A little slow at times, they're a family owned business from what I comprehend, and they have a high volume of orders. So far, I've not been disappointed with their customer service or their actual products. I also appreciate that they're fairly easy to get a hold of, are responsive via email as well and they seem to care about their customers.

I do wish they had a larger cosmetic ingredient variety, because other companies do, but those other companies may have horrendous customer service, so you take the good with the less good.

Overall, I highly prefer Voyageur Soap and Candle so far, and I'm happy when I receive their products. I'd recommend them, especially, if you're Canadian!

One of the kindest associates I’ve met in any store! She made my day alot better and answered so many of my questions i started to feel bad. She is amazing!

The staff here are always helpful. Fantastic prices on essential oils. Great selection of soaps for every need and season. We stop in often.

These people are greedy VULTURES that prey on struggling small business owners. They inflate their prices by astronomical amounts! I’m talking tripling the price of ingredients just to suit their greedy needs! It’s really gross.
We will be boycotting this store until they treat their customers with respect and don’t rip people off.

I regularly use Voyageur as one of my suppliers for my company, Pure Botanica. The team is always prompt when responding to emails, courteous and helpful. Fantastic stock of high-quality inventory as well!

The greatest place for all your candle and bath needs. I've been shopping here for years and they have just about everything you could need for soap and candle making and much more.

I find blatantly misrepresenting what your products are to be pretty disgusting. I'm trying to get into perfumery, and ordered the "perfumers base" product. In fact, I ordered quite a bit. The description specifically states that this stuff is used for perfume creation.the hell it is! It smells like f-ing rubbing alchohol! What a scam. Really hope the company is willing to talk and explain what the hell exactly happened and make this right. How rude. I can't speak for any other products, but if this is how this company behaves, I don't see why I should buy anything else.

Living in Victoria, I have to go out of my way to get to the store, I’m never sorry I did.

Oh my goodness, I could spend all day here! You can find all sorts of supplies for soap, candle, cosmetic, and lotions making. There are scents, melt and pour materials, kits, and containers for purchase here. I have tried their soap-making it and it was excellent. The soap turn out perfectly!

They even have premade soaps (a large variety of artisan scents and types). The staff is friendly and their website has recipes on it. I definitely will be back,!

Worst people, service and their attitude.
1st. I knew they were closing which I mentioned while entering the store in last 15minutes, shopped in 5minutes as I knew what I was buying but the cashier kept on telling me how many minutes were left very rudely.
2nd Whatever I was asking her for help, she just didn’t want to help and kept dodging my questions
3rd. They had everything in stock at back but never looked when asked for it however, it came out of nowhere when we were leaving with nothing.

Attended a cold pressed soap class. Small groups. Extremely well organized. Instructor was exceptional. The store itself is a one stop imagination station with stock for all sorts related projects. Highly recommend.

Good selection and prices, but if you're in any sort of hurry to receive your product, look elsewhere. Shipping via FedEx only took a day, but it took Voyageur over a week to even drop my package off at FedEx.

This place has all the stuff I was missing and all my regular ingredients. I was ordering supplies from Ontario and paying so much extra in shipping. Since I found this place I made 3 orders in 12 hours lol

Absolutely love this company. I live in Alberta, and their online ordering system is great. VERY reasonable and competitive pricing, fast delivery (arrived in 5 days even during a holiday season as I placed my order ON CHRISTMAS), thoughtful packaging, great stock levels. And, I'm not sure if it was a little Christmas gift, but I did receive an extra, complementary item this time I ordered! Thank you!

Love this store! They carry a huge variety of items for home crafting. I love their fragrances in my candle making- they are not overpowering but smell exactly like what they say they do. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Ive moved across the country now and will still continue to order from them online because their products are just amazing.

Horrible management. We asked to speak to the manager regarding a simple question about pricing. The manager took a very long time to come out from the back once she did she didn’t talk to us but did something on the computer. She then proceeded to go on the phone and went to back to the back of the warehouse area. We asked the person at the cash register if she is helping us or not as we are patiently waiting. Then several other staff went back to the manager and they closed the door. It was so bizarre. Long story short the manager never came out to address our question. Very disappointed with the customer service as we drove from Vancouver to buy something there. In the end we left because clearly they have no idea how to communicate with their clients. Very weird.

I cannot say enough good things about this company! I have placed numerous orders with them and have come to learn they carry most everything I could possibly need for my hobbies that I was paying triple the amount for from Amazon and other companies previously. I get 5% off every order automatically and the shipping and processing is so fast! The customer service cannot be beat, as they are responsive, professional and very helpful. Voyageur will now always be my one-stop shop for all of my needs, and the prices are quite competitive compared to other companies I’ve shopped at. Highly recommend!

