It’s a beautiful store in a great location. They have tons of selection from new to old that spans all genres.

The owner was friendly enough and I had a good time browsing through the records.

However, if you’re looking to buy vinyls, I would highly recommend that you to look elsewhere unless you’re dying to listen to that album. The prices are much higher than other places so just soak in the atmosphere, have fun discovering new albums, and find a better deal.

The store takes the absolute piss when it comes to prices, even for Vancouver. Owner is awkward and re-prices records in front of you. Avoid.

Absolutely INSANE prices - Go to any of the other record stores in the area - You'll avoid the weirdness of being followed around by the owner while you look and the eventual frustration of feeling the need to take out a bank loan to buy one record.

Good selection but not cheap. $60-75 for newer albums. $30 for older indie albums. A good 40% more than other places. A shame as there were quite a few i wanted.

Prices here are ridiculous. Beat Street Records nearby is more affordable and has a better used selection.

DO. NOT. EVER. GO. HERE! I had the worst experience EVER almost 3 years ago when he was on Hastings. The owner followed me around thinking I was going to steal, yelled at me in front of other customers for laying down two vinyl (so I could take a picture of them meanwhile he had a stack of 20 or so off to the side), ripped a record right out of my hands (not even exaggerating) and took it to the front. When i called him out on pricing a Taylor Swift RSD at $500 we got into a fight and he started yelling at me telling me i don’t know what i was talking about and when I wasn’t listening and standing my ground, he turned to my boyfriend and told him to “control his girlfriend because she’s getting out of hand”. I left the store while he continued to yell at me and embarrass me in front of customers waiting outside. Never have i been treated so disrespectfully in my life. I would never recommend this shop unless you want to be harassed. The owner is the Gaslighter of Gastown.

A great selection but unfortunately will not be back due to the rudeness of the staff. Also closed the store, when it was full of people, 10 minutes early. Wouldn’t recommend.

Edit: Seems after changing locations its still an incredibly over priced store. Not worth it.
Amazing selection of records, but if you don't want to be charged an arm and a leg for something you can get cheaper somewhere else. Don't come here. Most brand new records are between 30-50% more expensive than other stores or Amazon. And even used records have a ridiculous markup.

Although great selection, it is overpriced and the staff is not friendly at all when asking questions and following at me on every movement. Sad as it’s a beautiful store.

Over priced, once witnessed the owner yelling at his staff. Just a very rude person & ridiculous prices

I just phoned this place today looking for 10” inner sleeves for my water-damaged sleeves and before I could even finish my question, the owner talked over and interrupted me. Extremely unprofessional behaviour and language from him. “Just keep looking around, I don’t pay attention to what other people do. ”

I talked to FIVE different record stores today (Red Cat, Neptoon, Audiopile, Beat Street, Zulu) and not ONE, except this place, reprimanded me for asking one simple question.

A typical Discogs scalper runs this store. If you’re a tourist visiting the area, please save your bucks and buy from elsewhere. Neptoon, the oldest record store in town, is a great example. Beat Street is right nearby, their stock is expansive AND at retail prices.

If I could, zero stars. But sure, one star for the pretty location.

This is a great shop if you like meticulously organized vinyl, and the selection size is quite large but if you actually want to purchase a record, or browse the stacks without an employee peering over your shoulder or following you around, then I would direct you the far superior shops outside gastown (Neptoon, Red Cat, Audiopile, etc.).

Judging by the astoundingly high price of their records, I’ve got to assume the rent for their space must be ridiculous. Believe me, anything you find there can likely be found at another shop for 30-40% cheaper.

Support small and local business but not at the expense of a comfortable environment and decent pricing.

This place is cool. It is a bit costly but if you have extra money to spend i totally recommend it!

Go to Audiopile on commercial instead. Way better pricing and staff aren't chasing you down when you get too close to their limited edition vinyls that they are selling for only $99

Rude staff, if you just take take the CD out from the shelf just wanna take a look and not buy it, the guy there will scold u because you didn’t buy it

Prices are marked up but the store has some of the best selection of music and the owner is really excited about his records which makes the overall experience great.

Great selection but overall every item too pricey - lots of items around 10 dollars too much if not much more. Shame as nice ambience and great selection.

This place has a very nice selection of vinyl dabbling in every genre. If you are desperately looking for a specific vinyl this might be the place. The store is well laid out and not too cluttered. The only down side is the price of vinyl. I could not find any used vinyl less than $30-$35. I don’t know when a used mass produced Foreigner vinyl became $35 when I can buy a new one for almost the same price. It defeats the purpose of buying used vinyl for cheap. Definitely miss when you could pick up most of these for less than $10. Good luck picking!
