Viva Java.

Best coffee place in town. Even when we go on vacation overseas, we find Viva Java to be the best. We have been supporting this independently owned coffee place for over 30 years. Artie roasts his coffee beans every morning and one can smell the coffee aroma while driving along Bridgeport and Garden City. We love his Mocha, Latte and Cappuccino. There is absolutely no need for any flavours to be added as the coffee needs to be enjoyed as is. There is usually nice music playing and when the weather is warm, we love sitting outside on his picnic table outside. Great place to catch the sunset and they even have Sunflowers in the summer for you to enjoy while having awesome coffee. We also enjoy very interesting conversation with Artie about current local and global affairs. If you are a true coffee lover, head to Viva Jaya and skip places like Starbucks, Waves, Blenz. You won’t regret it.

The customer service is great at Viva Java, they take pride in their top quality beans and always make the best mocha every time! I’ve been getting my coffee from here for years and will continue to because nothing compares to it. I always end up returning to Viva Java because the taste and quality is unmatched. The coffee is truly amazing - you haven’t tasted real coffee until you’ve tried Viva Java. I highly suggest Viva Java to all of my family and friends that are coffee lovers

How much do we like their coffee? We drove all the way from downtown Van to have this coffee -in rush hour.

I have been getting my coffee beans from Viva Java (Arti) for about the last 20 years and have not found anyone who can roast coffee as well as Viva Java

Hole in the wall, off the beaten path, hidden gem all of these apply. These people do coffee really well. I got a mocha that had a hint of cinnamon and hubby got a Americano. They only sell coffee no baked goods

So glad I stopped here. Cash only, fantastic freshly roasted coffee. The owner is totally dedicated to his craft and was as authentic as his coffee!

Over rated coffee shop. I ordered a latte, and it was alright. Nothing surprised me. If I have to come here just for the coffee, I wouldn’t bother.

Everything is organic, best iced mocha I've ever had. Might be the best coffee in all of Vancouver. Very friendly owner. Roasted in house daily, even does small batches made to order.

When you come to Richmond, you must try this coffee shop. The old shop is fun and friendly, and the coffee is rich in fragrance. You will definitely like it if you try it

I'm already looking forward to tomorrow morning's cup of coffee. It's seriously amazing. I'll be riding the high of the mocha I ordered all day. I would detour a trip to go here.

After coming back from a long trip around Asia, I was struggling to satisfy my craving for high-quality coffee in coffee franchises around Richmond and Vancouver.

I stumbled across Viva Java as it was near where I lived, and the depth of flavor in the coffee amazed me. Instead of only being bitter, like the coffee you'd find at starbucks, it had nutty and floral notes. This shop quickly became my routine.

Highly recommend their mocha or americano!

He said it'd be the best mocha we ever got, and wow was he right. The temperature, strength of the roast and the aroma are all perfect, same goes for the latte. Bought a bag to start and looking forward to trying all their beans. Might've just found the best coffee in town.

This isn't an uptown coffee shop that's pretty to sit and take ins photos, but if you're serious about your coffee and looking for great beans, drop by and say hi to the lovely couple.

Owner was weirdly angry and aggressive for no reason at all. Had to leave. Never got to actually coffee.

I dunno, I heard a lot of great reviews from people even at their old location and it has always smelled great when I drove past.
Not the greatest environment there, nothing to look at, no calming cafe to sit in.
When we dropped by offering only take-away disposable cups. Hmm. The coffee was ok, not particularly amazing but nothing offensive either. Beating Starbucks is not a high bar though. People were certainly raving about the mocha and so was the owner. Our evaluation was.what? It was waaaay to sweet and not well balanced, the coffee aroma was completely overpowered so you might as well have been drinking a slightly flavoured hot chocolate.
Meh, I don't think I'd return unless I hear a really good explanation to sway me otherwise. There's better places in town.

Simply the best! Small batch, roasted fresh every day. I moved from the Lower Mainland to Vancouver Island & I can’t find anything close over here. Thankfully this wonderful couple will mail out my order to me. Viva-Java is my first stop when I get back to town!

Many good people have commented on how good the Mocha is.they are 100% right! Great little coffee place and nice lady making them too!

The couple seems super lovely and friendly. I stopped by to grab a cup of coffee. Their Large cup size is actually a Medium cup and the Medium is actually a small cup. I ordered a Large latte which is $6 but it was only filled 3/4 of the way and not quite a latte. Wouldn't stop by for another cup of coffee but would love to try out their beans that people give raving reviews about
