Walmart Supercentre

Today. I called the customer service at 909am. Whoever she is did not want to to her job by checking which store has it. She did not even want to give me her name so that I can give a good report or feedback about Walmart's customer service. Anyways just want to let u know that the customer service hates her job by not giving customer service. If you hate your job just quit or fire her. Lol

Almost no staff or agents to check out with. It's all self service or 15 minutes lines for a clerk.
ATM charged 9.1% conversion fee. Rip off.

I went in to purchases Canvases with my son for our paint night. When I got to the craft section the canvas that we needed were marked at 2cents. I thought it might be wrong so checked the scanner and it came up 2cents. My 3 year old and me then went to self check out with our 4 canvas and when I went to scan them it said attendant needed. The lady then came up and told me I was not allowed to buy the item's. I was very confused asked why not and she called her Manager Megan. Megan than told me that the vendor wanted the items back and that they were not going to sell them to me.
I told her it made no sense as to why they were taking my items and saying that it corporate who came in and labeled these.
She then said she didn't want to fricken deal with me and yelled across to customer service to call another manager. The next lady came over told me to put the items down and that she would not be selling these items because the Vendor wanted them back and that they get the emails and have to do this and how it's not their fault they have to take my items from me
My son and I had to leave the store without our items. Humiliated infront of everyone and my son crying as to why we couldn't paint.
I am uderly disguised with how my son and I were treated.

I have called and I am waiting to hear back on how this will be rectified.

I hope no person of color has to go through this dehumanizing experience! Especially with their child watching.

Even though they have some pathetic produces (in product quality), but I was very impressed with their online grocery order system. Very well organized online order. When it comes to fresh produce, though, I would not recommend making a purchase here, or else try to pick out yourself when purchasing.

I like shopping at Walmart. They have the things I need. Staff are always friendly to me and help me when I ask. Will continue to frequent this store.

Convenient location, but they have the worst habit of all Walmart's in the lower mainland when it comes to answering customer calls. They never pick up phone and when you go to transfer no one ever picks up in depts.

Got something at self checkout but the staff there wouldn’t cut the security tag and told me to go to customer service. They should carry the pliers with them at self checkout so that customers don’t have to wait in line again just to get a tag cut. Also there was like 5 staff standing in a circle chatting

Great choice of places to eat just next to it so you have a choice of foods.the store has everything you need well set out fruit and veg are great

BEWARE one of the cashiers here Harpreet tells you she’s signing you up for a free points card, and even after repeatedly telling her we didn’t want a MasterCard, she wrote down our information from our credit card payment. Thankfully we were able to stop her. We reported to the manager as she was doing it to numerous people in the line but nothing was done. Terrible experience, very unprofessional.

Good size for its city location.
Getting a bit dated though - but, what can you really expect. It's Walmart.

Good store but many many cempty shelves. Why? It is because of their over dependence on imported goods. Start offering more local made goods Walmart

Beware of the Walmart MasterCard scam! They push you into getting one, even if it means cheating you. I was deceived into getting one by one of their employees who claimed it is just a rewards card and you don't need to run a credit check. Turns out she lied and cost me points on my credit score. They'll do anything to sell you the card. Be careful.

The staff at this location are not helpful at all. I was going to buy a curling iron however it had a anti-theft device on it.was told by cashier that I had to go to customer service to have it removed.her response should have been pay for it first then go to a customer service to have it removed.because when I got to customer service with the unpaid iron I was told I had to pay for it first

On their website it says that they have the Holiday Time 7.5 Flocked Christmas Tree in stock (almost sold out). It is sold out at all locations so I called in yesterday to confirm that they have it because I am coming from South Surrey, so I don't want it to be a waste of a drive. They didn't pick up the first time but answered the second time and said they would check for me, I was placed on hold for 30 minutes and no one came back so I ended up just hanging up. Tried to call back but no answer.

Drove all the way there today because it still said in stock but guess what.there was no stock in this item. Waste of time and gas. Fix the website, its not hard Wal-Mart.

I was shopping this morning there. They just had 3 customers, it wasn't busy at 8 a.m. I used self check out, and I discarded my purchase receipt because I did not need the receipt. The man standing in front of the door asked me for a receipt and I told him I had thrown the receipts in the trash. He forced me to go back and look in the rubbish and look for receipt. We are in corona situation. But he forced me to put my hand in the trash and find it. And he took all of my time. It is a shame for Walmart to force it to their customer to put their hand in the trash. They are a shame and a big mess here. They do not follow the health protocols in Corona.

