever had! Highly recommend. Changing my review to 5.

Love the atmosphere and the staff. I've been going there since I moved to Victoria in 2018. They are good, they are busy. I would just like that they take more time on their services. Overall, the best barbershop in the region.

First time getting my hair cut and over all very impressed. Professional, diligent, attention to detail, unreal vibes, and super cute dogs chilling in the shop. Also, love the General Store selection (merchandise) and the interior design. Will be back for sure:)

Shout out to Ryan and the other staff for top-Drawer service and cut-to-order styling. Clean efficient, skilled, and pleasant. The #1 place in Victoria without question.

Great place to get a haircut and a shave for a great price. Barbers are friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced.

Jordan is talented, funny, and quick. The staff have never been short of friendly and helpful. I am now an every 2 months regular and have no reason to even consider other options.

Was in this morning for a cut and a shave. The cut was fantastic, the shave left a lot to be desired. Three hours later my face is suggesting that I forgot to shave this morning. I don't exactly have a lumberjack beard.
I hate to say it but I get a closer shave with my mug, soap and my dollar shave club razor. Yes, it's a lovely experience full of ritual, lotions and hot towels, but $80 and a good tip later I feel like this was an experience that I won't repeat. Sorry guys.

I'm writing this review even though I've never been in here, however, I'm writing it from the perspective of a fellow barber that shares his clients with Justin Mansbridge.

I own a shop in Penticton, BC, and him and I have some clients in common. Some of them live here and go to school in Victoria, some of them the opposite. The work that I see coming back here in the off season is amazing and I couldn't be happier sending my guys out his way. From what they tell me he is very professional and a really nice guy to talk to. We talk from time to time on Instagram and he's a wicked dude.

Go check him out at the shop and I promise you'll get a great haircut and some great conversation.

Had a great experience with Josh. He is a cool guy - talks a mile a minute and gives a fantastic cut.

Warm and hip interior with a friendly atmosphere. Every barber I've had here has been great. I had a friend who didn't used to go to the barber and I've converted him with this place. It's quite popular so I find it's best to book in advance.

I don't normally leave reviews right after getting a service. That being said, my haircut is extremely fresh and I can't find the right word so decided to write a review as I'm walking to get to my car on this snowy day. Big thanks to my barber, Teresa (Hoping I didn't pull a Starbucks here).

One of the guys there, I dont remember his name but he was a student, wasn't even PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED and he completely botched my haircut. From a place with such high review I was shocked that they'd allow some dude to just have at it with no proper training in cutting people's hair. If you do end up getting a haircut at this place, make sure you dont get it from a guy with "3 years of experience"

First time here. I walked in and had Joy as my barber. Joy didn't cut any corners and was extremely detail orientated. I'm very happy with my haircut which is saying something because I'm hard to please. The atmosphere is amazing. The owner makes you feel at home. He personally came over to me to shake my hand knowing this was my first time. I HIGHLY recommend Status Barber to anyone. I'll be back.

Had one of the best cuts my son and I ever had here. Great vibe in the shop. Walk ins are possible but best to make an appointment. Solid selection of good products. Update: Still getting great, reliable cuts here and though my cuts are a bit more hipster that I sometimes want but they still great barber crafters here.

I was pretty disappointed with my experience. I’ve had better conversations with French waitstaff, the quality of my cut was average, and I didn’t get a good vibe. I’m not going to be back.

Once in a couple years I get a haircut that I can model all future haircuts on and this one by Justin was exactly that. He said he was new and therefore not too booked up and selfishly I hope it doesn't get harder to get in to see him, but the secret is out!

Have tried many others since I moved to Victoria and will always go back to these guys. They will tell you if the hair cut you want will work with your hair and not just attempt to make it work. They will always discuss options and styles. Love the atmosphere of the shop.

Came in for a beard trim with Crystal and asked to take an inch off the bottom of my beard and clean it up. The Barber cut off nearly all of my mustache without asking me, I asked her to round off the bottom of my beard a bit more and she instead cut the sides of my beard down to my cheeks. It's going to take months to grow back the damage.

Usually I cut my boyfriend's hair and beard myself but this time I really needed a break and some help from a professional. This was the second time I managed to convince him to go (the first time he said the barber was very rude so it took some coaxing). First five minutes the barber told him he knew nothing about hairstyles when he tried to tell him what he wanted so my boyfriend sat in uncomfortable silence for 30 minutes while the barber completely botched it. When asked if he could trim the beard the barber refused to listen and just gave an uneven buss along the sides. Long story short I spent an hour fixing the damage myself and was charged 60$ for it. You want something done right just do it yourself.

Doug is an amazing barber, great experience every time. Just make sure you book a few days in advance as they are always busy!

Josh and Matt have created a very cool room, and filled it with an amazing staff. My barber Paul puts you quickly at ease, as it becomes obvious he is a master of his craft

Great products! I absolutely love my apron and get tons of compliments on it. Also great customer service. I highly reccomend!

Haircuts were good, but this place is not very service oriented as others have said. I expected a bit more for what I was paying. Staff is knowledgeable, but I felt unwelcome. I went there two times, both of my barbers were rude and unfriendly. I'm not going back.
