I put in an online order a very specific food order all gluten free, no choice is you know! I figured this should speed things up well I waited 10 min to see a cust service person an additional 15 min to have someone bring me the order, then being approached at the 15min mark and asked to now drive around back, he then asked would you like me to bring you your order here which is what I was expecting as I wasnt instructed otherwise.so 10 min later he shows up with 3 item not avaiable and one item replaced with another, I get home the item that was replaced isnt gluten free. So my experience was a joke.

Cindy in electronics was very aggressive and rude with the volume and tone of voice towards me a customer and her colleagues. I walked saying to her that I did not like her attitude. I feel bad for the colleague who took time out to provide information over the phone. Cindy needs an adjustment by management

Accuses costumers of stealing and continues to harasses customers when they prove they were not stealing. Will follow you around and harass you till you get mad then throw you out because you got sick of their harassment. Then managers will side with employees even if there is video footage proving your innocence. Real bad customer service would never suggest to anyone to shop at Courtenay Walmart unless you want to be labeled a thief for no reason at all.

It's Walmart. This store seems to have problems getting stock we expect from other Walmarts

Normally, I have a fine time shopping here, most of the people at the self-checkout are lovely, and I like to chat with them while I checkout my items, but today, I was at the self-checkout, scanning an ungodly amount of snack-packs for a party, and as I went to scan my items, I started chatting with this tall stoic East-Indian man, and he directed me to put my items on the scale beside the teller, which, okay, no problem. I continued scanning my items, and he moved forward and hovered over me to look at the items I was scanning. At first, I thought he was just wondering why I was buying so many snack-packs, but then he started prodding through the bags, asking me if I had receipts for the bags, which I had brought from home, and had "SUPERSTORE, SHOP LIKE A MOTHER" on them. I also had two items from Dollarama that I had previously purchased in the bag, and he asked to see the receipt for those, despite the fact that they were not an item sold at Walmart in the slightest. So I showed him the still-attached price tags that said Dollarama on them, and explained I couldn't show him the receipts to the bags, because I had purchased them months prior, and no longer had them. I get doing your job to deter thievery, but this felt very rude, and like it was going to far, especially with my personal bags that I had brought, due to Walmart no longer using plastic bags. I'm not sure if he was new, or just takes his job too seriously, but I hope this review is read, and perhaps this employee is spoken to, so that others do not have the same experience and have a bad impression of the store. The staff was very helpful and friendly got what I wanted and didn't have to wait in line.

I worked here for 15 years. As a sales associate, cashier, and greeter.the people that work here are always friendly and willing to help.

I love this place! Produce is fresh, flyers are up to date and there are usually plenty of tills open.

Large selection of inventory. Find the food sections often lacking restocking. Usually only a couple open tills with large lines. Self checkout move quick. Lots of security. Good parking

For such a huge hypermarket they had THREE manned checkouts with long lines and loads of self-checkouts which were under used. Walmart - when are you going to get the message that people don't really want to use self checkouts? Just to save a few dollars! There were plenty of idle employees milling about too! Not sure how they were occupied. I gave 2 stars but that's being generous. From now on it's Superstore for me. They have manned checkouts. ️

1st time back there in a long time and everything is getting so pricy. I understand the economy and rise of inflation but comparing prices with superstore they were alot more. But I will give props to the security guard. Was there when they were escorting a foweled mouth thief out the door. Your patience and dur diligence was on point.

Rat maze to check out, no bags and wount give out boxes from the back. Inconvenience is clearly the goal?

My name is Somsuk and I visited Walmart on 6 March and my experience was awesome because Niraj helped me on self checkout. He is very polite and helpful.

I can ways find good deals whenever I go to Walmart.
Great food, drinks, products, clothing, pet products, books, shoes, and all kinds of everyday items.

Garlic roasted chicken is the best in town. Chicken is local. Taste better than Cosco, Quality food and the Superstore. Prices are also fair on many vegetable products fruits dairy and meat.

Very clean store with very good customer service. But they need more stricter enforcement of the face mask policies because it is the law and covid 19 is still a threat.

I did not necessarily like this place. It's Walmart. Don't expect a rando on the internet to tell you about fteaking Walmart

Went to cash in my winning scratch and wins. After waiting in line for 5 minutes I finally got to the counter. The old man at the counter asked if I had scanned the tickets on the machine and I said no, so he told me I had to scan them first (no one was behind me now). When I moved over to the scanner he proceeded to tell me that he was going on his break and wouldn't be back for 20 minutes. So not only did I have to do half of his job, he then just walked away after I did.

Pretty well a one stop shop. Walmart is always priced competitively and this location is no different. I've recently bought a trampoline and TV through Walmart.ca and it was sent to the nanaimo store. I must say it was a great experience all around. When my items arrived they contacted me and when I went to pick them up they helped me put them in the car. I will definitely be watching for price drops and will continue to be a customer. The employees were stellar and went above and beyond.

Place is the same as always. Still do not like the self check outs. Would rather deal with a human.

Michelle went above and beyond when I was struggling at the till one day.
I mentioned not wanting to go to the trouble of starting a fire that morning.
I was wearing double layers and getting quite hot and exhausted while shopping.
She went to the back of the store and brought out some fire starters and compressed logs.
I've been buying cartons of Enviro logs ever since.
It's always wonderful to meet people like Michelle who are not too dour and self involved to have a quick chat.
Many of the staff at this particular Wal-Mart are friendly.
But Michelle stands out with her cheerful authentic manner.
I hope someone in charge reads this because excellence should be acknowledged and rewarded.

It's a walmart. Not sure what else to say. This one has a grocery section along with the regular walmart stuff.
Lots of parking options.

Not bad location but stalk ppl are often lining the isles which can cause some ppl traffic kind of annoying at times. But not to bad to shop after 7 or 8 pm.

2 items wrong prices. I had to go back into the empty shelves store and price check myself! Yeah I got my money back but I did all the work.
AND NO TOILET PAPER

Not a fan of big box stores, staff rarely know where things are, stock is either good or low, remember they are based on profit from drawing us in for low prices.

Never enough cashiers open. Hate being asked about ringing up my own groceries if i wanted to use self serve checkout i would but i don't. I think they take away peoples jobs and will never use them.