I’m appalled at what happened to me & my friend in Walmart Lougheed mall store last night Sept. 29,2021

I was starting my Xmas shopping. I was purchasing an air fryer with some other small items. I scanned some margarine and bagged it and hadn’t realized it actually didn’t scan. This worker comes up to me and without a word of lie says “don’t think they are not watching you, that’s why I’m here, they called me to come over because you’re stealing”. I had NO IDEA what she was referring to until she took the margarine from the bag. She was VERY LOUD! In a public place without any concern for me. She was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

I asked to speak to the manager, he was gone so the assistant manager came over. All he said was “that’s there job to keep an eye on what the customers scan”. I told him I totally agree with their job duty, but I was being accused of stealing margarine. I had an air fryer in my biggie! Don’t you think That would be the better item “to steal” if I was planning on stealing. All this assistant manager said was “I do apologize for her conduct. I will speak with her”.

I’m just sick! I have NEVER ever taken anything from their bulk bins. I see a lot of customers do this and am disgusted!

I’ve NEVER been more humiliated in my life!
There should be consequences for her actions.

If your intention is only to shop with least human interaction, the place is great. They have stocks of most of the items we specifically go looking for. Attitude wise most of the Chinese staff are so rude that you feel like never shopping there again! Like warning you cuz you don't have a $ to take a cart out. Not like am going to steal a cart after shopping for $100-200 and run across the streets Please Walmart, either teach them some courtesy or make carts readily available without this coin thingy!

REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE!
Waited at cosmetics service counter for more than 20 mins with three other customers waiting for the person who has the key for a locked beauty item. Went back and forth 5 TIMES to customer service to ask who has the key but apparently no one knows who's working where on which day.

Tried to call store manager at the STORE NUMBER provided below his name but call went Walmart.ca general voicemail and NO ONE IS PICKING UP!

This is rediculous! ! ! Walmart should seriously improve your customer service at each location!

It's your typical Walmart. I found what I needed, bacon & limes at a better price than Independent Foods. Self checkout was a little busy but it's usually pretty quick.
The staff could be a little somewhat more attentive to customers needs. Sometimes I feel like I'm imposing and I shouldnt approach them.especially when they're engaged in conversion amongst themselves.
I also find when going through self checkout and I want to pay by cash I have definitely felt like I was bothering them (again I'm interrupting their conversations, sheesh!) and shouldn't even make that request even though it's available.

Not too crowded in the evening. Glad that they have in stock what I needed. Guess they are fully stocked in almost all of their products. It's so quiet that it felt like I am having a private shopping at the store. Friendly staff.

I’m always going to Walmart as I live so close. I also had a really awesome experience with an employee who helped us get an additional discount on a bicycle that had some scratches on it. It was the last of that bike and so it really helped us out!

I was treated like garbage by the employee who works in the photo lab.
I Asked to get sports cards from the locked case. The employee was incredibly rude and disrespectful. He pulled the boxes I wanted them and then went to the price checker? No idea why and thwn says 'They're expensive do you still want them? '. He then 'accidentally' threw one box on the ground without any apology. I figured they were protected from falling for shipping reason, but nope, he damages my carda. I shouldn't be treated differently because I look different than you.

I've only been to 2 or 3 Walmarts in my 5800 years of existence, but I've seen many, many more in YouTube videos by a vast cross-section of YouTubers, and I feel that that could maybe make me an expert on Walmart locations. I'm sure you agree, and so, speaking as an expert, you can trust me when I say that every Walmart in North America is exactly the same as any other. Therefore this one is like the rest: awesome prices, but one needs a shower when they get home. The words of an expert.

Shady tactics now. Their "Walmart Rewards" that they sign you up for at the till is actually a credit card that they don't tell you about. They didn't give any information or ask permission to apply or pull my credit score. They didn't inform you of the details beyond, it's a Walmart Rewards card that gets you some points on your purchases. This needs to be addressed and the managers that are forcing cashier's to do this need to be dealt with.

It's OK but my experience with shopping malls is becoming less desirable
The clean baskets ran out an someone told me I have to spray a used one myself. What? I'm a customer here and I have to do THEIR job?

Was asked to see receipt, man behind me had a more expensive item than me and wasn't asked to present a receipt. Really enjoy being racially profiled.

I finished paying at the self-checkout counter and found out a few minutes later that I left out an item. When I went back to the counter, there was no product, so I went to the customer service and told the staff about my situation, and he told me to take the same item because I already paid. To be honest it happened by my mistake that I left the product, but at that moment, I was so touched by Wal-Mart's customer satisfaction service. I use Wal-Mart almost for grocery shopping every other day. Walmart always give me a definate satisfaction. I will definately use your shop as it is now. Thank you Walmart!

