The manager (Lin) was so helpful she went above and beyond what any other person at other Walmarts did I with all my words will recommend this location to everyone
After going to multiple Walmarts in search of a particular product, this location had 2 individuals who went above and beyond to find and bring me the item that I had initially thought was out of stock (empty shelf). Thank you for providing what is unfortunately becoming uncommon today, customer service.
My wife and I shop here all the time, this particular store (Super Centre) is massive, large aisles and it can be quite the walk If you walk the entire store a couple times. We’ve always found Staff friendly and helpful there. Reasonable priced item, (not a fan of their produce department). When they have their sales on, one could save substantially. They price match if you want (customers love you for this while they wait). Don’t think the cashiers are too keen on them either. Always friendly greeters ;they even give the disabled a chance to work also). Plenty of parking, and a McDondals right i store (if you’re are desperately hungry for food). Have a Deli, and bakery items, plenty of clothing items for sale, even discount racks to save more money. We will keep coming back to this store. (It’s our favourite Walmart).
Just want to give a shout out to a wonderful young man who helped my elderly Father with a new cell phone. His name is Adam in the electronics dept. He went above and beyond to explain the features of the new phone in a way that my father was able to follow. Thanks for all his help and patience.
I have left the Waterdown supercentre without completing my purchase twice recently and likely will not return. Both times there was only one human cashier available and only half of the self-checkout machines were operational. I calculated that it would take @ 10 minutes standing in line to access a human or machine to complete my purchase. No 'deal' is worth that much of my time.
For a small town Walmart I’m disappointed. I get supply is low but multiple empty shelves, women’s underwear on the floor, clothing section is so trashy looking - all crammed together. Makeup selection sucks. They were renovating and then what? Looks the same. I thought a Walmart in Mississauga would be a disaster, but one at south Common mall was rodeo drive compared to waterdown. I’ll drive to Burlington Walmarts from now on.
Absolutely ridiculous, Saturday afternoon and only 2 tills open. Line ups well into the clothes section. 4 customers have left their carts and just walked out. Hire more people!
It was great! Magma flowed through the aisles like blood through veins. No penguins died during this event but Hamilton City Council should memorialize them all the same as they gave their lives for Canada, a place not their native home.
This has to rank as the worst customer experience I have had at any retailer. I was told that Walmart no longer honors price matches by the cashier and asked for verification by a manager since the Canadian Superstore still honors that. I figured, OK, it's dumb to change their policy but told the cashier I would proceed without the soft drinks. I told her that I just wanted clarification about this policy change so she paged a manager.
This manager then proceeds to put the remainder of my order back to my shopping cart even though I specified that the only item I didn't want to purchase was the soft drinks I asked for a price-match. I told her to "leave my order alone, let me deal with it", to which she snapped back "DON'T TALK TO ME THAT WAY". She was standing about half a foot from me at this point. She added "I just assumed you were making the rest of your purchase elsewhere" As things escalated, I asked for her name, to which she said "I don't have to provide you THAT INFORMATION". After being confrontational with me for over two minutes "Beth" finally disclosed her name.
I will never shop at this location again and suggest locals go to a Real Canadian Super Store. This Walmart clearly doesn't want to retain customers. Head Office will be hearing from me about my experience at this location, particularly regarding the manager, Beth, who should not be working at retail, let alone as a manager/supervisor.
Be extremely careful shopping here. They have vendors buy out their shelve spaces in which they obstain from any liability. Bought a product that was a blatant scam and they told me they couldn't help me because it was on behalf of the vendor. The assistant manager was very helpful and did everything in her power but the customer service manager is an absolute toad. I now fear to shop here because obviously the due diligence isn't done on the quality of business that the vendors do and I just can't trust it. Not worth the hassle.
Went tonight at 8pm. Counted 7 staff members that had masks down around their chins. A group of snotnosed 17 year old boys that worked there in the seasonal section were too busy dancing and goofing off to put masks on properly. Stay safe. Go to Ancaster. This place is pathetic
Every time I ordered groceries online and pickup, the quality of the products are the worst I've ever seen. In able to get decent products one must go inside and shop for themselves. For me that is ok, but for others in different situations that is unfortunate.
Tried to buy a Cuisinart bbq 3 weeks ago at another Walmart and asked 2 associates to get me some help. Waited 30 minutes and no one showed up so I left and went home and ordered it online. Said it would be 6 days. Went today and they said it was on the way. Am cancelling it now. Don't buy BBQs from these guys.
Very unorganized. No employees to be found at the photo lab. Went to customer service, no one was there either. Was over charged at the photo lab. Explained to a supervisor. All she did was make up excuses. No apology at all. Brenda I believe her name was. Awful service today. As we spent $300 today.
