Great food, busy but prompt service. Spicy tofu curry was a medium, a solid medium of 4/10 spice level. Braised beef with rice was soft and juicy. A bit stingy with the rice portion but the pickled vegetables were delicious. Would come again

Small but it's the first Vietnamese restaurant that I had finished the house special pho right to the very last drop of soup! So delicious!

Casual Vietnamese restaurant, ideal for pho on a chilly, rainy day. Like everything else, the price went up significantly, but the cleanliness & taste is above average.

1 rice noodle roll cut in half for $7 was definitely not worth it, but house special & red wine beef stew is worth it.

Really awesome Vietnamese restaurant with tons of gluten free options as well as regular options. Prices are super fair. We got the Shaken beef and Duck curry (GF) and both were super delicious. Can’t wait to come back

Staff seems very friendly and service was good. Food was very delicious and broth wasnt too bad.

Their bahn mi is also pretty good.

The pho, duck confit and crab noodles are so delicious.
The place is small but tables are turned quickly and the servers work so fast.

I got my House Special Pho bowl in 5min. Don't know what the rest of the menu taste like, but if you need pho on a rainy day like today, come here for a huge bowl of hugs.

OMG! This place is amongst the best Vietnamese places I’ve ever had.
Service is very prompt. There could be a wait for you as it is a very busy and popular restaurant but you won’t be waiting for long. Be prepared to wait though!
Prices are affordable as well. The only thing is some food items on the menu have different names than they usually have at other Vietnamese places.
Will definitely be back and recommend this place to other people!

Came here for a late lunch on the weekend and ordered the #17 pho with assorted beef (tendon, beef ball, raw beef slices). Broth was warm and flavourful and very generous with herbs and bean sprouts! Very filling and service was good - someone came to always fill my tea / water. I love this local pho restaurant. Will come back soon!

Live cockroach was in my food. I was offered a replacement, but lost appetite and got a refund. Don't think I will ever come back again if I have to worry about the cleanliness of my food.

Great vegetarian pho! Loved the veggies especially the bok choi, veggie broth is a bit plain but otherwise one of the best veggie pho i’ve had, and awesome that they are open late.

I ordered the fish cake noodle. The homemade fish cake is superb. The downside: the broth is a bit oily and flavourless. I would have liked more veggies. And finally, the white spaghetti like noodles is a disappointment. Vermicelli, ba mi or egg noodles would have been so much better. An additional positive side: it’s open late. Given the opportunity, I will likely return.

Ordered the house special, it was decent but not a ton of flavour. +1 star for being open late. I'd say 3.5/5 for flavour

Not your typical neon-signed Vietnamese restaurant.

This place has easily become one of our favourite late night eats with the restaurant welcoming guests up until 12am.

It offers a warm atmosphere with kind wait staff and some tasty Vietnamese eats.

I particularly gravitate towards their lemongrass dishes on rice, house special pho, and deep fried banana dessert.

Unfortunately, I would say skip the beef short ribs, hot & sour seafood soup, and the wings as they’re not really worth drooling over.

Despite that, I still return for the warm friendly atmosphere and staff

Cozy and warm Vietnamese restaurant. Food was beautifully presented and very tasty. Service quick and friendly. Really enjoyed our meal here and will definitely come back for more. Prices are reasonable and pay parking on the street is usually plentiful.

I appreciate that gluten free dishes are clearly marked on the menu. Quick service. I recommend the vegetarian coconut curry.

Completely disappointed I ordered the vegetarian pho. It was the the most unfavoured pho for me that I’ve ever had very bland they only had pieces of bok choy in it and the service was not good I was ignored I had asked for tea I waited and waited and then I ordered another dish and I still didn’t get the tea and the waitress ignored me and never came to my table again I felt really disrespected here and I will never return

Small portions at expensive prices. Server wasn’t helpful and service was horrible. Will not come here again. I gave this place a few chances. Customers have to pay for tea as well!

I was headed to different store was closed that day. So I went here instead. The pho was pretty good and also fried squid. Except the squid dipping sauce. I don't think it's goes well with it.

Friendly servers and speedy service. My favorite is #18. Very yummy! Most important of all, I never get that insane thirst after eating.

This is a nice little Vietnamese restaurant on Cambie with good food. The service was quick, clean and the host was polite. My favourite part was the beautiful pot of jasmine tea that they served. All in all a great place to have a quick bite.

Had the pho here multiple times with friends before and during covid. Pho here is consistent and I would come back for it if I was in the area. Only thing is portions are small for the price.

