I am very pleased with my experience at the Volt E Bike store in Port Coquitlam. Joemar, the service technician, was extremely knowledgeable on the products I was enquiring about. Joemar is a credit to the Volt Ebike business.

The bikes themselves are hit or miss, but the customer service is atrocious, so best hope you don’t need anything from them when your bike fails.

Summary – the bike and the hardware is great, but Voltbike has been a disappointment when it comes to quality and after-sales support.

Well, this is a tough review to write. I really wanted to like Voltbike, but unfortunately my experience hasn’t been too great after the bike was delivered.
The initial experience went fairly well. I ordered a Bravo bike on July 10th 2022 and the bike shipped on July 21st. The site said “in-stock and ships in 3 days”, but it was a total of 9 business days. No big deal. I also made a mistake with my phone number on the order and they reached out to correct the mistake so that might have been the source of the delay.
I received my bike on July 25th which was impressive because it shipped across Canada over the weekend. The shipping box was in great condition with no major dents or scratches.
Bike assembly was straight-forward and quick, but I did notice 2 issues as soon as I removed the packaging from the handle bar: 1- The shifter was cracked and damaged, and 2- there was some damage underneath the throttle near the red pushbutton.
A quick test ride confirmed the damage. The bike could only shift between a couple of gears and the throttle was non-functional.
I took the shifter apart to better understand the damage and saw that several internal components were completely warped and damaged. I also took the pushbutton out of the throttle and found that the button was completely smashed up and all the internal components of the button fell out.
I submitted a ticket that same day explaining the issues hoping to hear back within a few days. 2 weeks have now gone by and there’s been no word from Voltbike. I tried calling a few times, but could never get through. Unfortunately you get disconnected from the call after waiting for a few minutes.
Having heard nothing from Voltbike after the first week, I decided to source my own parts and do the repairs myself.
To repair the throttle, I went to a local electronics shop and bought a replacement button. I de-soldered the old button and soldered the new one in. It fit perfectly and worked perfectly. My bike now had a full working throttle.
To repair the shifter, I went to the local MEC and bought a Shimano 7-speed shifter from the same product line as the original shifter that shipped with the bike. The old shifter was taken out, swapped with the new one, and I only had to do some slight adjustments to the rear derailleur to make everything work well. I was now able to easily shift between all 7 gears.
The bike works great now and I really like it. Honestly, I got lucky that I had the tools and skills to be able to source components and make the repairs myself.
My issues are the following:
• I decided to buy at Voltbike since they inspect bikes before shipping. Having noticed no damage to the box or packaging and seeing broken components once delivered make me wonder if they actually inspected the bike.
• No word or support after 2 weeks on a 2.2k product. I was totally OK with having to do the work myself to replace components. I would have been a happy customer if they would have simply shipped $50 worth of components to me.
• Spent about 5 hours of my time sourcing components. Again, I don’t mind the time required to actually replace the components, but it was hard to find the right components especially when there’s no support from the vendor.
Unfortunately, I can’t recommend Voltbike at this moment.
I’ll keep this review updated as I use the bike more.

UPDATE: I've had this bike for 1.5 years and so far everything still works great. Good bike, just be sure you're comfortable with doing repairs yourself. I never got contacted by Voltbike to follow-up on the issues.

Our first Voltbike was a success, so we ordered a second for our teenager in time for back to school. The second one worked for a day. We called and did some troubleshooting with the technical team. They suggested we swap out the screen and test the screen on the old bike to troubleshoot the problem with the old screen. The result was that BOTH SCREENS BROKE. We sent them back. No response. They asked to send the battery of the new bike back, we did. Again, no response. So now I have two useless non-functional e-BIKES for an entire month AND they won't return our emails and the voicemail box is full. VERY frustrating. VoltBikes are good, until they break, and then the service is terrible.

I bought one of the first Voltbikes years ago when it was 2 guys in a shared warehouse. It lasted many years and now I bought a new Yukon. Joemar went way above and beyond to diagnose issues with my old bike and get this new one working right. This guy was calling me back in his off hours to help. First class treatment. Very pleased.