Mouse infested store gross and disgusting went home and called the board of health. Went into the dairy aisle and picked up some cream cheese and sour cream they were not outdated got them home and both had mold on them. Will never shop there again

Mouse infestation. Wouldn't buy food from here. This is actually the 2nd walmart in the lower mainland that I've found rodents in, scurrying in the food sections. It's a hygiene issue and should be addressed by the store. I wouldn't want my customers to get sick.

The people who answer my call hang up my call very quickly twice! You should change a group of educated people to answer the calls! Very very sad about the service I received

The service is horrible, the store is filthy, employees including the manager are rude, they are always on their cell phones, greeter by the name conchita is rude and a liar, there is nothing good about this store to say they do not care and will never when you walk into the store it's like you are in a different country no one speaks English most of them talking speaking different language its Canada not India never stepping foot in that store again

Syed, the Service Manager helped me when Online Customer Service did not. I returned a product because the wrong product was sent to me after ordering online. Online Promised pick up for 3 weeks. If not for Syed I do not know what I would have done as I am moving in less than 1 week and needed my refund. David, the Assistant Service Manager was also very helpful as he recognized me and made sure I was taken care of.
Thank you Syed & David and of course the 2 individuals who helped unload my car.

Big and has good selection, my only complaint is the self check out staff are basically human totem poles, ultimately just there for decoration and not much else

Try to avoid this Walmart at all cost.they have a very rude old lady working at the self check out by the mall entrance.she looks at people who are not from her race differently and in a very rude way, wich is not acceptable at all.

I would shop here often because it’s close to my house and the prices are decent. That being said, I have seen the store on many occasions FILTHY. I came to buy makeup remover pads a few nights ago and the area where this product is kept was full or garbage, dirty paper towels and pieces of FOOD. I was disgusted and decided to shop elsewhere. I do understand that this is a busy store and things can get messy. Either way, an employee should’ve seen and cleaned this up. On that same night I tried to buy some skincare products but all the tubes of the specific product I wanted were bent. Usually the store is cleaner but lately things have just gone downhill over here. I don’t shop here as much as I used to and I will continue to take my business elsewhere until they decide to clean up!

I have been coming to this Walmart location for years as i grew up in the area, i came in got what i needed and went to the checkout. I had to ask Ravina twice to put some of my items in big bags. Then she was rude about it. This will not stop me from shopping at this location however i will go to a different checkout cashier next time if i see her. I get everyone is stressed i work on the frontlines as well and do not disrespect people or be rude. Ravina has no customer service skills

First time first time coming to this Walmart me and my friend are being accused of stealing which then we asked the managers to see these pictures of us apparently there's a couple of pictures of us each and they refuse to show us pictures and treaties very ignorantly and talking Ethan in East Indian in front of us so we don't understand what they're saying about us or what the situation is going on about and for that matter was embarrassing and customers in and just stick treating us like some kind of joke or something

Horified to see that the walmart no longer has people to check you out on both sides of the store, so now if you want to pay for your product, and you want to leave throught the mall, you have to walk to one end of the store, pay for your things then walk all the way back to the mall. I dont use the self checkout because I DO NOT WORK AT THE WALLMART, I dont know about anyone else, but i am not free labour.avoid this store, your time is valuable and its not worth it

Poor quality of meat products. Stuff in photo center don't want to work. I ordered Christmas cards on nov 22. On dec 5 I suppose to pick up them. But employees didn't receive it. But when I called to costumer service on December 16, in 30 minutes "by miracle " they found it. Management seems to be careless about it. Only one lady in costumer service fulfilled her duties good. So additional star for her

It’s awful a lovely lady ask for help and the said find it yourself my jaw dropped so when she went to complain they said ok Karen and when she left they laughed at her so rude so I ask for help got the same answer find it your self

This location does not even deserve one star.
The old lady at the mall self check out side is rude and unprofessional.
She looks at me the whole time like i am doing something wrong.

Quite a good selection of goods and food when you consider both the size of the store (smaller vs.other Walmart supercenters) and location (Squamish isn't exactly a big city). Had a decent chunk of stuff I needed every time I went. Rarely left missing items on my list.

I am very dissapointed with how they managed covid 19 protections.after declaring the masks as mandatory most of their own personnel did not wear masks.

I understand why your carts has to have a dollar token to be able to use it but make sure also to have some coins available to change some bills for people who doesn't have coins on hand. 3 cashiers refused to change my bill because they couldn't open their till, pointed out the customer service area that has a long line up. So disappointed.