Walmart has lots of savings and deals. The great value brand they carry helps keep costs low such as there canned foods and kitchen soap. They also break down the costs on the sales tags so you can choose what size works best for your family. The McDonald’s is inside the store and grabbing breakfast before hitting the isles is a breeze. Not to mention being greeted with a hello and bye whenever you enter the store

The pharmacy is needing some work with their customer service. The pharmacist Andrew is wonderful but the supporting staff needs a lot of work. There is a woman who answers the phone who is always so rude. She cuts me off when I try to ask questions and today she shhhhhh'd me. I have had several encounters with her over the years and because of this issue I will take my business elsewhere. Thanks Andrew for being an amazing pharmacist.
Decent location - but have had several false-positive run-ins with the exit door staff, who are doing some sort of untrained passive-security on customers. Them having been trained improperly resulted in one incident where one put their body in front of my heavy rolling cart to stop me exiting before speaking to me; very abrasive, and next time I might not see them and someone may receive bodily harm.
Used to do all my shopping here but recently applied for an overnight merchandising position and i don't think ill be coming back after the experience. The interviewer (who was a support lead *i think*) was more than 20 minutes late and 4 random employees were trying to get a hold of her because they noticed i was sitting there for so long. Once i finally got into the interview room the interviewer walked in and was talking on the phone and didn't acknowledge me at all. When the interview finally started she answered at least 5 phone calls and didn't remember anything i had said before she took each call. Super unprofessional and i left feeling extremely embarrassed and upset. Needless to say i didn't get the job and i wont be back for a while.
I have been shopping here since this store opened sometimes I go twice a week. I spend maybe two or three hundred each time I go in there, and I need an electric cart and there is the problem and they know it. So if you need accessibility help this is not the store you want to go to, because they don't care if they get your money. Every time I go to the store it takes me three carts to get through it because they keep running out this has been happening for years and years and they know it and they do nothing about it.so I've had to stop shopping and my favorite place because of accessibility problems
It's mostly a good store with nice employees, well-stocked and clean. However, I have never, ever experienced warm water when washing my hands in the front section bathroom. The water is freezing, making it difficult to wash for the recommended 20 seconds, which is super important right now.also, i once watched an employee, after using the facilities, come out and wash her hands wearing blue gloves.that can't be right.
I spend atleast $600-$800 on the online grocery per month. Every time I have ordered there was atleast one or two items that have been moldy or completely rotted. I have complained but got no contact back. This order today will be my last. I bought mini butter tarts and when I looked at them one was missing, also bought package chocolate covered raisins that looked like someone tried opening them and punctured a hole. There are many other issues that I dont even need to mention cause I could go on forever. Walmart you have lost me as a customer. You need to do better if people are spending that much for groceries at your store. Very disappointed!
Normally have good experiences here however on my last visit an employee named gurdeep in the bakery department was so rude to me that I almost no longer want to visit the store anymore
It was okay they had everything I needed but holy the secret shoppers there are so noticable they should give them a crash course in how not to be noticed and what to wear
I shop here quite often only because its convenient, the pharmacy staff are wonderful but unfortunately the store doesn't take good covid care in my opinion but otherwise the store is clean and tge staff is quite helpful
If my partner and I need to pop out for a trip to Wal-Mart, we will drive out of our way to come to this one! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, from the second you walk in the front door, to the moment you walk out. The store is also well stocked and highly organized!
Went to pick up 7 different items and they were out of every item. Asked staff and their answer was what ever what is on the Shelf is all we have yet didn't even know what was on the shelf or where it was for all seven items. And when we did go through the cashier we had bags of milks put on bread. We had bags of grocery just throwing on top of each other the cashier was either in a really bad mood or just a very bad cashier.
If you're looking for a top notch Walmart look no further. This is the cleanest and most well organized Walmart I've ever been to. I will go out of my way to go to this Walmart instead of one closer to my house. That's how serious I am about this.
It is my favorite Wal-Mart. The BIG problem with this store.the lack of painted lines at the entrances. The crosswalks should be clearly marked. NO EXCUSES!
The store is a MESS. It's constantly disorganized. Clothing on the wrong racks, toy department looks like a bomb went off, prices often missing on the shelves, everything on the wrong pegs, it's like no one ever does any kind of recovery or maintenance. The lines in the parking lot have worn off so be warned. Also, the puddles in the lot are more like lakes, especially near the area they set aside for online pickup.
Worst walmart in the Hamilton area. Friday afternoon and only 2 checkouts open. The cashiers NEVER bag your groceries if you bring your own bags. I'm done with this store. I am going to do all my shopping at no frills.