Bought the Volt Bravo. I am happy with the quality, value and after sales service. I would highly recommend buying ebike from Volt Bike.

We got a Bravo V2 and an Elegant V2, my wife and I really enjoy our Voltbikes! It’s a solid, sleek looking bike! The company offers excellent and quick service. It’s also great that they are located in British Columbia, Canada. Thank you Voltbikes!

I had excellent service both with sales and the technical department. The bike was delived fully assembled and ready to go. They always answered the phone when I called, and sent Alex, their technician, all the way out to UBC to correct a problem I had Alex was amazing and really knew the Trio.
Excellent customer service.
Thank you Voltbike

Update, Aug. 10,2023
So Voltbike contacted me back a full week after my initial email complaint, pleading for an apology while completely dodging the issue of the twisted rack frame, saying they "will have a look into that and get the correct bolts sent to you asap". Let me be completely clear about the rack they sent me - it's completely UNUSABLE. I'm dropping my review from 2-stars to 1-star.

Chief Complaint:
Three days ago I sent an email to Sales regarding the rear passenger rack I ordered direct from Voltbike. Since they have not responded to me in a reasonable amount of time, I feel obligated to write this review.

While $200 for a rear rack seems inflated, I was willing to pay full price in order to buy direct from Voltbike, presuming high quality manufacturing and good quality control.

I could not have been more wrong.

The rack arrived over two-weeks after ordering, in a box too small, TWISTED and unusable, shipped with fastening bolts too small.

While the Kodiak I purchased has been great so far, the website claims 5-day shipping for "in-stock" items. While the Kodiak and the rear rack were both listed as "in-stock", they did not ship until 2 weeks after ordering.

I suspect that Voltbike is dropshipping the rack and other parts from China, given the shipping time and the lack of quality control on the rack.

Because of the above circumstances, I cannot recommend purchasing the rack or other welded accessories, and I am hesitant to recommend Voltbike in general.

I have a voltbike enduro and live on Vancouver island so getting it to a voltbike service center is not a easy option.
Unfortunately parts like bearings and axles are not available.

I like my bike it's seems well built and was easy to assemble the bit there was. The downfall of this company is their customer service seems to be non existent. My issue is simple. Voltbike if you read this could you answer one of the 3 emails I have now sent you. Any emails I sent prior to the purchase were answered within an hour.

I really wanted to leave a higher star review for this company, but after experiencing such poor customer service, I can't. There were problems right from the initial order.

I ordered 2 bikes from Volt last August and were told they would be shipped in October. October came and went and still no email that the bikes had shipped. Upon reaching out to the company, I was told there was a holdup on the shipment because of shipping containers and as soon as they got them, my bikes would be shipped. No problem, but I asked that if there were any further delays to shipping, I be notified. Long story short, I was not kept informed on the bike status and they didn't end up getting shipped until December.

Upon unboxing, I did notice some damage to the gearshift on my bike, but thought it could just be a cosmetic issue, which I didn't care about, but still took a photo to document. Being in Edmonton, my partner and I did not get to ride the bikes for 5 months, when Spring arrived. Two months into riding the bikes (only about 150km logged on the bikes), the gearshift stopped working and would only work in gears 3-6, not ideal). I emailed Volt and sent them the picture I took upon unboxing of the damaged gearshift. A week went by and I still hadn't heard from Volt. I sent another email and stated that I was ready to leave a poor review for their service. I received a very prompt response, of course, that they'd sent a replacement gear-shift.

Fast-forward one month (only another 75km clocked on the bike), and now the throttle button (which is on the same side as the gearshift) won't stay pressed in, which leaves me without use of the throttle. Obviously the bike sustained damage to that handle bar in shipping, which I understand can happen. I sent an email about the throttle. I got one initial response asking me to send a picture of the throttle, and radio silence since sending that picture. I have now sent multiple emails and tried to call multiple times (only to be sent to voicemail) but no response.