This is not one of the best Walmart I've shopped in but it has most items I need. The produce fruit section is quite disappointing. The fruits looked limp and unappetizing. But will definitely shop here again due to its convenience in location for me.

Self service checkout is GREAT, however cashiers are slow. Right after I started lining up yesterday a small? Philippino? Asian lady at about 5: 30 says sorry! I'm on my break (put a sign up BEFOREHAND). We should replace these lazy, slow cashiers with more self service checkouts

This was my favourite Walmart but the last few trips have been northing short of a migraine. Staff too busy chatting to bother to help, prices on wall different than register, shelves empty and dirty, plus checkout lady didn't even have a pen for the customer before me to sign anything so I had to dig through my purse just to get her out of the way so she could start my purchases.

I was just at this Walmart Sept 19/16. DISGUSTED to say the least. The entire store is filthy and the staff are rude and don't even greet you or smile.
As I was getting the few items I needed, I witnessed a guy with a back pack loading it up with RockStar canned beverages. Curious I followed him to the exit as he passed right by security and left the store. I immediately went to the 2 security guys just standing there, to inform them of the theft and both of these non caring lazy individuals said to me WE HAVE TO HEAR A BEEP AS HE EXITS! In other words they could care a less. This is why our grocery prices keep increasing. I'll NEVER shop at this Walmart again.more so because of the filth, including the restrooms which just reek, the lack of respect from the employees and individuals always smoking and begging directly outside the entrance.

Service is not available. Clerk at self checkout is busy chatting with friends. Has to approach her three times to get her to look for someone to look for a bar code. Waited 10 min here.that someone hasn’t shown up yet. No help at all.

Worst experience ever.worst door lady physically took my cart and stopped me from leaving the store because she was assuming i stole something in the store she let people of her own kind leave the store without checking their receipts.that left a bad taste in my mouth.if i couldn't afford my groceries i wouldnt have left my house.i feel degraded.i feel because am black she jus assumed i came to steal.asked to speak to the supervisor and she was so rude.and felt like my problem wasn't heard.walmart you can do better than this.train people to provide customer service not mean racist people.i am gladly taking my business somewhere else they won't look at the colour of my skin.i was so disappointed i and hurt.

Be aware.this store racialy profiles as you leave.it has happened to me twice.after it happened i sat and watched for a bit to make sure i wasnt crazy.sure enough i was right.next time i will try to share a video.

Haven't decided if I like Walmart or not. The quality of their clothes and most of their products begins at the very low end, but their target is families on a budget. This location is huge and has a bit of everything. The most surprising thing is how bewilderingly cheap their produce is - their other food really isn't - but compared to big box groceries, it is a deal. If you don't mind the crowds, it's ok.

Unbelievable! Been on the phone for the past 55 minutes and still havent been able to talk to anyone from the customer service. What kind of customer service is that.

Always slow cashes like most walmaWal, but I went in to do groceries and they just installed the loonie for a carriage. I didn't have a loonie on me so off to Safeway.

Not as polite and helpful as before, I spent over 1,000.00 there about a month ago and I had to pay for my TV in that department, and because I wasn't finished shopping I had to take my 40in TV all around the store with me for over an hour. All because I was taking a Taxi home, why couldn't I pick it up at Customer Service, or why couldn't the employee coming on hold it there in Electronics? Now I need another shopping cart and no one offered me a hand, now I'm dragging around 2 carts. Finally I'm checking out and of course I (the cashier) need another cart because one of my carts are full and the other is halfway. Guess what? I'm required to go get it on my own and pay another loonie out of my pocket. I was treated like an annoyance to them, I had to ask my son to leave school early to help me. I don't think I even got a thank you or goodnight, and no one held or opened the doors for us as we were leaving pushing and pulling out 3 carts, but they made sure to check the receipt!

I think this is the first Walmart that I have actually liked. Everything is easy to find and they carry many vegan options to buy. The prices are very reasonable and they have an excellent selection of fruits and vegetables as well other product to choose from. I did find a few things that are over priced, but I guess they have to make up the difference somewhere.

The store is neat and tidy and looks clean. It is a huge improvement from the “Target” that use to be there.

The only thing that can be improved, at this time, is service. There are not enough people working there to help people find what they are looking for. Maybe if they increased the pay at Walmart, then they would get more people who would want to work there.

