Stopped at the village food market for some snacks. They offered some well made sandwiches and a hidden room full of chips and pop. The best part about this location was they had a puppy parking lot. A safe place in the shade where you can put your best friend while doing a quick grocery shopping.

Lack of products you'd find in a bigger store, it's elbow to elbow with no AC on the hottest day of the year, definitely no break on prices, pass.

Great local grocery store. 2 to choose from in Sooke and I prefer the meat selection at this one.

Slightly price for a big shop, but often have great sales if you look. I got huge boxes of chicken legs for $9.99 last time I was there. Amazing Dea!

Produce and meat are decent prices and it's overall the best quality food in Sooke. Staff are always friendly and remember regular customers! I recommend them any day if the week

We ordered a birthday cake for my grandson who was turning 19. The cake was great, it was obviously freshly baked, the icing decorations were really very nice and best of all, everyone at our table commented on how nice the cake was and how it wasn't either dried out or had too much sugar in the icing. I have always been happy with the Village Food Market bakery products but this cake was something special. Thanks!

It's nice to not shop at a huge chain grocery store. Village Food Market is a great alternative with a friendly staff and surprisingly competitive pricing.

Love the staff here, and the selection! A little more pricy than somewhere like Super Store or Walmart, but not as pricy as a Thrifty's.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. The store is always well stocked and the produce exceptionally fresh.

Nice enough store but we try to avoid shopping here too much because it is extremely expensive.