Every oil I’ve ordered so far has smelled amazing! Super fast shipping, and the products are carefully and thoughtfully packaged up to prevent leaks and damage during transit. I’m so impressed!

I have only shopped through their website, never in-person, but I have nothing but good things to say! The selection is great, delivery is very prompt, and the quality of ingredients never fails. But what really impresses me is their customer service for online ordering. If I ever have questions or need help, someone is always quick to reply and help me sort out my order. Not great customer service when it comes to returns or errors on their part but the products for candles are good.

This is hands down the best raw material store in Canada. I order to Alberta all the time and if I have a problem of any kind, the customer service is always super helpful. Unfortunately, Canada Post isn’t gentle with these products and almost every shipment comes with at least one damaged item. But after sending pictures to customer service representative I always get support. I’m really thankful to have at least one store in Canada that is this good with their customer service. Unfortunately, places like this are difficult to find.

Thrilled with my online order experience! The products came very quickly (2 days). They shipped my order the next day which I was surprised from a local company. The package was well protected inside and I was happy with how it was packed. I am a beginning soap maker and was very happy with the sizing fro the lowest priced items. The pricing is very good and I did a lot of comparisons online. High quality. My first batch turned out great. Placed a second order. Will be a continuing costumer. Thanks!

It seems customer service has vanished in the last 5 years. Sad but true. The staff are very punishing and very discriminating with respect to the so called 'virus'. Also, often the women (older, wears black, heavy set) can be rude, abrupt and very condescending making one feel 'not welcome'. I think I'll take my business elsewhere!

The best place for DIYers! I get all my supplies here. They’re timely, reasonably priced, and high quality. I can’t imagine shopping anywhere else! I love exploring their stock to find new products to try my hand at making - it’s a wonderful place for creativity!

Good products. The customer service seemed more interested in talking to each other than helping me. Funny, bar soap was 1/$4 and 3/$12. No deal if you bought more.

After shopping in this store for many years and spending alot of $ it hurts me deeply that I will not be giving voyageur my business any longer. I have a medical exemption and they will not let me shop without my mask.
Let's break down slk the laws and rights that they are breaking by not respecting my exemption.

Anywhere in Canada.

1. The Human Rights Acts of Canada supercede any provincial, federal or municipal Health Orders.

2. The following are valid reasons for claiming a mask exemption:

medical disabilitypsychological issuesexercise of religious freedomsintellectual impairments

3. Denial of service for those who cannot wear a mask is discrimination.

4. Being continually asked to wear a mask could be construed by a court as harassment.

Explain that if they continue in their discriminatory behaviour you will file a Human Rights Complaint against them and that convictions carry a penalty up to $50,000.00.
Also explain that the complaint will be filed against them personally as they are the one committing the offense.
Finally, you may wish to mention that under the Nuremberg Act, 'I was just doing my job' is not a valid defense. Every person is expected to uphold the law. Store policies cannot contravene the law.
Under the Privacy Act (PIPEDA: Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) you are not required to reveal or explain the reason for your exemption. A health or government agency has the right to request your medical records from your doctor. It is up to your doctor to decide if they will provide them.

Really great selection of carrier oils, essential oils, mica powders, lye, and just about anything you could want for small or large scale soap making.

Very friendly staff, I came in having no idea that certain candle waxes need certain wicks, they were patient and more then happy to help. Large assortment of wicks, scents, waxes, soap (bases& premade) and tons more

I just received my first order today. I find their products good and they had lots of selection online. A couple emails between Krista and myself were sent regarding a colour of lid I had ordered and I found her to be very helpful and polite.

I came into the store yesterday to return items. With the highway closed I was rather past the date in which they typically take back items. They were really great in allowing this return. Also all the staff that helped me were great. A jobs very well done! Thanks so much!

They charge a massive shipping fee, don't actually deliver the package, but still charge you the shipping fee even when UPS returns the package to them. They steal from their customers instead of dealing with UPS.

I have been a customer for nearly 10 years here. Unfortunately I will no longer be one. Today I was medically DISCRIMINATED against by the manager or whoever she was who came out from the back. I have shopped here for sometime with no issue about my exemption and suddenly I'm treated like a sub-human, dirty animal and was told I am no longer welcome here even after she said she respects my exemption. She also told another bold face lie to me about being told all this of this which I havnt and iv been shopping for a long time with no issue. The behaviour exhibited here is absolutely disgusting and that woman and store should be ashamed of themselves for this appalling behaviour.

Terrible place with stuff packaged in harmful plastic bottles which is bad or our health and earth. I do not like it here and won't be returning again.

Such a nice place! Lovely selection of everything and i wanted to make a few candles for fun and they have everything you need! Most of the people who work there are sweet too. There was a lady helping us check out that seemed a little cranky but most workers had a smile:) definitely going back soon!