Was there this afternoon. Not one cart available in the parking lot. Go inside the main entrance and not one there either. Walk all the way to the mall entrance and not one there. I go back to the main entrance to find it's not just me there is a handful of us looking for carts. The lady standing at the entrance greeting customers essentially shrugged her shoulders at us with no explanation. I asked her where her manager was and she pointed to another lady. I asked if she was a manager and she said for the cashiers. I told her there were no carts available and I've looked everywhere. She said there's nothing she can do about it and that this had been going on for weeks now with customers complaining. I said well what should I do and she said wait or go find one. I'm 9 MONTHS pregnant! And its very obvious and was already struggling to catch my breath from looking everywhere. I had to go and wait and find one in the parking lot. THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

Just awful. Customer service is the worst anywhere, including other wal marts. They leave their employees understaffed and in 6 years shopping there, never felt like I was anything more than a burden as a customer.

Prices are similar, In many cases better at the Independenet Grocer, or the Safeway at Burquitlem.

Please don’t shop hear, they don’t care about their employees, or customer satisfaction and prices are very competing at nearby stores.

As a last resort, it’s just a smidge above almost tolerable.

It seems several of the older Walmarts in Calgary (this one and Royal Oak come to mind) have been 'retrofitted' to allow for the grocery section they added about a decade ago. Unfortunately, these stores are some of the worst supermarkets to shop in I've ever been to. Messy, disorganized, crowded, unsigned, and the staff obviously just don't care.

Also, I called the other day to enquire about a product and after no one picked up after 10 rings I decided to see just how long they would let it ring. FORTY MINUTES LATER, I finally hung up. Unacceptable in any situation. You have terrible staff who clearly are there to meet some sort of visa requirement and not because they are good at what they do or care about the people they serve.

Location is nice being at the mall, definetly really busy and long lines when I went to visit a couples days after they opend. So on another note my mom had gone to get some dinner items and when she came home to opend the steak and it smelled really bad. The expiry date was on November 1st and right now yes it is October the 26th but it still was bad and now we had to waste our time going back to either exchange or get our money.they should really check on their food products daily before selling them to people or fix their dates possibly. She even said there were some that were getting green at the front, So she figured the one she got would still be okay since the expiry date was still quite aways.

Possibly the worst Walmart in the city. Consistently out of stock for things, shelves are always a mess, the whole store is a disorganized disaster, and the staff couldn't care less. Pay a couple bucks more and go to the Safeway at the other end of the mall

Typical Walmart. Decent quality and service for a decent price. Cleanliness is ok and the staff are mostly friendly and helpful. The only problem is that items on the shelves usually aren't right above or under where their price is. My guess is that customers sometimes look at items and move them around and no one in the staff bothers to put them back in their correct place. Although I have seen the same problem in other Walmarts as well.

Found what I was after, and got out in a reasonable time. Screaming good deal on RV anti freeze. Zippy hint. Try the automated checkout lines. Twice as many machines as there were checkout cashiers. And about half the lineup.

Lacks everything that made Walmart great, no enthusiasm, empty stock, lack of happiness and long boring line ups that plagued Zellers and Woolco, typically Canadian!

I found everything I needed in this centre. Great customer service. The cashier Abed was extremely helpful and nice despite the inconvenience caused by me. I will definitely make return visits.

Besides having lots of ample parking and over 10 handicap parking stalls, the store itself is in disarray. The food shelves are always running low or completely sold out of products and the ice cream and dairy section are probably the worst stalked of any Walmart in Calgary. The staff are divided 50/50 on friendly and helpfulness with the friendly and helping haff being really truly helpful and friendly and the other half just truly resentful in the fact they work there. As of two weeks ago they still had not had a store manager and when customer service is confronted with a situation they will not speak up in regards to the truth about a situation when they know it to be of valuable assistance to the customer. I've seen this happen on many occasions with stores security manage even refusing to tell a costumer his name. Knowing there is no store manager makes it a free for all for the employees I think and more like a showdown in the wild west than anything. If your the significant other of the one doing the shopping and your just on location as the driver and or car loading of products being bought, I highly recommend sitting at the bench in front of Customer Service as it is like watching a live SNL skit - funny stuff.

It's a shameful Walmart and the fact I posted customer service is more like watching SNL skits should tell you everything. I received a $500 Walmart gift card from Walmart Canada for an apology to an incident regarding that very same security manager who wouldn't reveal his name to someone else. As much as that card would have been useful I donated it to a charity instead rather than having to shop there again. I go out of my way to shop at another Walmart location and only go to Westbrook Walmart I'd necessary now. With it all not being negative I Wil say a positive is the cleanliness and the produce is not all bad either.

The only problem is the entrance to the store and the parking lot, where there's drug activity due to the Ctrain station nearby and homeless people asking for money.

Not as busy as most. Quick efficient tills. Asking staff for help depends which one you ask. Some just stare at you with a blank Look but most are suuuper helpful.