It seems like the company responds when reviews are written, so this was my last resort. This company came highly recommended by friends who bought their bikes a few years ago, and according to them, customer service back then was great. After hearing my stories about my experiences, they will not recommend these bikes to anyone, and neither will I. After spending $4500 on their products, I would expect better, prompter service.

Bike took longer to arrive than expected but was worth the wait. Assembly time was twenty minutes. In the first three day we put 60 miles on the bike and it operated perfectly. So far I could not be happier with my purchase.

I received my Yukon V2 a few days ago and I love it! The only thing I would prefer if there was a few more gears but I assume this is done on purpose to keep the speed down. Delivery took almost a month so this was disappointing as it is supposed to ship within 5 days and nobody keeps you informed. I find the user manual also very minimalistic.
The most important is however the product, which seems to be high quality. I do highly recommend this bike.

In-store experience was great! Joemar helped us with the pick up and gave so much help. He was very knowledgeable and kind. And we are having so much fun riding voltbikes. Thank you!

My bike came pretty quick was assembled perfectly. The wheels had no lose spokes there was all boxes checked.
The bike appears very good quality was a excellent value compared to other e-bikes similar.
Got decent responses when communicating.
I have nothing bad to say.
The free helmet was not junk but a high quality dot certified helmet,
Bike performed well out of the box.
One of the most comfortable e-bikes I’ve owned and I have owned a dozen over the years.
Wish I could have afforded two

The people working here are amazing, all of them are cheerful and helpful. Whenever I asked for a favor, they were always smiling and never frowned, taking care of everything. It was crowded when I went, but they never made anyone feel upset and assisted everyone with the same kindness. I am very happy that I shopped here, and I want to thank each and every one of them separately.

Very poor customer service as noted by others. No communication what so ever. I ordered the Elegant V2 June 16 and the website states it will be shipped within 5 business days. I called customer service a week after the order and was informed that it would be ready the following week. Here we are almost 4 weeks later and no updates and no replies back to my emails or phone calls to customer service. I made one last this morning and was advised that I would receive an email correspondence with an update as the customer service rep could not see anything on their end. Very disappointed with the lack of communication.

I ordered two Kodiaks and only one came with the road tires advertised on the website. The other one came with knobby Mountain bike tires. This is not what I wanted or what I purchased. I don't want Mountain bike tires on a commuter bike. Just like I wouldn't want road tires on my Mountain bike or, winter tires on my car during the summer. The tires are noisy and vibrates when riding the bike. I tried emailing and Facebook messaging the company. Never any replies. Last week I called and one guy told me the tires are fine for that bike and I should "just ride it". He then proceeded to hang up on me. After calling again, another guy said he'd call me back after speaking to his manager - but no call back. The lack of customer service from this company is mind blowing. Do yourself a favour and buy somewhere else.
Other things worth mentioning:
-Only one bike has wheel reflectors.
-Only one bike has a chain guard.
-The computer on one bike will not keep the clock set to the correct time.
-Different seats on both bikes.
-Different rims on both bikes.
-1 fork is uneven and make the disk brake rub on the fork - constantly need to readjust the wheel.
-I already had 3 flat tires with the Mountain Bike tires riding on the road.

The Mariner V2 shares the same imported frame as several ebike companies in BC and resembles closely the more expensive Aventon Sinch. However, Voltbike stands out from all
competitors with much better options yet at a lower price. More importantly, however, is their reputation and amazing customer support located in BC. Greg and their staff goes the extra mile to make sure their customers are happy and taken care of. One star was taken off due to their website’s claim of 3 day delivery (which has since been updated to 7 days now). 7 days is, however, still unrealistic as I waited 21 days for delivery and 3 follow up calls, thus missing my mothers birthday. As well, had I not given them a call on the pickup date, I would have driven to coquitlam and returned home empty-handed because my ebike was not ready until the next day. Regardless, I am positive that Voltbike will only get bigger and better once they catch up with all the orders from the BC ebike government program. Keep up the great work!
