It's Halloween night, and I walk in, not knowing what I wanted, and the attendant was so nice and went out of his way to help me decide.
Very personable, and great prices.
10/10 recommend!

If you pursue different styles of beer, don't choose this one. This store no longer pays attention to selling beer.

Best little liquor store in blocks and friendliest staff.
They should open a pub next door.

Came in last Summer (2020), and was told my assistant (I am mostly blind and physically disabled) had to stand 6 feet away from me. Tried to explain the situation (we were a bubble and I require assistance) and was talked over by what seemed to be the manager before being told if we didn't comply we would be asked to leave.

I was embarrassed and upset as I cannot lift more than a can at a time alone, and cannot read the labels easily, so we left and have not returned since, despite previously being regular customers.

Honestly if I could give them zero stars would. The staff didn’t have masks and were being kind of jerks and poking fun at me for keeping my distance and not wanting to stand next to these unmasked strangers. Over all a really gross experience and made me feel really bad. I live in the neighborhood and had gone a couple times before but I probably will never go back and am happy to walk the extra fifteen minutes to Toby’s.

Nice little neighborhood store. Good selection for the size of the shop. Really liked the person working at the store, very helpful and honest when he didn't know an answer which I appreciate.

I agree with Kevin's review below - friendly, nobody makes you feel like a thief.

As a person of colour I have experienced this in most of the liquor stores especially in East Van, the staff is always scanning us because of their bias. This place and JAK's on Knight/41st are the only 2 places I didn't feel this. Staff was super friendly and unlike other places didn't keep hovering close or asking what I wanted.

Superb selection of European beers - tried Polish and Icelandic beer for the first time. Also lots of Scandinavian and German beers. Price is good and is usually not crowded.

The product offering gets better all the time. But this place has tons of character. In the past three or four years (can't recall when it opened), I've met and become friends with some of the great folks who work here. Great neighbourhood stop. I give it five 'cause it makes me happy.

Friendly staff, great range of local and import beers. Dog friendly store, even offered the pooch a treat!