The courier lost my very expensive shipment of supplies (2 orders) and rather than making me file a claim and wait, your customer service department re shipped the orders to me at no cost. I am so grateful! This time of year is difficult but you guys have made it easier. Superb service once again. I placed an extremely large order and had unforeseen delays coming to pick it up, but they kindly held it for me in the warehouse and were extremely helpful. Order was picked perfectly and products high quality, as always. My best supplier.

Been a customer for a very long time. The younger staff (male and female) are lovely, and very helpful. The older ones are a hit and miss. Mostly cranky. And the new manager is RUDE. She should NOT assist or talk to any customers, and just stay in the back! DO NOT go close to closing time. The manager will give you attitude and you can feel the awkwardness, and urgency to get out of there. RUDE. I miss the old manager with the black hair (Becky?) If they didn't have such a great selection, and awesome young knowledgeable staff.i would only give this 1 star.

Have been a customer of Voyageur for several years. The new location is well stocked. Only issue I have is: do they now fill the bottles of Essential Oil with Essential Oil or do they dilute it down? Eg:
Every time I use their Lavender EO, a milky residue remains in the diffusers. I clean the diffuser weekly with rubbing alcohol so.methinks Voyageur is cheapening their products in some way, but selling for full EO price when it clearly is not. Not good Voyageur, not good at all.

I put in a order and still have recieved no tracking number to show the item was sent. I tried contact them via email via chat via messenger. I still at this time have received no response. I am still waiting. If I dont get a response I will have to put in a dispute. I also notice that they have hardly any molds and micas online. Either way not happy with the no response as i will have to find somewhere else who values their customers more.

I wanted to leave a good review because I like their products and prices, but I cannot. I am entitled to refund due to a backorder issue (not really their fault so not even mad about that), but I have called at least 7 times, left messages on machines and with people and been told someone will get back to me but it never happens. Now I'm forced to leave a bad review and maybe contact the better buisness beareau in hopes of getting a response.

Amazing shop. Been a customer here for about 4 years and they have the best selection of raw materials and packaging products in the soap/skin care industry that I've seen. Their customer service is also some of the best I have ever experienced. We now live in Nova Scotia and still get the majority of our materials and packaging from Voyageur as they just can't be beat. Maaaaad supplies. Sometimes i burn through $300+ fast in there. Everything you need to make the finest gifts for your family and friends. All sorts of bottles for your packaging needs. Essential oils, neem oil, all types of oils. The best of the best with reasonable prices. Lots to choose from. They moved locations to fraiser highway and now they have more parking. If you need to pick up some korean food along the way, there's an H-Mart a stones throw away.

Went there for the first time. An associate walked with me to all the aisles where stuff I needed were. The girl at checkout quickly set up an account for me so that I could avail of the member's discount. There are two kinds of shopping baskets and shopping carts to use based on how much one is buying. Only paper bags and no plastic were used to put my shopping into:)

This place is FANTASTIC! It's truly the greatest source I have found for all the things a creative person would dream of finding in all things concerning soap and candles. Plus a ton of other things. They have a massive selection of containers and packaging for home made products as well as on hand bulk selections. In addition they have all of the bulk raw ingredients for production.
The staff are incredibly helpful and informative as well. Truly pros in their field.

I can't say enough about this place. The staff are so friendly and experienced with all the products they carry.
I love the massage lotion, buy it by the litre and pump. So many essential oils and oil blends. Everything you need for making candles, bath bombs, makeup and soap! They also have an arrange of bottles, sprayers, dropper bottles, everything for your homemade products. The prices are reasonable.

My goods are on their way. Though I was expecting my shipping to be done the week prior. She provided me with a tracking number which I am very happy about.

Customer service workers are rude and the information on their packaging is. Well not there. It's quite sketchy.

Large store which can be a bit overwhelming if you are here for the first time. Materials and sections clearly labelled so makes it easier. Helpful and friendly staff. They have a variety of things for you to buy, some raw and some in house made products (like bar soaps!)

Love this supplier and their variety, specifically their variety of Essential Oils. They carry certain EOs that I can't get from other suppliers. They are one of my go-to suppliers for my natural skin care business. Orders placed are always shipped and delivered in a timely fashioned and package adequately upon arrival. Will order from them again and again and again!

Placed an order only to be informed 1/3 of the items I ordered were out of stock with no estimated date on when they would be back in stock and no way to exchange the items for alternatives that were in stock.

So great to see this place expand. But not great to find they were out of stock for half my order. I'm told there was stock if I ordered on line but they need 48 hours to fill that order. So from my perspective I am a 'live' repeat customer standing in their beautiful new shop. I'm not local. They have the products in the back but they cannot sell it to me? Something is not working here. I also need to add the attitude of our sales associate could use some improvement