The menu is large, with lots of drinks and western dishes. I don't like the non-viet dishes here. The duck is okay but disappointing compared to versions of this elsewhere. Rice was half a bowl. I would recommend the noodle soups, bun bo hue and pho. Add extra order of noodles.

Street parking.

Covid: it's pretty cramped. Sometimes the back of chairs from two tables touch and it's hard to keep distance.

The broth is on point. Pho dac biet was great and they had a big slice of tendon. Bowl is just enough so if you're really hungry order a side.

Food was good but we didn't like the spring rolls. Not the same as the crispy ones you expect at a Viet place, more like Chinese takeout spring rolls. Aside from that everything was great.

Had such a great experience here! Friendly service and delicious food. The pho was one of the best I’ve had, super fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend Viet House, will definitely be bringing my friends here from now on!

Viet House is a recent new favourite of mine for their flavourful broths, perfect portion sizes, and fair prices — all of which are available late (til midnight), when almost every other kitchen in the area is closed. Even if it’s the only option available, it’s a great place to end up. Cheap and cheerful with no complaints.

I went to viet house with my husband and we ordered stir fried doodles, coconut curry and shrim fried rice and these all three dishes was awesome we loved it and now we go every sunday and there service is also good and very good atmosphere

Came here for both dine in and take-out. Definitely not your typical pho-serving Vietnamese restaurant, instead it’s more of an pan-Asia fusion style of food. I ordered the caramelized pork belly rice, which is reminiscent of a Shanghainese dish. It’s very tasty but high in calories, so not something that I can eat often.

Dine in is great here cuz their Ac is cool and nice, but the music is a bit loud, makes conversation hard.

Found this little place by chance and very glad I did. Excellent food, fast service and nice location. A little disappointed with the ambiance, was a bit to brightly lit for the evening, but overall lovely! Had the Rice Noodle Roll and the Duck Leg Mantou! Highly recommend!

As we were driving down Cambie, my aunt spotted this place out of the corner of her eye and pulled over immediately. Best decision EVER. Viet House is amazing. We were able to sit in without fear as there was air flow in the restaurant, and the staff were always wearing their masks. They were very kind, and made sure to double check our orders so it was all correct. I had the wonton noodle soup and was thoroughly impressed! The portion was huge, the broth was light and flavourful, the Bok Choy was fresh and not overcooked, the noodles (which were not skimped on!) were the perfect texture, and the wontons, oh the wontons! They were absolutely stunning. I have had a lot of wontons in my life, and these handmade bundles of joy were perfect - the right size, texture, and flavour. I mixed together the small bowl of sauces they gave to me (hoisin (I think), sriracha, and chili oil) and stirred it into the broth and it added just the right kick and a touch of sweetness which was very pleasant! After dinner, we shared the coconut tapioca with mango pudding, and it was a delight! The mango pudding was shaped like a rose, and while it was definitely frozen at one point, I don't think that was a problem - it was like mango sorbet. The coconut tapioca was a perfect contrast to the mango, and I absolutely loved it. My aunt and I have been searching for a Vietnamese restaurant that is open late on Mondays, and we both agreed that this is a new favourite! We will definitely be coming back! Recommended 100%

Been here a couple of times and the food amazes me every time! One the few places I miss so much after moving away from the neighbourhood.

One of my favourite Vietnamese places in Vancouver! I always order vermicelli bowls, and this was the one with lemongrass chicken, served with green lettuce, bean sprouts, cucumber, and pickled carrots. Their noodles are the perfect thin-ness, and most importantly, are light and springy to the bite. Many other places don’t do the noodles quite like at Viet House.

There’s also a generous amount of meats, and other options for the vermicelli bowl include lemongrass pork or beef. For a side of spring rolls, you can add $3.00, and those are always served fresh, nice and hot!

Sad to say that I have to edit my good review.
Picked up our dinner tonight and the herbs in the pho are old and slimy (these really should have been thrown out days ago), and the portion for the caramelized Pork Belly is very underwhelming, it's just a big box a white rice.

Awesome food. Their beef stew was so flavorful. The pho was awesome too. They also have a kids meal with a few smaller size options. My kid has the vermicelli bowl with lemongrass chicken and loved it. Definitely a place to visit if you like Vietnamese food.

My favourite Vietnamese restaurant in the city. Every dish I’ve tried has been tasty and comforting, and nicely presented. Their duck dishes are really good, as well as their subs. Their pho is also amazing!

Great Vietnam decoration and their pho dac biet is amazing. The broth is not oily and taste great (you can tell they use a lot of herbs and meat/bones to make the soup)
